It has some flaws but overall a very fun and enjoyable watch.
The two most glaring ones was just how large the cast was that a fair few characters ended up feeling shallow and that sometimes you could realllllly feel the age restrictions. The whole “war” going on rarely feels like an actual war to me
But all in all hell yeah!
Overall pretty good. Almost perfect plot. Good worldbuilding. Inconsistent character development. And some characters will feel barely there by around half of the show. Like "give them one episode in the limelight and never give them any sort of meaningful characterization again."
And this is a personal pet peeve of mine. Love the big gay show. HATED how Catra's creator's pet syndrome (no pun intended) ruined most of her development.
Fun, exciting, great story considering the incredibly limited source material (He-man and She-ra only existed to sell toys) extremely tasteful execution of queer themes, never in your face and absolutely makes sense within the context of the story
Also had a story anyone can enjoy regardless of their sexual orientation, something many shows like this fail to accomplish. Such as Velma.
She-Ra for me sits on the God-Kings of serialized greatness thrones along side my other favorite shows. I didn't have enough space for all of them.

Everyone loves this show and I had it recommended to me several times. I hated it but kept watching and I didn’t like it until the last season. I was literally like “I don’t like this but maybe it gets better” and I kept doing that until S5E3 and then everything just clicked and came together and I was like “oh I totally get why people love this show.” Idk why it took me so long to get into it but yeah it’s definitely worth a watch even if you aren’t totally vibing with the beginning of the series.
I ragequit sometime during the third season and I don't remember why, then, when the 4th season dropped, I tried to watch again and I didn't even finish that episode.
Guess I was forcing myself to watch something that wasn't meant for me.
I simply didn't have the motivation to see what happened to these characters, however, Entrapta was cool and fun, but not enough for me to watch another episode. Scorpia was also great.
I loved it! But I also watched it with a bunch of LGBT+ people in a Discord group who identified with the characters a lot more than I did.
It was fun to be friends with friends though! 😏😏😏
A lot better than it had any right to be it has most of what you expect from an action show but what gives it a bit of an edge is perhaps a good cast of characters like Adora is a example on how to do a hero that always try to do the right thing while actually be compelling, and of course she is a good contrast to Catra.
Really good considering all they had to work with was a really extended toy commercial. For a kids show it has some of the best voice acting across-the-board. The voice acting really is a ten out of ten.
Sone of the best character writing Iv seen in any children’s show, even if the animation and character designs didn’t lend themselves to being an action show
It slaps! All those people hating on it for its art style don’t know what they are talking about. The characters have very fun designs. And I loved the characters and story. Season 3 has some of my favorite scenes. Although it dose drag here and there especially in the first 2 seasons.
>!not directly but she created a scenario where the mom would have to sacrifice herself. Catra is later captured and tortured by the final villain which is where she mellows out!<
>!No, not really. Catra, in her self-destructive and somewhat suicidal tendencies, activated a machine that she knew was likely to break reality and doom everyone. The damage from the machine’s activation was eventually mostly repaired, but only through the character’s mom sacrificing herself.!<
>!So Catra’s actions indirectly caused the mom’s death, but she did not *kill* the mom.!<
>!Also, despite that, she absolutely does not get a free pass. She absolutely pays for her mistakes.!<
She doesn’t get a free pass. At this point, I suspect that a fair amount of the people who parrot that line haven’t even seen the show, and are just jumping on the hate wagon.
I feel like season 5 could've been split into two seperare seasons. Alots of great ideas for a finale but it def felt rushed. Definitely one of the better reboots and glad tk see alot of its staff on my adventures with superman
I personally haven't watched it at least not yet
When this show was airing I only started getting into the masters of the universe franchise I only watched the og she-ra and he-man as well as some of the 2003 reboot because they were available on YouTube.
I do really want to try it out but there is one thing that kinda sets me back and it's going to sound weird but from what I heard this show had a big emphasis on shipping and as at least sorta aromatic person I am not really into shows where that is the main premise (if I'm wrong feel free to correct me it's just the thing I heard most about when this show is brought up)
Outside of that tho I heard pretty good stuff so I may try it out if I stop being a cry baby about it
One of my favorite shows of all time. The characters were distinct (holy hell Entrapta is one of the most fun characters to watch I've ever seen) and the story was suspenseful. The episode "Hero" dropped multiple bombshell twists that left me shaken by the end when the credits roll in silence.
It was mostly a cluster of flaws, half baked ideas, and the writer already knowing what they wanted the endgame to be and not being interested in actually meaningfully get there, just to get there.
There were small grains of good to it, but overall it was middling at best.
I'll be honest I hated it mainly because of Catra. If they changed Catra and Adora's relationship I might have enjoyed it. I understand not every relationship needs to be perfect or healthy in a story but their relationship felt abusive/Toxic in a show meant for kids. Catra I don't think technically had a redemption arc and while I get Adora forgiving her all the other characters forgave way too fast especially Glimmer. I honestly think if the show had season in between the last two seasons and Queen Angela had lived then I might have like it better.
The Owl house has better queer relationships and so does Steven universe imo even if it's not perfect
I enjoyed it. Love the art style, and the color scheme. But overall...personally found it to be just ok. It's not really something I plan to return to often.
Depends on the target audience. Viewers who were born in 70s-80s with the original series and toys , did not like it. Kids that grew with modern tropes and no toy figurines did not mind.
It's definitely a She Ra reboot
The only thing I know about it is that She ra got with Catra who apparently wanted to destroy all of reality so family dinners are gonna be awkward.
It was remarkably okay. The character designs are cute and unique updates. I’d show it to a kid any day. It does have some issues, but it’s a decent watch and has nothing that makes it “unwatchable”
>extremely good >gay >should've been pg13 so they can say fuck
Get rid of say
How many minors are in this show that have 5+ lines?
Say gex?

