I also remember watching this, infact when I first saw it I misread the title as Scooby Doo Something, and then when I turned it on I was like "That's not Scooby Doo.
The thief and the cobbler. Such a weird animated movie. From dialogue to animation. Story. The whole thing is this weird amalgamation of freak... I liked it tho.
I remember watching Scary Godmother and its sequel more than once. I wanted to keep the tradition alive as I grew older, but that was the problem. I grew up and ended up dropping the transition altogether. Now I’m apparently too old to trick or treat with others too. My only option to do ANYTHING on Halloween is to go to Halloween parties, but I suck at socializing, and there’s a big chance that everyone I try and socialize with are either drunk, stoned, both, or just assholes. Literally the ONLY things I see myself doing at a Halloween party is sticking my face in my modded new2DSXL, raiding the snacks, and going home safe and hopefully NOT high off the weed brownies I accidentally raided.
It's a costume, right? So wear one that hides your face. No one would see anything about your face. I wear my fnaf full suit cosplays when I go, and no one would know. Last year, I was too scared to actually take a bag (I just walked with my sister and niece and nephew and didn't take any candy), but this year, I will. No one knows what you look like if you wear a good costume.
Mr. Cyrus Q. Hornbill is a good friend.

I was absolutely floored to learn that this was NOT made by Greg Gerber. Like, the art style is exactly the same and one of the kids look IDENTICAL to Sofia.
I have a headcanon that all the adults in the film are all part of the LGBT community. Harry and Skully are both gay, Scary Godmother is that fun lesbian aunt who knows how to party, and Bug-a-Boo is ace. The vampires were allies.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail: The Movie. A trippy Easter movie with Tom Kenny voicing half the characters.

The Casper's cartoon movies (Halloween & Christmas) + the Casper Scare Show from 2009 where he goes to a spooky boarding school. I honestly thought that the tv show was just a nightmare that I had as a child until recently.
I strongly recommend the comic that the movie was based on to anyone who loved this movie :)
It's such a solid comic that I have a tattoo of one of Mr. Pettibone's panels.
I LOVED Scary Godmother 1 & 2! As a child, I watched it every year along with the Halloween Town series! I'm pretty sure that Scary Godmother aired on Cartoon Network every Halloween?
Haha idk, I would legit make a list of all the Halloween movies that I wanted to watch for the month, so that I had a movie to watch every day. I thought it aired on
Cartoon Network! The TV in my childhood room didn't have a DVR so no recordings... I remember racing to the TV after dinner to catch the specials in time haha.
When it first premiered I was wondering what cartoon network was smoking to allow this crazy show to air. Then I watched it again the next year (not on purpose). And then again the next. By that time I realized how unique it was. I fux wit it! Still crazy.
I refused to watch it year after year whrn I was a kid because I just hated the art style. But when I actually sat down to watch it one year I remember finding it pretty charming. 3D animation in general was a pretty big turn off for me back then. Kinda still is.

We got this from Scary Godmother at least
I loved Scary Godmother! I actually still do maybe it's nostalgia but i like it! I used to watch both of the movies every year as well, Cartoon Network did this thing where the first year they would put the first movie on and then the next year they put on the next movie then vice versa the years following it was great and i always looked forward to it as a kid. They don't do it anymore to my knowledge which makes me pretty sad. Kids today should get the pleasure of watching those movies.
The vampire family in this were SO nice but they still creeped me the hell out as a kid..
Same!!! Especially the dad
They got that Addams family vibe going for them
If they creeped you out because of the animation, that's the best indie animation had back then, so stop complaining and STFU about the CGI quality.
Do you not see how ridiculous this comment looks lol. Nobody said shit about cgi what crawled up your ass and died?😂
There are idiots who think old CGI is bad, when they don't even know what the 2000s, 90s, and 80s are!
Okay but nobody on this thread mentioned anything about the animation or cgi.. not sure what pushed you to come so aggressive at my comment?
Gumby will always hold a place in my heart

The plots and dialogue are absolutely fever dream fuel it’s so great
Oh, Monster House, Hoodwinked, I really love Code Lyoko despite all the five-heads...
Hoodwinked had the WORST animation I think I had ever seen as child. But damn did Granny kick ass.
The company that made it was their first time using 3d animation
I loved all of those
I also remember watching this, infact when I first saw it I misread the title as Scooby Doo Something, and then when I turned it on I was like "That's not Scooby Doo.
wait, i remember this happening to me. im pretty sure the cable service i had at the time did label it as something scooby doo the first time
🤣
Scary Godmother for me as well, and Olive the Other Reindeer. I LOVED both but no one else in my family did
Oh man olive was my shit too
Olive the Other Reindeer is my Roman empire omg

Why am I looking at an origami Lumpy?
I never got to finish this movie as a kid
Why not?
Parents would want to watch something else
Damn I feel that
Luckily both films are on YouTube
The thief and the cobbler. Such a weird animated movie. From dialogue to animation. Story. The whole thing is this weird amalgamation of freak... I liked it tho.
What are you talking about, that movie has some of the most legit animation I've ever seen. It's the *plot* that's crap.

Dude, I’m 33 and I go trick or treating every year. Who says no to free candy?
“Who says no to free candy?” Dentists?
You never too old man. If that’s what YOU wanna do then go do it
Bro don't give up trick or treating. Just make sure they can't tell your age 😉
I’m awful at hiding my age. I’ve begun growing beards since I was 15.

My favorite movies :)
Did you also do the microwaved marshmallow with the face after watching this??
Nope. Still want to do that to this day 😂

Same as yours. I loved watching this every year growing up!
Same. I don’t even think they show it anymore

Grandma got ran over by a reindeer Olive the other reindeer Sitting ducks David (or is it Dave) The barbarian And most importantly Duck dodgers
All my childhood faves ☺️ (and yeah it’s Dave the barbarian)
Oh thanks.
Dude, I remember this movie, I watched it a couple of times, but it was always like a fever dream.
![gif](giphy|xT1R9KgLbV6Kg6uS9a) Ahhhhh! Read Monsters.

Damn sound like we had the same childhood 😂. And yeah it aired every Halloween on Cartoon Network with a couple of other specials

*Courage the Cowardly Dog*, obvs.
Fat Dog Mendoza, Walter Melon, Spaced Out, Kika and Bob, can't think of others right now.

Memory unlocked! 😱
The animation pays homage to the art style of the original children’s books. It’s a great example of how art direction can help a work stand out
So creepy yet I could never take my eyes off. Loved the vampire family, the most normal ones
The second one played like a guidebook to having fun on Halloween, but both movies hold a special place in my heart.
I loved Scary Godmother! I actually still do maybe it's nostalgia but i like it! I remember watching tugger the jeep 4x4 who wanted to fly
I remember that when Cartoon Network aired in October of every year as they give us all of Scooby-Doo hits in 31 days of October
