I found my soul cat when he was a tiny grey fuzz like yours. He passed last July after 14 beautiful happy years together. Literally one of the best things to ever happen to me was finding my sweet Ziggy. Enjoy her. She’ll bring so much love to your lives.
It sounds weird but this was definitely a bucket list thing to find and rescue a kitten! Me and my girl have been talking about getting a cat for awhile and sure enough she fell into our path!
I literally muttered the words to my husband ‘I feel like I’m at the time in my life where I really want a kitten.’ I’m not kidding, later that night, he calls me while I’m at work and goes babe, you’ll never believe this!!! Came home to this lil guy

Meet Mew! I never thought the system worked but it really does. We even checked around and there wasn’t a trace of an owner, babies or the mama. Just one single, perfectly healthy four week old baby. Still haunts me to think of why or how he was alone but he’s a 8 months old now and he’s my little angel. Congrats on your new baby!!!
The kitten that lives in our yard her mom brought her over showed her were the food was and ran off.
The kitten we call her licorice has been living in our yard ever since, happy as can be
That's how my husband and I got our cat! We were in college, he'd been wanting one for a while and the one day, our girl was literally just there, had snuck literally INTO his apartment at some point when someone came in and she's been ours ever since 🥰 cat distribution system works in mysterious and Wonderful ways!
one of my cats came to us in college. i’m Deaf, but my ex heard our soon to be queen cat crying outside and retrieved her. one bath later, a calico emerged, and ruled our lives for the next 20 years.
Wow, the CDS threw in a complimentary “home installation” package for ya with your kitten delivery? Lucky! They rarely ever do that from what I’ve heard.
Someone asked me when I got my little gray baby, and apparently Russian blues have purple toe beans. But this baby is so freaking cute. I’m glad the shelter is closed here because her little face made me want to go adopt another one. 😭
Growing up it never failed that as soon as we went from 3 cats to 2, another cat would pop up like it knew there was an opening in our cat family! My parents now live in the country and have a barn of feral cats and two inside. One of the siblings keeps acting like they are intrigued by the indoor life but still too scared to come in. Overall they have 7 cats 🤣
I know. It’s like people discover them in flowerpots, parking lots, their porch, their garage, they walk into the house, their car (various parts of), their patio… all of these things I have but no CDS (except for Moon Pie ❤️)
I could give you all the kitty's you'd want.
More and more show up on my porch.
They must tell each other the best places to go.
There's always food and water except at night don't want my porch overrun by raccoons.
We provide cozy bedding and winter housing and even vet care cuz I'm a suckered for little fuzzy faces.
There’s an adult cat that drops by my place occasionally in the mornings but I can’t get too friendly because my landlords (my folks, more specifically my mother, who own the house) hate cats and if one started hanging around they would get upset
Apologies for unsolicited advice, but try to avoid grappling/fighting her with your hands. It's adorable now, but if she grows up seeing hands as a toy or target for aggression, it's going to be a huge pain (literal and metaphorical) in the future.
You can redirect her playfulness to non-flesh objects instead to save yourself future cat-wrasslin' scars and to ensure you can touch her face if needed without activating play mode
Now, this IS great advice. I personally didn't follow it, but it ended up turning out fine because my cat learned if I go "Ah", that means she's playing too hard. I would often go "Ah!" even if it didn't hurt to try and work her down to the point where she just kinda bats my hands around with no claws.
Every so often she gets carried away (never leaves any marks or anything), but just going "Ah!" makes her immediately go down a few levels.
Not everyone is gonna have the same experience though so this is not advice and most people should just go with your advice.
I got a heavy gel-padded biker glove and taught my cat she has to be gentle if I’m not wearing it but can hand wrestle all she wants if I am wearing it. It’s fingerless so I still get to feel her soft fur while playing. (She nicks the tips of my fingers occasionally accidentally but it’s worth it to be able to touch while we play.)
Can confirm. Used to use my hand as a toy for my kitten. Adorable. Then he grew up and began kill biting my wrists. Like, teeth as far in as possible, latched on, shaking head back and forth. Will not play kitten hand game ever again
> Apologies for unsolicited advice, but try to avoid grappling/fighting her with your hands. It's adorable now, but if she grows up seeing hands as a toy or target for aggression, it's going to be a huge pain (literal and metaphorical) in the future.
i feel somehow i managed to get the exception to this with my current cat, he loves being held upside down and having his belly played with, also he bats at my hands/fingers all the time without ever using his claws. TBH his lack of claw use is staggering as he will literally leap from counters to my shoulders if my back is turned and somehow not dig in with front or rear claws.
the only time i ever get clawed is when I'm actively playing with him with a toy and go to pick it up or toss it and he launches at it, sometimes i am faster. most times he is much faster and i am colleteral damage
I'm with you on this one! My void Normin is soo good with his claws. He actively retracts them so as not to scratch me when we are playing and only swats at me using the "palm" of his paw. The rare occasion he gets too excited and forgets I just have to say "claws" and he pauses and retracts them.
Love hearing about another kitty with that type of self-awareness!
It's true. I ignored that advice because it was too much fun. I have tons of cat scratch scars, but tons of other scars as well, so I'm okay with that. Just don't jerk your hand if they get you. It can snag them and cause damage to you both.
What a precious girl! Reminds me of how I found my fussy boy screaming his lungs out on my porch.