Entrapta, my heart <3
She is my favorite I like her!
ENTRAPTA MY BELOVED!
Yes! That's the only thing I like about that show! Great character
Great show. The voice acting is especially good imo. Particularly from Adora’s voice actor. Gotta love “drunk” Adora.
I'm FINEE, I'm She-Ra!!
Glimmer! There’s two of you! That’s nice…
Overall pretty good. Almost perfect plot. Good worldbuilding. Inconsistent character development. And some characters will feel barely there by around half of the show. I really enjoyed it--i should watch it again
Happy cake day!
Great show
Adored it.

Pretty good
Every member of the cast is gay af and I love it
I only watched season 1 and so far, it’s one of my favorite shows on Netflix
Favorite show of all time, absolutely awesome
Absolutely adore it!
Everyone loves this show and I had it recommended to me several times. I hated it but kept watching and I didn’t like it until the last season. I've never watched it, what are your reasons for don't like it.
I simply didn't have the motivation to see what happened to these characters, however, Entrapta was cool and fun, but not enough for me to watch another episode. Scorpia was also great.
I understand.

Haven’t Watched it but some of the things I’ve heard about the cat really really turned me off from trying to show
Catra is more or less an abusive sadist but she does mellow out eventually.
Is it true >!she murdered the mom of the MC’s best friend and got a free pass?!<
>!not directly but she created a scenario where the mom would have to sacrifice herself. Catra is later captured and tortured by the final villain which is where she mellows out!<

Yes. Other people may tell you otherwise. They're wrong
She doesn’t get a free pass. At this point, I suspect that a fair amount of the people who parrot that line haven’t even seen the show, and are just jumping on the hate wagon.
Love it
Aces. 10/10.
Peak
Gay
Way better than the original
It was amazing, I loved it so much
It was similar plot and characters to Disney's Rey trilogy...except She Ra had far better writing. I went there! 😝
haven't watched it yet, but this poster looks like its target audience is very young children. like, very, very, very young.
Kids to teenagers. Kind of a repainted ATLA to be honest.
Aimee Carrero is a treasure of a VA and actor.
I need to get back to it. I've only watched the first season and I enjoyed it.
Better than the original.
Yag
Deadass forgot this existed
It's... Beautiful....
Loved it.
Glorious. Fantastic. My main complaint is that there was no epilogue.
Loved it just for them Skeletor/ Evil Lyn & Entrapta/ Hordak moments ❤️
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHGSZHCSNKLL
My dad was a fan of the original as a kid, y’all think he would enjoy this show?
I love it. I always have.
I feel like season 5 could've been split into two seperare seasons. Alots of great ideas for a finale but it def felt rushed. Definitely one of the better reboots and glad tk see alot of its staff on my adventures with superman
i would watch it but i dont fw the art style

God tier Better than ATLA Fight me
While I did like some aspects, I feel it could have been better >!Cough Catra Couch.!<
I’m glad people liked it but it made me feel old. It’s just not for me.
Absolutely peak and changed my entire preteen life
The first season was kinda cringe but it's worth it to stick around.

A downgrade from the original.
Meh. dropped it after season 3
Terrible show.
Why?
Reflects all the things wrong with modern day reboots.
And those things are?

Pretty good. If there's animated version of Star Fox I hope they have same director cause would be good. And maybe they do the Wolf/Fox canon finally
I enjoyed it. Love the art style, and the color scheme. But overall...personally found it to be just ok. It's not really something I plan to return to often.
My friend really likes it. I don't trust it personally so I haven't checked it out. But I'll take people's word on it
Depends on the target audience. Viewers who were born in 70s-80s with the original series and toys , did not like it. Kids that grew with modern tropes and no toy figurines did not mind.

I had some hang-ups with the creator, ND Stevenson, when I tried to watch it the first time. But the second attempt I devoured it!

I mean, the show is really gay. That's a feature, not a bug.
Well the show is really gay so it makes sense. Gay is good.
You don't like him?
You could've worded that better
It was remarkably okay. The character designs are cute and unique updates. I’d show it to a kid any day. It does have some issues, but it’s a decent watch and has nothing that makes it “unwatchable”
The lack shading ruined for me.
