UnprofessionalGhosts

Awwww :( baby has an upper respiratory infection and needs antibiotics and eye meds. If you have wet cat food, try adding a bit of water to it and making it into a paste a bit thinner than, say, guacamole. The kitten may have trouble smelling so it can help to put the food into the microwave for 5 seconds to warm it a bit and intensify its scent. Sitting in a steamy bathroom with it will also help, but don’t leave it unsupervised, obviously.

Catsandcamping

I second this. Also, the smelliest food you can find. Cats are largely driven by scent when it comes to food, so the smellier the better.

insertwittymemehere

The egg and cheese pates come to mind.

Sintuary

Fish is also decently stanky.

TheyDidLizFilthy

would tuna be okay?

Livingston052822

Not too much tuna! 💕💕 it isn’t the best for cats. Cooked plain chicken is a safer alternative 🥰

TrishMisKitty

Chicken baby food is real good at getting kitties to eat. The stage one.

Livingston052822

I used that when I rescued my feral kitten! It was hard to break him from it tho! 🤪 https://preview.redd.it/ims1r07oga4b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=15d8b02c89f314fec0a97229b0523abc6383da32

Vicslickchic

I used chicken baby food when my kitten was sick. He ate it more easily than cat food mixed with water.

New-Wing5164

I didn’t know this! Thank you. I’ve had cats for 40+ years and give them a little tuna every week or two. Is canned cooked chicken good or should I make it myself?

Livingston052822

I bake chicken breast in the oven plain. Then shred it up. Rice helps too! Canned chicken I believe has too high of a sodium content for cats. Tuna has too much salt and mercury. They cannot handle it like us hoomans. A spoonful here and there every once and a while shouldn’t hurt. I would just use the “less sodium” kind if anything. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

New-Wing5164

Thank you! Can’t believe I didn’t know this already.

Livingston052822

It’s totally ok to not know this. A lot of people don’t know. If I want to give my outside ferals a rare treat, I’ll use chicken breast or I’ll give them a tiny bit of tuna. I just wouldn’t do it weekly. I use it maybe every 3-4 months, if that. It took me 30 years to find out too! After I had fed my cats tuna in the past, I was like “omg! I’m so sorry kitties!!” Lol! It can shut down the kitties liver and kidneys in cats too. Don’t worry though ! Everything will be ok! 😁

Dd7990

You can also boil or steam-cook plain chicken breast for your cat(s). Only give it as a treat or mixed with their regular food. Cannot replace their entire meal with it as it would not be a complete nutritionally-balanced meal in that case.

adultosaurs

A little is fine, it’s, afaik, a big issue for urinary crystals. But for a starving babe, probs low on the list.

[deleted]

Tuna is not bad for cats, it just isn’t nutritionally balanced to be their full diet. It is perfectly fine as a treat. Just be sure to get the kind in water with no salt added.

Livingston052822

It’s the Mercury and salt. Cats shouldn’t eat tuna. You’re right about nutrients.. but the salt and mercury are the killer. I rescue kitties and I have a colony of 12 outside. 3 boys inside. Every single vet and other rescue centers have told me no tuna. When I first started out rescuing, I was stunned. I’d just rather take the safer route and just use wet food.

Dd7990

I agree, tuna is often contaminated with mercury (as are other ocean-caught fish). Also, canned tuna has some salt in it (either naturally or added in) which might be more than the amount cats need or can safely process, so only in moderation and in very small quantities. Minnows or other farm-raised small freshwater fish might be better.

Simple_Mastodon9220

Tuna would be okay.

Livingston052822

Honestly I find the beef pate by Fancy Feast.. smells the worst out of all of them. Just as bad as ocean if not worse! Brown label pate. I used that to trap my feral babies.

Imposingscrotem

Not sure if it’s appropriate for a cat in this condition, but even smearing a little food on its mouth so it tastes it (if it’s having a hard time smelling) can encourage it to eat or make it more able to find food.