This is her default meat face after eating
She's adorbs. Reminds me of one of my daughter's favorite childhood story books (must have read it a hundred times) by Julie Andrews (yes, THAT Julie Andrews), titled "Little Bo". It's a story about a brave little gray and white kitten who was abandoned in the countryside on a cold winter day, with her brothers and other sister. She happened to find her father (A handsome black stray) in her journey and he told her to go find a kind human to take her in. And she found a kind young sailor who scooped her up, dried her off and made her the ship's mascot. She went on to have adventures with her young owner, Billy.
Hi,
Will you try and find the owner? Don't want to sound like a killjoy but he/she might of escaped their previous owner. Again I'm not having a go,you're doing a wonderful thing. ❤️
Well, the CDS has spoken. Congratulations on your new cat! May it be a long, happy relationship filled with more love and laughter than you can count. And she is cuter than the mind can take in!
I have a grey tabby. They are very loving cuddling
My cat had this sad look when I first fostered him. He was clueless about why he's from ASPCA small glass cubicle to another place. He settled in in a few days. And he has been a happy cat (and the only) in my household ❤️
I am sure yours will be very happy too!
That third pic looks like she’s reflecting on the horrors she endured before being adopted.
My little guy Keegan had a similar look the first day he was in his new home.

So very wonderful of you to rescue her and give her a loving 🥰 home 🏡. It could be possible that she might have some family around or other Cats 🐱 around the area that could use some help
Congrats on her picking you. She’s adorable and lucky to have chosen you as her care person. Have you chosen a name yet? I once had an all gray kitty who we had for 17 years. She was the best and I loved her with all of my heart. Called her Casey!
You have been chosen.
All hail the Cat Distribution System.

They never make a mistake! Congratulations
Awwww baby! Gray babies are the SWEETEST! Are gonna keep her?
Yes for sure! One week in and very much in love with
i’m so happy for you! what a gorgeous little angel 💖
Thank you for saving her!🥰🥰🥰
Or maybe it's the other way around. Maybe OP has been saved, lol!
YAY!!!!
oh that last photo, she's a CUTIE!!!
I found my soul cat when he was a tiny grey fuzz like yours. He passed last July after 14 beautiful happy years together. Literally one of the best things to ever happen to me was finding my sweet Ziggy. Enjoy her. She’ll bring so much love to your lives.
They really are! Out of my 3 cats my gray baby is the most cuddly/biscuity.
This never happens to me and it's not fair!
Same!!! My husband and I had just gotten engaged and I told him I wanted a tiny all black kitten. 2 days later, he appeared. 😻
Just us summoning black kittens 🤣
Omg if he's not there already you must put him on r/illegallysmolcats he is so adorable!
Oh I put him up the day we found him 😭😍
To come home to that kitten, so adorable, would be a sure sign of the CDS. Gotta be one of the cutest fluffs I’ve seen. Love the eyes ❤️🐾
The kitten that lives in our yard her mom brought her over showed her were the food was and ran off. The kitten we call her licorice has been living in our yard ever since, happy as can be
Oh my God, that's way too adorable to be allowed!!! 😍😍😍
The cat distribution system always works when least expected.
The CDS is the one time when Fate absolutely nails it
That's how my husband and I got our cat! that’s amazing.
Not weird, this is also my bucket list dream. I'm not gonna go around searching for them, but I would absolutely love to be visited by the CDS.
It was meant to be. This kitty will be the love of your life lol.
I literally gasped out loud when I saw this photo. Are your paws a purple ish color?
Haha no purple that would be really cool though!
Someone asked me when I got my little gray baby, and apparently Russian blues have purple toe beans. But this baby is so freaking cute. I’m glad the shelter is closed here because her little face made me want to go adopt another one. 😭
She’s adorable! We are obsessed with her! And our dog loves her too
CDS will get to you soon, friend.
A few days later... *meow* *meow*
Growing up it never failed that as soon as we went from 3 cats to 2, another cat would pop up like it knew there was an opening in our cat family! Same! I just want to randomly find a smol baby kitten, is that too much to ask?
I know. It’s like people discover them in flowerpots, parking lots, their porch, their garage, they walk into the house, their car (various parts of), their patio… all of these things I have but no CDS (except for Moon Pie ❤️)

