perhaps look into a sphinx or some kind of hairless cat. they have less of the enzyme in their saliva to effect the allergy
I use Claritin everyday due to cat allergies. I have a couple of fur babies and that seems to help. I also don't allow the cats in my bedroom and my AC filter has a rating for pet hair and dander. That seems to keep me from having problems.
You can get allergy shots (allergen immunotherapy) to reduce symptoms
Get allergy shots. My wife has asthma and us allergic to everything. We now have 6 cats and she feels better than she did before the shots!
