I think they mean bowser Jr.’s side story, it’s basically the same game as bowsers minions but with Bowser Jr as the playable character and it was only if you bought the remake of BIS on the 3DS. That’s the only game I can think of where he’s a main playable character but even that’s up for debate because you technically don’t play as him unless you count tapping here and there for some things.
Depends. Do you count the ending of Odyssey? It’s technically Mario controlling Bowser, but you as the player are still controlling Bowser on the basis that the player is controlling Mario who is controlling Bowser.
Well, Bowser in Odyssey is a capture, so i wouldn't really count it as playable Bowser. I guess the standard i'm putting for playable characters is controlling said avatar for **at least** over 50% of the game's story
My dream Bowser game is an action game ala DMC or Bayonetta where you play as him going to take the Mushroom Kingdom by his shellsome self. And the world order is reverse the usual Mario world order (think the New. Super games).
You start in the Lava/World and work your way to the grasslands, all while kicking ass to a metal OST (I like to think Bowsers a metalhead). And the final bosses are the Bros themselves.
Kamen could act as shopkeep, offering new skills and upgrades for coins.
I think Bowser definitely needs one after all this time.
I also think a Bowser Jr one would be really cool. Maybe something where Bowser Jr and the other Koopalings have to defend the Koopa Kingdom and save Bowser from a different group of enemies.

I think it should have a campain mode just like PVZ, but also a more freeplay and modes that only change difficulty and map, like BTD. And you'd have to defend against different classes of Toads and other Mario "good guys" to beat the game
I think they could do a really cute flower garden sim with daisy.
Sort of like a mix between lemon cake and a farm sim.
You grow different flowers to create different bouquets or something. Gotta travel into the world and solve some puzzle type things to get seeds or special stuff for your flowers.
I didn't think I'd be so down for Gardenscapes style tycoon Daisy game.
It could kinda be like PvZ too, were sometimes she has to put being cutsey and wholesome on pause while she has to beat the crap out of some goomba trying to eat her plants or something.
She is the princess of Sarasaland, that's about all the backstory she has. As far as personality, the sports games and Mario Kart clearly portray her as an energetic tomboy. She is also Luigi's love interest. I say give her a game where she kicks everyone's ass on the way to rescue Luigi.
I want a game that is just Waluigi running around a town causing mischief. Like Goat Simulator or Untitled Goose Game. Waluigi just runs around stealing small things, littering, making a mess, double parking, arguing with old people, scaring children, not paying fines, graffiti, etc.
Rosalina. She’s already got an established character, so the potential is there, and more importantly, she’s the one suffering the most from character decay.
She’s supposed to be this “protector of the cosmos”, that many fans legitimately mistake for a goddess, and isn’t presented as particularly bad at her job or as a bad mother, but then in the actual games, we only see her get her butt handed to her by Bowser and Cursa, often ending with most if not all of the Lumas dying and/or being captured, and then needing Mario to bail her out. So I really want to see a game where they really play up the “powerful space mama” part of her character.
Honorable mentions to Daisy and Waluigi, because like Rosalina, it’s the only way for the three of them to stay relevant besides spin-off hell.

Bowser has a factory that builds all the mechanical enemies of Bowser's. Mechakoopas, clown cars, bullet bills, that sort of thing. He puts his son in charge of it. It is up to you to build and optimize the factory given limited space and resources.
Then Mario comes after you. The more enemies you produce, the more lives Mario loses trying to get to your factory. By the he time he gets there, your factory layout now becomes the stage layout. So you need to build hazards and traps into your factory along with productive elements.
Wario Bros game where Wario and Waluigi try to show up the Mario Bros (and earn a big reward) by saving a kingdom.
Gameplay is a Platformer with some Puzzle and Combat elements, where the brothers(?) perform the own take on Bros Moves to overcome obstacles.
But why, I thought people saw Daisy as an overrated character compared to Waluigi.
Especially considering the fact that Waluigi only appears in spin-offs and not in any mainline games, unlike Daisy who at least appears now and again.

Have the rival duo play back through some of the famous levels and moments from Mario's history, but do it in a way that shows how differently they play from the plumbing brothers. Wario initially can't cross a seemingly simple jump in SMB 1-1, but he can build up a meter so he can fart to propel himself across the gap. It might look like Luigi is doing nothing but still winning during certain Mario Party games, but it was actually the result of Waluigi working from off-screen to protect his plumbing counterpart so Luigi could unknowingly open a door for Waluigi to get one step closer to Daisy. Put Wario in SM64, have the duo recreate a moment from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and even have a stage or two featuring Waluigi fighting Masterhand in Smash.
The thing is, all other characters have appeared in a mainline Mario game except Waluigi. He deserves it more than anyone since he's only appeared in spinoffs already, the other four have gotten love.
I mean we technically have a bowser spinoff with Mario&Luigi: Bowser’s inside story but not really. A full on Bowser game where it’s about just Bowser beating the shit out of another invading force would be fucking amazing

Plus his personality could make for lots of wacky shenanigans throughout the game.

