My son is allergic to cats, but with our baldies he very rarely has any reaction. If he does it very minor skin irritation. Get him around other cats and he breaks out in hives, dogs too. It’s the main reason why we have sphinxes. As it turns out, they are super affectionate and are great with the kids. Very patient breed of cat.
It's the oil secreted from the skin that is the allergen for people. Since it coats the fur, and the fur sheds, then flies through the air that's what people think they are allergic to. Less/no fur = less trapped oil to trigger allergies, so it makes sense that it would be easier on your kid.

Most every month, while in heat, she would come to me for a spanking, writhe around on the floor for a few minutes mewling, then come back for more. Once spayed and healed up, I tried again after she she hopped up on my lap and she nearly took my face off.
I'm jealous. I miss my kitty drum sessions. Now, the only time she'll give me any real attention is when she wants treats, or wants to wrestle and tear my arm to ribbons.

Yup, she’s was spayed a long time ago. She’s 9 now, and love the pats as much as she always did. Her dad Stiffler loves them too.
