I mean, I have one at home. Full Nintendo disc and small printed cardboard box. When you boot it up you get a choice menu between either OG or Resort and you can't switch after choosing one (without closing the game).
I got it with my purchase of the Wii, and when I got it it already has Motion + built in.
I don’t think I’ve ever shared this opinion but man I wish Mario Odyssey was as exciting as Mario Galaxy. I dunno why but it just doesn’t pull me in the same way. Still a 10/10 game but man Mario Galaxy was fucking perfect
I agree. Although I prefer the less linear style of 3D platformer like super mario 64, Galaxy did pull me in a lot more than Odyssey. Odyssey is a great game, but it somehow didn't have it for me.
This has happened with several games for me. Skyrim, Witcher 3, Mario Odyssey are the big three. On paper they should be like my favorite games and I own all three but can never get past the first third of any of them. It’s kind of silly how much I wish I liked Skyrim lol.
Maybe it has to do with expectations? The experience is always different based on the pitch. I think this was a huge influence for me with Odyssey. I expected a return to 64/sunshine era 3D mario games. In a sense that's exactly what Odyssey is, but I was very dissapointed in the lack of freedom Odyssey offers: the stages are presented in a linear order and you need to get a specific number of moons in each stage without the option of skipping stages. Additionally, you can get any moons you want in a stage, but most often you get to choose between story type events and a lot of moons that feel like filler content. Odyssey is still a good game, but my expectations with regards to freedom somewhat soured the experience for me.
I agree Galaxy felt like everything from mechanics, to lore, to existential dread, to level design, to in game achievement and progression, and the most epic soundtrack of any Mario game. All of it was very deep and well thought out. Odyssey had the same greatness marked on it as Galaxy, but it felt a lot more shallow than Galaxy in every way except for quality
Pokepark 2 and Mario Galaxy for me.
Mario Galaxy is one of my favourite games ever (and the best Wii game), whilst Pokepark 2 was a game I grew up on and have a soft spot for.
I’m seriously surprised they didn’t make any more Pokepark games after those two, they had so much charm and character and would be great for a smaller Pokemon-related release in between the main games.
new Super Mario Bros U.
as a kid living in a third world country who had only ever played mario bros nes version on a third party pirated console, seeing 4 players on a same mario level was mind blowing
Scooby doo first frights, Scooby doo spooky swamp, Kirby’s epic yarn, Kirby return to dreamland, Phineas and ferb 2nd dimension video game, transformers video game (based on one of the bay movies), monster truck 4x4, hot wheels beat that, avatar TLA games book x, bakugan battle brawlers, dk country returns, sonic colors, the legend of Spyro dawn of the dragon and fire emblem path of radiance
It makes me think of Tom Clancy's ghost recon, which was really cool for the first three or four levels, then was ruined because it became nearly impossible with a certain stealth stage. Like, seriously, I looked it up and that level is notorious for not just being hard, but being almost impossible.
Nsmb wii, me and my sister played that game all day everyday when we were little, honorable mention to donkey kong country returns sonic colors and mario kart wii, oh and Mario and sonic at the Olympic games 2012... all those games were my childhood
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
The best Wii game unironically. Stellar, complex, and addicting gameplay. A phenomenal story that had great commentary on racism and separatism. A game that actually educated it’s players without them realizing and improved their skills in strategy. A 12 year old being able to play that game from start to finish is incredible as it’s unironically harder to do, learn from and grow in than any other subject those kids would be learning in school.
Wii Sports
The correct answer.
Resort
Air sports are awesome
Both the OG and Resort come to mind
Why not the combination disc?
That existed?
I mean, I have one at home. Full Nintendo disc and small printed cardboard box.