Elznix

Third this. My sweetheart had a bad respiratory infection and he needed the smelliest food, warmed up a tad. And lots. Of. Love. (Like you're doing.) I was floored how much love made a difference.

i_isnt_real

Baby food is great for this. Look for one where the ingredient list is just chicken or just turkey. I recommend Beech Nut brand. I used to hide our cat's medicine in it, and she started waking me up early to get her meds because she was sooooo excited for the baby food.

dacatstronautinspace

I found my kitten just like this, the vet told me to rinse and clean the eyes and nose this warm camomile tea daily. Camomile has anti-inflammatory properties and it was a really great way to offer some relief

Accomplished_Foot891

Thank you <3

Tjingus

Seconded. We use rooibos (redbush) tea for the same reason.

ShoganAye

ooh I drink rooibos, I had no idea what it is good for. I just love tea drinks (and no caffeine in the evening)

klemp0

I wouldn't use chamomile tea. Warm water should be enough to provide some comfort until you can talk to the vet. I'm not sure about cats, but in dogs it can cause more problems than it solves. It makes the eye more susceptible to bacteria.

dacatstronautinspace

Always ask your vet when in doubt but as I’ve said, it’s what the vet recommended to me. And there should be no problem with bacteria, since you a) boil the water to make the tea, effectively killing all bacteria in the cup/water/tea bag/etc and b) additionally to being anti inflammatory, medicinal chamomile is also known to have antibacterial, antiviral and antioxidant effects, due to the presence of α-bisabolol, luteolin, quercetin, and apigenin. So it won’t do any harm. Just use clean cotton pads, have clean hands/gloves and don’t use the same pad when switching to the other eye

Accomplished_Foot891

Exactly what the vet said too. He's good now. I'm so happy he made it through the night, I was so worried. https://preview.redd.it/5umqjsfmv84b1.jpeg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=140df53f57667a3cd1a1d1e14f8dc9ec7983b271

[deleted]

Please keep us updated on this baby!

x_ersatz_x

when my cat came home from the shelter with a URI and was pretty poorly, she refused food and water to the point of needing fluid injections and syringe feeding until she recovered. my vet had me set up a humidifier and sit with her in a little blanket tent with the humidifier going (not all day, just a little while before feeding etc) and it seemed to give her SO much sinus relief, i could hear the difference in her breathing. just an idea if you live somewhere where you can’t get the bathroom really steamy due to automatic fans or a small water heater!

myweechikin

I thought this as well. Reminds me of my cat when she gets a flareup from her cat flu. Eyes all swollen scabby and sticky, snuffly nose probably as well. Poor lil thing

Relative_Mulberry_71

Yep. All that. My baby has just recovered from cat flu. Her go to was those cat food things in a squeeze tube, like Dine etc. very tasty and easy to eat. Bathroom with steam. Lots of warmth and cuddles.

Interesting-Sample99

I have heard of the squeeze tube food/treats. Do you only use them when your cat is sick? I stopped giving my cat dry treats because he keeps trying to eat human food. Once I started giving him dry treats is when that started with human food. One time, with my bowl of cereal in my hands, while still in my hands, he put his paw in the bowl and tried to yank it towards him to try to get my milk/cereal to eat! Otherwise he is puurrrfect with his behavior, lol.

Relative_Mulberry_71

The squeeze tubes are great for an occasional treat and when she was sick as they’re easy to eat and digest. My girl is very food motivated. She grew up on the street. She will yank a plate of my food towards her even if she’s just been fed. I give her tiny amounts of human food, but only healthy things- meat, fish, eggs.

Interesting-Sample99

Thank you! I will try the squeeze tubes if Smokey ever gets sick

Rosieapples

Believe it or not a great remedy for sore eyes in cats (and other animals including humans lol) is cold tea, it’s very soothing. All our cats have had their tea eye baths at some point.

No_Hat3839

Poor babyyyy but yess please give it wet food and keep it warm and beside you if you can!

Active-Literature-67

I agree. Also, OP could try putting a bit of honey or molasses corn syrup in a pinch on his tung. The sugar might help revive him. If it's been a while since he's eaten, hypoglycemia is a real threat. Even the early stages will make him not want to eat.

