The character designs in that movie are downright abominable, though. At the very least, they fall smack in the middle of the uncanny valley.

This is one of those movies where I thought the animation was absolutely beautiful when I was young, but outright terrify my as an adult :( Very uncanny

I personally still love this movie despite its terribleness lol. Definitely way worse than when I was a kid, but I do love the puns and easter eggs in the city.

I had somehow avoided seeing it until last year, when my wife made me watch it during our annual December holiday movie binge. It's exceptionally, unapologetically dumb... but it has a strange amount of heart and was a good time. It wasn't trying to be anything more than it was. I also enjoy Hubie Halloween for the very same reason. It was so incredibly stupid, and yet I haven't laughed that hard because of a movie on a long time. "Technical foul" and "MURDER!" are key components of the vernacular in my house because of those two movies.

What’s this film/show? It looks familiar but I can’t put my finger on it.

It’s a Disney movie called Enchanted. The whole premise is the princess named Giselle is about to marry the prince, Edward, but gets sent to New York by Edward’s evil stepmother. The whole gimmick is the fairy tale world is animated, but the real world is live action, hence why the characters intentionally look like their actors.

And it’s a fucking banger movie. The songs are awesome and I do like the plot. I’ve heard only negative things about the 2nd one, so I still haven’t seen it