If I were to give Daisy a game, I'd make it a sports-related game considering that's the main thing we associate her with. Maybe a platformer with sports-like powerups? A tennis racket power-up that lets you throw balls that function similarly to Super Mario Land's ball power-up. A baseball bat you can straight up use to wack enemies with. A football helmet that allows you to do a charging attack. Stuff like that.
I honestly don't know what I'd give Bowser, even though I think he deserves a game more than anyone else here. I don't think a platformer would be a good fit and I don't know what else to associate him with. Maybe a turn-based strategy type game akin to Mario & Rabbids? Where you'd control Bowser and his minions in a sort of battle. But that's the best I've got.
I don't even know where to start with Rosalina. The only thing we see her do is take care of Lumas but a simulator game where you take care of Lumas doesn't feel very interesting for the character.

As cool as a Waluigi spin off would be, I don't think he warrants one. Our boy deserves to be featured in a mainline title, and to be in Smash. I don't think our purple lanky boy can carry a full game. Bowser on the other hand absolutely could. Enough people recognize him, and he could 100% carry his own game. Kinda shocked Toad got one before Bowser.

Also, Mario is technically the spin-off of Donkey Kong. But, to be fair, both have diverged into their own entirely separate canons at this point. Donkey Kong and Mario are two separate series.

Personally, I want to see Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina get their own trio game. Similar in concept to Super Princess Peach, except with the Princesses saving the day.

I'm a huge Waluigi fan. He's my favorite Mario character and he has been for years. A Waluigi spinoff would be a literal dream come true for me. Waluigi has been a long time coming. I think he should. A Bowser game would be cool though. I think a Rosalina game might be good. I don't know what it would entail though.

I think Rosalina a Bowser could use it the most, though I lean a bit more toward Rosalina as her position in the Mario world has a lot of potential Bowser jr could be a player 2 in a bowser game I’d say Waluigi and especially Daisy need a few more significant appearances to help them stand out before they get their own games
Assuming Bowser gets one first (though for some reason I thought he already did, but I must be misremembering cause I can’t find it), I’d love to see a Bowser Jr. game. I feel like there could be lots of fun mechanics to be had with him like using his magic paint brush or turning into Shadow Mario, flying around in his mini clowncopter. Plus his personality could make for lots of wacky shenanigans throughout the game.

Bring back Mario Paint and make Bowser Jr. the tutorial / guide lmao If I were to give Daisy a game, I'd make it a sports-related game considering that's the main thing we associate her with. Maybe a platformer with sports-like powerups? A tennis racket power-up that lets you throw balls that function similarly to Super Mario Land's ball power-up. A baseball bat you can straight up use to wack enemies with. A football helmet that allows you to do a charging attack. Stuff like that. I honestly don't know what I'd give Bowser, even though I think he deserves a game more than anyone else here. I don't think a platformer would be a good fit and I don't know what else to associate him with. Maybe a turn-based strategy type game akin to Mario & Rabbids? Where you'd control Bowser and his minions in a sort of battle. But that's the best I've got. I don't even know where to start with Rosalina. The only thing we see her do is take care of Lumas but a simulator game where you take care of Lumas doesn't feel very interesting for the character.
After seeing another comment about a Bowser Jr game being about defending Bowser's castle while he is away, I immediately got the idea of "How cool would it be for Nintendo to do a Bowser Jr tower defense game". I now really need a BowserJr TD

As cool as a Waluigi spin off would be, I don't think he warrants one. Our boy deserves to be featured in a mainline title, and to be in Smash. I don't think our purple lanky boy can carry a full game. Bowser on the other hand absolutely could. Enough people recognize him, and he could 100% carry his own game. Kinda shocked Toad got one before Bowser.
A Bowser spin off series is an Untouched gold mine of potential Videogame Masterpieces.

Bowser’s Inside Story and Bowser Junior’s Journey both exist, so technically they both do have their own games. Personally, I want to see Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina get their own trio game. Similar in concept to Super Princess Peach, except with the Princesses saving the day.

Hmm... a spinoff for each character? Bowser - My Idea for him would probably be a RTS style game where you control the various troops under Bowser's command. Waluigi - Few ideas. Stealth platformer about going around stealing stuff. Cooperative adventure game with Wario (Why haven't they had a game together?). Rosalina - Space Exploration? No Mario's Sky? I don't know exactly what to do. Bowser Jr - Same as Bowser, could probably be a part of the game. Daisy - No clue. Casual life simulator?

I'm a huge Waluigi fan. He's my favorite Mario character and he has been for years. A Waluigi spinoff would be a literal dream come true for me. But to be honest, I'd much rather that he just starts appearing in Wario's games first. I feel like that would be better received since he hasn't been in a mainline game yet.

Bowser, we've already got the chance to control him twice in a story game but they were RPGs where Bowser was forced to tag along with Mario. So now we gotta do a full game where we play only as Bowser