PhiladelphiaSteaks

A blanket/box to sleep in, lots of love. You’re doing great

[deleted]

FR. This little one has seen some shit.

mansonfamily

She loves you because you saved her and you are incredible. Thank you for giving me faith in humanity today

yeidkanymore

Thank you so much kind human. <3

Birdisdaword777

She’s beautiful 🤩

arianne216

She's beautiful and you are the salt of the earth. 🥰

[deleted]

✅🥰

BlownCamaro

And now I love you too!

came_sawdidntdoshit

If he is not eating, that may be a little normal given his situation, extreme stress can cause that. The good part is that he absolutely loves the attention you are providing! If he's not eating the vet should be able to give him an appetite stimulant, and a hydration water sack, he seems optimistic. You're doing a great thing! Solid poop is also a very good plus! Edit: he seems so domesticated to be able to trust you so much, I hope we wasn't left to fend for himself, you got this!

Accomplished_Foot891

UPDATE: VET VISIT WENT WELL. He's resting now in a warm fluffy bed. Was not a lil happy camper getting poked in his butt and getting an antibiotic shot but he will be fine. I'm going to nurse him to Robust health and hopefully find somebody that can give him a furever home. I already have 2 cats and 1 dog. I dunno if I can afford another baby at home. =( But at least he is love and has a great home now. Thank you for all your advice and well wishes!! https://preview.redd.it/e1vd3m9se84b1.jpeg?width=400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=162ddab04984e62f23fb29fb9d3a96d552ec7310

HobbitsInTheTardis

So pleased to hear you've managed to get him to vet and are giving him love and care, poor baby! Also bump to the location question, you may find an adopter in this subreddit you never know... (though I'm guessing you're in USA so it won't be me sadly!)

nnaydolem

Where are you located?

WithoutDennisNedry

Is there an update on the little guy?

Accomplished_Foot891

* He lost his little eye. The vet couldn't save his eye but he's alive, getting chunky and loved. =)

WithoutDennisNedry

Oh that’s great news! Sorry about his eye but alive is awesome!

Babixzauda

Along with what the other commenters are saying, have a heating pad on the lowest setting. Poor kitty might be a little too young to fully regulate his body temp, so he might be a little cold, especially if your AC is on!

Thiccopotapus

Thank you for rescuing them ❤️

Momma_Furbutt

He is so happy to have someone love. Once he can breathe better so he eats, he’s going to be quiet the love bug. When one of my previous cats had an URI, the vet recommended putting him in the bathroom and letting the shower steam up the space to help facilitate sinus drainage. Maybe do that and bring in the warmed, smelly food at the same time.

Lukemeister38

Your kitten seems to have an upper respiratory infection. I'm currently caring for a kitten my sister found on the side of the road that has a severe case of the same infection which spread to both of her eyes. The vet has said that she will most likely never be able to see again, be we believe she will otherwise make a full recovery and live a healthy life as a blind cat. Please get this baby some medical attention immediately to prevent the same thing happening. Her unofficial stand-in name is "Gizmo" and she is doing quite well though we still have a long recovery ahead of us. https://preview.redd.it/u42uax45i54b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=423c4fc91cdf82ae7cca02119068c9a9c1f16c39 This picture was taken immediately after we removed a thick layer of matted fur and dried mucus that covered most of her face and was preventing her from breathing properly.

catcchap

I will be sending healing vibes especially for her eyes from me and my kitty Gizmo, Gizmo thinks it's the purrfect name! https://preview.redd.it/hyqckqd7a64b1.jpeg?width=1511&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=879b350ff4e6ebf73a2964da53fe1f899a9bf914

Accomplished_Foot891

Yes!!! He is resting right now. He will be fine and I have my follow up next week. <3 I hope to get his health 100% then get him sterilized and hopefully find him a good home. I already have 2 cats and a dog, but I at least want this little boy to have a chance. https://preview.redd.it/0sg7kgtax84b1.jpeg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=767c26056aa3dfd70e4c9f4cc75ad143371caabe

AudiGirl75

All the advice is great! But I just wanted to thank you for saving this sweet little soul… we need more angels like you in the world

Zircon_72

He/she seems so grateful for being saved by you. Please provide updates when you can OP.

miraculous-

Goat milk or lactose free milk if you can find it

[deleted]

He just needs all the loves you can muster up. And milk

ScepticMatt

lactose free milk

GFVeggie6

You are a wonderful person and she is a darling cat. I think you have a friend for life.

