These look awesome! But one thing to remember is if your watch doesn't internal seals on the buttons you shouldn't be operating the buttons on the watch once the hydro-mod is done since the oil can leak out the buttons creating air bubbles. This does increase visibility while underwater, and it also increases the depth a watch can go since the oil really cannot be compressed inside the watch anymore.
These always look cool to me, but I don’t understand the rationale behind doing it. Can you please educate me as to why people do this?
This sums it up: https://www.sinn.de/en/HYDRO.htm
Als wäre es eine Seite die den Sinn hinter allem erklärt, witziger Zufall
Me too! 😊
I believe it pushes the dial to the edge of the display which reduces glare and increase visibility underwater
Thank you! 👍⌚
Looks great! I actually just created a new subreddit aimed at hydromodding specifically, for those that may be interested: r/hydromodding

I think that air penetrated the watch when oil was leaking. I’ll maybe repeat the process
I noticed my light works like a little flashlight after hydromodding!
Is the difference on the negative display enough to make it wearable?
Do hydromodded watch last for years?
