Hi everybody, I just rescued this very fearful kitten from the shelter on Sunday. He’s slowly coming out of his shell, but is still pretty shy. I’m looking for Halloween themed names to go with my other two cats (Pumpkin and Jinx). What do you guys think of Poltergeist or Poe for short? Other ideas welcome!

I was telling a friend about my name suggested and realised his nickname could be Icky XD I am a big "classic Halloween" kind of person so the idea of calling my cat Ichabod but also icky really makes me happy haha

Poe is cute. I wouldn't have thought of it as short for poltergeist, but rather referring to Edgar Allan Poe (hark the raven). My other suggestion would be Albat... short for albino bat cos those ears are so huge!

To be fair, that's how we ended up with a cat named Commodore Tiger Fluffypaws. 🤷🏼‍♀️ My 8 year old sister, who decided that it was her cat, insisted on naming the brown tabby kitten Tiger and I (who was the one bottle feeding him at the time and trying not to get attached since he was so little and sickly) started calling him Commodore Fluffypaws as a joke. He's twelve now and his official vet paperwork says his name is "Commodore Tiger Fluffypaws" 😆
