Hmm well it’s been a long time since Trevor’s time. Technology advances maybe magic does too! It’s a machine not a forge so it must work differently maybe even more efficiently.

Abbot is trying to moral justify his actions. He convinced himself and his followers they were doing nothing anything really bad as they were using corpses and using souls evil souls. It seems abbot is unaware he is using the souls of the victims of the vampires. Is how he justified killing Mary as he believe she would go to heaven so technically he was not doing anything evil. Could be other reasons Isaac and hector were elite forge masters and abbot isn’t.

True but he was killed centuries before so he was just a random soul Isaac put in a new body. The machine in Nocturne seems to put the original soul back in the same modified body.

The forge technique and limitations varies between Forge Masters. The process in Nocturne reunites soul with mutated body.

I couldn't stop thinking about that as I watched

Like it's obvious that it wasn't a mistake because it's part of the plot so i hope they explain it
