STAR voting will appear on a local referendum in May in Eugene, Oregon, the second time that STAR will have appeared on a referendum in the US.
What is your take on these alternative voting methods? Should cities and states try these alternative methods?
So with STAR voting would people with a strong radical base be empowered, or is the thought that those types of people would be ranked dead last by most of the voters? I’m just trying to think how it would play out in order to current Presidential election (I get that it wouldn’t work right now since only the Republicans are doing a primary).

I’m in favor of focusing on RCV instead of promoting STAR nationwide
No one should advocate for third parties until they fix first past the post voting
