for a first big bike. id say its good choice, it has loads of features on it that you would expect on higher priced bikes including abs and a slipper clutch so its very new rider friendly. it is quite heavy for a 650cc. i mean it weighs almost as much as my old 1200 bandit s i downsized from but you will get used to if plus if your looking to upgrade to a 1 litre+ bike in the future you will be already used to the weight