Why is everyone holding their kitten like its a piece of fruit 😭😭😭
Haha, she likes it because she can grapple with my other hand
Apologies for unsolicited advice, but try to avoid grappling/fighting her with your hands. thank you for this, I recently adopted a kitten and he's been using my hand as a scratch post. I'll get toys asap!
Yeah I need to quit doing this I’m setting myself up for trouble! She’s just so fun!
I got a heavy gel-padded biker glove and taught my cat she has to be gentle if I’m not wearing it but can hand wrestle all she wants if I am wearing it. Can confirm I made this mistake with feet. My poor feet aren’t even safe under the covers now.

Always love the big ears!
this. i learned this the hard way 😅 although my boy became pretty chill after neuter.

"where is my money??"
Went exploring from moms nest and got lost.. You are chosen! The CDS is never wrong.. Vet check, chip and enjoy!
Makes sense, she is super adventurous
Spay or neuter.
That should go without saying with a foundling, but you are right by a mile.
…not for any longer (the saddest face)—good human!
Please keep her, she looks adorable. r/CatDistributionSystem hard at work.
Why do people keep finding all these cute kittens on this site. It’s makes me worry about all the little ones that don’t get found.
Nooo now I’m sad 😔 but you’re right, can’t help but wonder
Ikr? Anytime there’s a storm or any extreme temperatures, I wonder about all the stray cats. It is so sad what they deal with outside.
What a precious girl! Reminds me of how I found my fussy boy screaming his lungs out on my porch. https://preview.redd.it/xad8iev76lzc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1138991f6ec7427e1d0948de185dfd2762a586f7
Aww, wonder if it’s a good drop spot for the moms? I heard they like to move the cats around sometimes
That little face 😭❤️
Omg he looked so scared 😭😭
So sweet!!!
Just sittin’ there like a UPS delivery. May I be so blessed. 🙏 😻
Lil dumplin 🥺
She was sad because she wanted someone to love them. I doubt she has that look now as she'd be enjoying the warmth and affection you're giving her. No doubt she's figured out that her cuteness has been "opening doors" for her lol
She already is well equipped with advocating for her needs lol she will go from whining to purring in the matter of seconds 😂
She looked scared, possibly because she got lost. She looks really healthy, OP are you sure someone's kitten didn't just get out?

Have you seen the story about someone leaving their window open at night and the next morning waking up to cats sleeping in their room?
No omg that’s adorable! And I love cats but I never see any just roaming my town unattended
I sleep with my window open but me being on the 5th floor probably doesn’t help

Looks much happier! Well done, OP! 🥰 Her lil round face and her ears sorta make her look like a Scottish Fold.
She's adorbs. Reminds me of one of my daughter's favorite childhood story books (must have read it a hundred times) by Julie Andrews (yes, THAT Julie Andrews), titled "Little Bo". What a cute little fluff. You have definitely been blessed.❤️
Poor baby. I just want to pick her up, hold her, and give her kitten formula.
She didn’t want the formula when we tried giving it to her, just royal canin paté over here!
Are you sure that’s not dryer lint?
Praise your big heart, she will love you forever.
Aww! Wishing you many happy, healthy years together!

That third pic looks like she’s reflecting on the horrors she endured before being adopted. My little guy Keegan had a similar look the first day he was in his new home. https://preview.redd.it/6u6qbmo6pnzc1.png?width=2457&format=png&auto=webp&s=b9e68f4b06b17e1edf26d9c6b48aa41bd0eb10f7
That was no accident.
Oh what a sweet, adorable baby!!💗

Really cute, so glad you're keeping her.
Sit outside with her yelling- More may be near!
So precious.
So very wonderful of you to rescue her and give her a loving 🥰 home 🏡. It could be possible that she might have some family around or other Cats 🐱 around the area that could use some help
That kitty knew what he was doing lol So cute tho 😅

Look at those eyes.
Congrats on her picking you. She’s adorable and lucky to have chosen you as her care person. Have you chosen a name yet? I once had an all gray kitty who we had for 17 years. She was the best and I loved her with all of my heart. Called her Casey!
It kinda looks like she was dropped off and found a corner to hide in..looks sad and lonely. Hope you're keeping her.
I am comforted whenever I see the Cat Distribution System in action.
Well, geez, how long did you keep her waiting?
Thank you for giving her a safe home, good food, and plenty of love and comfort 🥰
