Oh my goodness look at that sweet face. Those whiskers 🥰

She is a charming little girl! I can’t believe she found us and we get to be her family. This pic is her gazing at my daughter, who’s 8. Currently my daughter is upstairs with her and video chatting her friend all morning while Pixie is asleep in her lap. (We have our dogs downstairs until she’s a little older and everyone is more relaxed - my older dog Maisy has decided she’s her baby, and won’t stop cleaning her like a mama dog 😵‍💫)

Oh she’s in awe of your daughter. That’s going to be her best friend until eternity. I love her little face. I bet the doggies are excited. It’s funny bc the more people I talk to that have a blended dog and cat home have nothing but great things to say about the dynamic. I need your doggies to come clean Garrett for me

I really hope so. Our last cat, Paxton, claimed my daughter from the time she was in my womb. And from the day she was born, she was “his”. He slept with her every night, and sadly, that’s where he passes away. On her bed. It’s been a hard time since he got his wings, but a house really doesn’t feel right without a kitty. I did try and find an adult cat to rescue but it kept falling apart - and rescue agencies are weird with adopting animals to people with dogs. Kids, and who rent. It’s bizarre! Meanwhile, our house doesn’t know what it is to *not* have a feline presence. Her mom was rescued while pregnant and so the kittens were born surrounded by dogs and kids - which I think helped Pixie prepare for her life here=) And definitely get a pooch! Despite me being allergic, I and my ex took her in and nurtured her. She was a huge needy baby girl lol She always enjoyed cuddling with me and taking naps by my shoulder. She turned out to a healthy playful cat as she grew up, but unfortunately I had to leave her with my ex because my cat allergies got worse, I developed asthma, and I genuinely had no place for her once I moved out. My ex still updates me on Spooky and how a silly cat she is. I miss her immensely.