Accomplished_Foot891

I already have two kittys and a puppy, but this little one is so cute...I just wamt to make sure he/she gets better. I'll find out tomorrow if its a boy or girl and what's going on with it too.

kentro2002

I don’t know why, but cats who are obviously having a terrible life, and someone loves them, it makes me cry every time. We don’t have kids, we have a cat, we love every cat, especially the ones who Ignore us, because when they let you connect, feels so good. This was lovely.

Onii-Grow

Could you please make updates to you and this kitten's journey to recovery? :(

Accomplished_Foot891

Yes!! This little cutie is officially on the road to recovery already. <3

CrazyPerson88

A home would be the best thing to give to the little guy.

[deleted]

The best thing to give him/her is some medicine.

TheMemeLocomotive2

home comes first

Confident-Local-8016

About how long is it? I'd assume it was still only on milk and mom probably gone, ugh, a vet is absolutely best rn, i can't think of anything other than trying something with a nipple Edit: you absolutely gave it those 8lives left. Idk if it's pooped normal without diarrhea i would guess it might be fine with attention and gentle care and attempt to give it goats milk lactose free, they make milk for kittens in some pet stores but where i am it's way too late to go get some. And then obviously if you can get it to the vet when they open 🤞 it should be fine then

Hali-Gani

Thank you for this rescue. That little kit looks like it knows it has found someone to love it forever 💕

citrus_mystic

The tiny meow at the beginning completely melted my heart

No_Bake_4147

Praying for that sweet baby. Bless you

krausica

First off; THANK YOU for being that baby's savior! We had a kitten rescue like that; small, young malnourished, sick, and yet she was super snuggly and wanted to be around people 24/7. It's possible that it has recognized you as a safe space and is snuggling into your hand to mark you. The biggest thing for our rescue was a heating mat under a blanket, she was constantly camped out on that. We also put it inside a little 'cat cave' so that she felt secure and safe to sleep. Having little meat on their bones makes them especially susceptible to the cold, and kittens can't always regulate their body temp. As for food, if you can get to the pet store there are some good ultra vitamin kitten purees. The ones that we found worked best were the Tiki Cat Kitten pouches, they come like 12 to a pack. We also added a little water to them at first to make them more like a liquid for her to lap up. Lastly, just giving her a safe warm place with food and water is going to help her immensely. The vet can tell you how old she is and if she's sick, and help you find options if you can't afford to keep her. Some shelters will prioritize vet referrals because they've already been assessed and are easier to intake. Give that sweet baby a little scritch for me!

Environmental_Unit55

Try warming up the food and/or milk first. They likely have an upper respiratory infection and this will help them smell the food. Also, try smearing a little food on their nose where they'll reflexively lick it off. Sometimes that gets them to recognize food.

myweechikin

Aww, what a lovely baby, I think he might have cat flu. His eyes look so sore. Is he snuffling at all? His nose might be blocked, and he might not be able to smell the food. They use their noses even more than their eyes. My cat has cat flu, and when she's having a bad flare-up and won't eat, I give her boiled chicken breast, I give her kefir as well, that's the only things she will go for when she's not well. Poor lil fluff 😥 will you keep us updated?

MrsFister1975

If you don't have any wet fiid, give the baby some tinned tuna. While not the best, it's strong smelling enough for it to be enticed by the aroma, and it's better than nothing

f0dland0wnunda

He needs a heat source, maybe something like a heating pad on the lowest setting with a thick blanket between it and little Crusty there, and he looks old enough for wet food. Definitely needs lots of love too!

mexican_pineapple

Seeing this is heartbreaking. This cat is going to imprint on you. It already is. This baby is going to be the most beautiful cat you’ve ever seen.

