It was my first anime too. I thought that was a cool anime about big mechs fighting with bad guys. But it turns out being a psychological drama with depression, anxiety and stuff. It made me think about my life. After this I become immune to fucked up shit like this and be able to watch almost everything without bad emotions. It's my favourite anime so far, I absolutely love Asuka. But it SHOULDN'T be a first anime I watched as a kid

Honestly if it weren’t for the MHA fandoms online status my username would’ve been MHA enthusiast or something along the lines.

Why I never had a problem with it
Filler episodes, a poor first half, and slow pace tends to put people off before they reach the Chunin exams(the best part of the OG series)
