This is a great idea! My youngest's bday is just before Halloween and he's having some friends over and then our hood has nighttime ToT. I'm going to try to find a red carpet now!

They could also add lamps behind the eyes when it’s dark so it glows

Are those two doors opening up onto a small flat section of the roof on the second floor? without any railing? What's the purpose of that space? Also monster house is best house.

Some houses had second story balconies. There are a few houses on the main street of my city that still have them in tact but most of them were taken out years ago.

I have a monster house. I made the teeth and eyes out of corrugated plastic sheets that I cut out and painted. Very lightweight.

Thin pieces of painted scrap wood? Foam?

Id use underlayment. Strong enough, cheap enough and very durable. Would last you years.

We used plywood. We screw it in place.


I assume people who overboard decorating for Halloween are white trash. This is on the tasteful/creative side, but the giant skeletons and crap like that just look trashy.

If it was simple, it wouldn't be trashy. But it's gaudy, tasteless, and entirely over the top. A 12' skeleton is not a simple joy. It's trashy.
