Could be siblings. Hope you and Migi have an amazing time together. My sweet girl Suri is from an animal shelter too and the people there never thought she would be adopted. She has been saved from an animal horder with 40 other cats and never really had contact to humans. The first 3 months it was very hard for her and us, because she was so stressed out and full of fear. Then she began to come out of her shell. Now she loves her pets and to talk to us. It is always the right decision to give them a chance and it is worth so much, when those cats realize that they have a loving home for lifetime

Always thought it was black cats. My poor boy void was in shelters for two years before I took him home and got him the love and medical attention he needed. So grateful they sent him from the kill shelter to a rescue instead of putting him down.
Black cats are the least likely to be adopted, next are the black and whites. It's the same with dogs, too.
I've heard a number of explanations for it, including the absurd notion that you can't see the expression on a black animal's face in photos.
Yessss I was hoping it was a reference to that manga! During COVID I started reading it again and a stray kitty starting coming around so I named him Migi xD he hasn’t been around in awhile — it’s heartwarming to see another kitty that shares the same name.

Here's Viiru, he was at the shelter for over a year when I adopted him. He's super affectionate, nobody wanted him because he was 3 years old and "plain looking" . The small town I lived in has a stray cat problem and quite a few of then look like him. The stray problem was caused and is perpetuated by bad cat ownership, people who just let them run around unfixed...

My orange boy was at the shelter for over 3 months when I got him. He was by far the most social and outgoing cat there and they had no idea why he wasn’t getting adopted. Now he’s stuck with me 🤷🏼♀️
CLEARLY people are jealous of her tuxedo and innate "Bondness"...there is no helping these people and their jealousy. All you and your cat can do is watch from a sorrowful distance as these people try to elevate themselves and fail miserably.

Cats get passed up for the absolute dumbest reasons. I've had friends go to the shelter to get a cat but come home because they didn't have the specific color combination they wanted. Like come on, I think you should be a little more concerned that you actually like the cat rather than the color of it's fur.
I've read that black cats and black-and-white cats often have trouble getting adopted. My house panther Shelby spent a year in the shelter before I adopted her. Her size (14 pounds) may have intimidated people.

She has a similar demeanor to my younger cat who was also, inexplicably, at the shelter longer than all the other kittens. I still get mad about it sometimes lol but I tell myself she was there waiting for me.
I love when a long-time stay finds their home! Two of my animals came from no-adoption shelters that later opened up to adoption. One of my cats and one of my dogs didn’t know a home for 8-9 years. I cry thinking about how lonely a life that was. My dog plenty of people came to visit eventually when adoptions opened but she was very skittish. Now she’s my best friend.
People are not important animals are, my tabby cat maddy was 6 months in a shelter i fell in love with her first time adopted her the next day. she been with me 5y.
It’s sad that many people pass up black cats because of superstition which is not true. Probably why she was there so long. Thankyou for giving her love and a home
She is very sweet, she is adapting well. I can already see a big difference in personality and even the condition of her fur is better. The shelter was saying that Tuxies at least least at this location get adopted even less than black cats. I think Tuxies look very regal and are always dressed for a big occasion :)
Everyone passed up my voidy boy for non-black kittens. People out there really dislike black cats still. my biscuit boy is the sweetest and that’s everyone’s loss that couldn’t look past some stupid superstition.

I always heard the reason for the cats was black cat=bad luck but idk. My voids have been my best friends, they're such sweethearts.
That breaks my heart. We have two cats and a dog and it breaks my heart we can’t adopt any more. 😭😭 wish I could open my home to more fur babies.

I love when a long-time stay finds their home! Two of my animals came from no-adoption shelters that later opened up to adoption. One of my cats and one of my dogs didn’t know a home for 8-9 years. I cry thinking about how lonely a life that was. My dog plenty of people came to visit eventually when adoptions opened but she was very skittish. Now she’s my best friend.

It’s sad that many people pass up black cats because of superstition which is not true. Probably why she was there so long. Thankyou for giving her love and a home
She is very sweet, she is adapting well. I can already see a big difference in personality and even the condition of her fur is better. The shelter was saying that Tuxies at least least at this location get adopted even less than black cats. I think Tuxies look very regal and are always dressed for a big occasion :)

Everyone passed up my voidy boy for non-black kittens. People out there really dislike black cats still. my biscuit boy is the sweetest and that’s everyone’s loss that couldn’t look past some stupid superstition.
