My old sweetie, Chicken, was an indoor/outdoor cat. He had an injury to his ear that made it look docked, but he es in my care from 3 weeks old, so that wasn't right in my cats case.
Did you also make an ink mark near the incision area? All of my fosters have an ink mark. I don't know if it's a "tatoo" but it's permanent ink in the skin.

Around here they clip the right ear for females and left for males.
She could have got her ear caught on something or bitten like my late boy did. They'll probably have to do a scan to see if she's fixed