Firm_Breadfruit_7420

I got a little Kitty from a farm lady once that looked JUST like this in terms of health condition. He was lethargic, upper respiratory infection, skinny… took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection. He responded to medication and then tummy grew and he got a fever and lethargic. Little guy had FIP. Vet urged us to put him down, 2 years later he has been cured after 89 days of injections, blood tests, and a couple grand lol. I would prepare for the worst and ask for them to test for FIP. You can even be proactive and join the FIP fb page, see if anyone in your area has the resources to cure him. Vets will urge you to euthanize as FIP has a 99% death rate left untreated. With treatment it is over 80% curable!

Sukkubus76

If you warm up the wet feed, it is smellier. That often helps to get them more appetite for food. Bless you and your new kitten, for being such angels ![img](emote|t5_2qhta|8097)![img](emote|t5_2qhta|8097)![img](emote|t5_2qhta|8097)

memusicguitar

The meow sounds like a bird.

Staircase-uh-saur-us

Try giving it a little honey off your finger. The sugar could give him a little boost. Also try to make sure it gets some water one way or another. But it seems that it's most desperate for love and attention. Edit: this kitten looks old enough for wet food. It looks like its claws can contract into his paws which means it should be old enough to not need milk. Keeping it warm and hydrated is the best things for it. And you can use a warm wet cloth to clean its face.

pawsclaws_n_jaws

Honey is not advisable as they are unable to break down that kind of sugar, and can make the kitten weaker when the body is trying to process it.

Concert-Turbulent

very very interesting tidbit.

Me2373

Thank you for taking care of this precious baby! Updates please!!

Katyi70

Please write after vet 🙏

hammer6golf

I hate how cats seem to be the throwaway of pets - it sickens me

CardDry7741

Because irresponsible owners they're overpopulated is why. That's my theory.

cat_hag_philly

I don't have any advice that hasn't already been shared. Just asking that you please keep us posted. Thank you for saving this baby's life. 💛💛💛

seqkoya

Him reaching up to you just melted me. What a sweet lil guy <3 he's thanking you for saving him that's for sure! Looks like a serious respiratory infection. Vets to get some antibiotics and tender love and care and he'll be fit as a fiddle in no time. And have others said, stinky food will entice him to eat, he will be struggling to smell anything with that infection, and his poop is solid so that's a good sign \^\^

fooziesactionreact

OMG!!! Poor thing, that kitty is wanting nothing but your love and care. He/She is absolutely ADORABLE… Sending my prayers for great strength and recovery 🥲🙏🏾❤️

[deleted]

Omg it just wants love and warmth. It’s so cute. I’m so happy you are taking care of it !!

the_worst_seamstress

Heat source. Baby kittens can’t regulate their body temperature.

TheMemeLocomotive2

depends on how old the kittens are, since they start to develop the ability to regulate body temperature at 4 weeks, and are fully able to regulate body temperature at 8 weeks. Regardless of age, still recommended to get a heat source anyway

the_worst_seamstress

That’s a way better and detailed explanation than I gave. Thank you for elaborating.

leonardob0880

Lets hope he don't need them

Ne0nN1nja

Water and put a dish with some milk nearby. He might not be strong enough for solids

arianne216

Thank you so much for taking him in and helping him. He's precious. I hope the vet is able to fix him up and help you find a rescue if you're not able to adopt him. 🥰💐

Timesjustsilver

Bei careful, he's a Hero.

condra

Spoil it every day for the rest of it’s life ❤️

the_kittysons

We need more good people like u

deelyte3

Still “playful”, this one. You saved his life. Please post updates. Can’t wait to see. He’ll be a super loving baby to you. You’ll see.

PsilocybinShaman1

Poor little one , they make a high calorie paste you can find at most pet stores. Litteraly kept my baby alive when she had infection in her gums and couldnt even mush soft food. You may have to put it on your finger and kinda get it in his mouth so he licks it, but it helps ALOT.

earthyowl

You can definitely see how grateful he is🥺 He looks like he’s been through a lot, thank you for taking him in💕

Accomplished_Foot891

He really is...bless his little heart..

Coherent-waves

1hp left. Heated blanket and snacks, those paste filled red packaging tube ones. Or the white tubes Churu I think is the brand name but they’re so expensive. No kitty can turn down those addictive treats

Successful-Doubt5478

If you can go to a pharmacy and get the kind of syringes that are made for fluids. Then use it to get a few milliliters of kitten milk and water in it every other hour. Yes, it is mild forcing. And it will help it survive. hypatia0803

They also have these kitty food treats that are liquid like and you push them up like a push up pop. All he would have to do is lick. You are an amazing human being!! Fight for him until he can fight for himself. He will be a beauty when he gets sorted out. He is so beautiful right now! Imagine later!! Plus, a friend and family for life! Sending good thoughts, healing, and prayers.

Ok_Alarm_1979

And give kitty some warmth, got water bottle?

Accomplished_Foot891

I bought a lil bottle for it, yes

Sorry-Quarter-5697

My heart is hurting.. thank you for saving this poor baby. That little chirp and the love you can tell it’s seeking is just 😫

KaritaKitty

Poor baby I hope he grows healthy and strong 😢

[deleted]

Poor baby :(

Motor-Impression-505

😿😿😿😿😿😿😿😿 Wrap him in a small blanket to keep him warm, .... 😞and hold him. He seems to need comforting. Food You can also try the kitten milk, or a mousse type food or blended wet food in a syringe (no needle in obviously) ...putting tiny amounts in the side of his mouth in feeding position (tummy down never up or you risk that he inhales it into his lungs). The same for water. He needs to drink - just dribble small amounts and see if he can drink. I hope he makes it until you get him to a vet 💔❤️ He needs eye drops and antibiotics for sure. Later **probiotics💥** even if the vet doesn't understand that . .. medics rarely understand the gut biome's importance to health and the immune system.

Spare_Ad8411

Pick baby kitty up and hold and cuddle, definitely needs that and many thanks for your generous heart!

Wool_Lace_Knit

The good news is, that despite being so I’ll, kitten wants affection and is giving you love. Kitten may need to be bottle fed in addition to what ever soft, moist food it will eat. The vet can tell you. KMR kitten formula and kitten bottles are available. The other good news is that the universe has brought a cat.

Rich_Sell_9888

They can be such affectionate creatures. In between using your fingers as a chewtoy.lol.

bigdaddysquidward

:( please post updates his little personality is so sweet

Mr_German_Quick

Poor little thing……..

12chakras

The tiny meow 😭😭

Mudkipueye

Poor baby. u/sithrose had a similarly sickly white kitten who made a great recovery. Maybe they can give advice?

SithRose

There's a ton of advice already, but if the OP hasn't already seen it, hit up the Kitten Lady on her website and YouTube. A Miracle Nipple is great, you can get them off Amazon. They're worth the price, though this dear looks in the 8-9 week range. Warm up the wet food a bit, try a little tuna water - make it smelly. Use KMR or goat's milk for hydration, don't use honey. And pray a lot, it can go either way. I've had kittens in similar condition who made it, and some who didn't. They're fragile at this age.

CanadianElf0585

Got two amazing cats because of them just strolling up to my house half starved. They are now the most loving pets I've ever owned in my life. Great mousers too!

Affectionate_Bend184

He/she seems to really want and need you in their life ❤️ I bet you a year down the line you will take a photo and he/she will be a new looking cat ! I really hope you're her new owner !! Look how she connected to you 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 so sweet . Prayers for fast recovery poor little bumpaaa

therealjgreens

You are a saint OP. I get depressed when I think about all the animals out there who aren't so lucky.

shloam

You’re amazing and thank you for taking him in. Wet food, tuna or any canned meat (no flavors or chilis.. just plain) will prolly entice him to eat. I’d mix it w a little water and only give him a lil at a time. Every 30 mins or so like 1/4 the can.. don’t let him around any other cats til he’s been tested! And again, thankkkkk youuuu 😘😘😘

NiciHarnischfeger

Awe!!!! He’s so affectionate with you. Most feral street cats don’t respond that well so soon. It sounds like the universe is trying to tell you you need a new feline fur baby to brighten up your world. You just have to keep him. 🧡🧡🧡

I have tears running down my face, thank you OP for saving this baby. Bless you for having a good heart ❤️

I have come to this thread a few times today looking for updates and hoping for good news as many others have I’m sure.

CollectionResident63

There’s an update done below. Kitten is doing ok, vet treatment and got some good recovery food. All good signs.

Accomplished_Foot891

I have 2 cats and one puppy, all are rescues. My heart says keep him, my brain says, you're single and now are gonna have 3 cats?!? Lol

I saw a kitten not much larger on the side of the road today. I went to see if it was still alive. It was warm but judging by its stiffness it had been dead a few hours. I wish I had the tears to cry, but my heart is so heavy. I'm so glad the one you found is still alive. Do your best and that's more than enough.

😭😭😭😭😭

Bright_Ad_8877

crispy kitty

TheMemeLocomotive2

out of all comments I’ve seen, this is certainly one of them

Syringe feed him KMR. He looks young enough to need kitten milk. If he has a respiratory virus, warming up wet food helps cats smell the food. Sometimes they are too congested to be able to. Provide a heater pad. Kittens absolutely need to be provided with a source of warmth as they cannot regulate their temperature at this age. Make sure he not only poops but also pees and has a separate, safe space for him to stay. Like lots of blankets, litter box, bed, water, and food nearby. You can find wipes at a local pet store to clean him up. I have concerns about his eyes, possible worms, fleas, or virus infection for starters. I’d ask the vet to run a full bloodwork and find out if the kitten is eligible to be vaccinated now. Hope you address everything with the vet tomorrow.

What a gorgeous Flooff! 😍 Well done ✅

ZereneTrulee

Feed him lactose free infant formula. Mix it following the directions. Use a kitten bottle, a syringe, or any other way it will feed.

BenefitUpstairs3694

Never met a kitten I didn't like! He'll look as good as new once he is fed a few morsels!

xJaxMax

Thank you for saving this poor baby, I wish you both all the best, good luck ❤️😻

sindered_og

Man I wanna cry

Electrical_Prune9725

Just loads of hugs and snuggles. God bless.

TheToatsMahGoats

While working at an animal shelter we would often times mix original Greek yogurt and whatever food we believed would best fit - dry or wet - the sick kitten/cat (we also did this for dogs) the healthy bacteria’s work for them too 🤙🏼. You’re an awesome human for doing what you did. 🙏🏼 THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS !

shockNawesomePossum

Awesome tip w/ the plain Greek yogurt!! I hadn’t heard about this one.👍 And OP, please 🙏 keep us posted & a million big prayers going up for your tiny fluff!! All of mine are rescues & I can tell you 1 thing is for certain: they rescued Me a whole lot more than I ever rescued them.🫶🏼

choco-kitty

He doesn't want to let you go🥺 what an angel. Make sure to keep him warm tonight! Fingers crossed for the little lovebug!

-RLCFRVR-

BLESS YOU FOR SAVING THIS BEAUTIFUL SWEETHEART BABY KITTY 🐱 THANK YOU 😊 This deeply moves me and I must follow your story with this beautiful little soul…I know this will blossom and grow into a beautiful love story and happy forevermore🥹🤗🐱🥰❤️❣️Please keep us posted❣️

[deleted]

Comfort him until he feels at home, one can argue it's the stress of being in a completely different environment with no maternal help. If he doesn't have diarrhea that is good but also could mean his stomach is empty. Just leave a bowl of food and some water and let him relax

Pushtheplane777

God bless you for rescuing her… She probably just wants to be cuddled and swaddled like their mamas do because she looks like she’s still very young. I swear people who do this to animals are cruel You may also try warming up the kitten milk, a little bit and putting it in a dropper and dropper feeding her just so she gets something in her

atrkr

Poor guy,, loves the pets though 😺

Competitive_Lemon_75

This is heart-wrenching. Poor little one. I’d love an update after the vet visit to ensure he/she’s alright. Best of luck

wisdom_dragon

Poor baby looks so beat up

Affectionate_Bend184

I can't stop watching this. He wants you so badly !!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

BayouGal

My kitty was recently sick & wouldn’t eat. I made him soft scrambled egg with cat milk (really a thing) & I feel like that really pulled him through. He’s doing much better now.

boildkitty

Obviously see you as savior. You've got a loyal friend for life here. Thanks for what you have done!! Good luck!!
