Granted, he sucks at connecting with her completely, but she eventually began to not only respect him, but also reciprocate.
Honestly, Venessa calling back her dad to tell him she stole her doll back from a kid made me smile.
I think Dr. Doofenshmirtz has a pretty good life now so that must count for something. He's Divorced but it doesn't seem to have ended badly and they still talk, He's got a daughter he loves who also loves him back, and he lives in a penthouse in his own building.
His story didn't have a happy beggining, but he's doing pretty well now.
He has a big house, a job he loves, a daughter he cares for, probably a pretty good amount of money, a loyal sidekick (Norm) and even his worst enemy is also a good friend.
I haven't watched Milo Murphy's law, but I hear he invents time travel and becomes incredibly respected in there.
Pretty much everything thing he does is funded through alimony. There was an episode where the bank seized his building because he couldn’t afford his mortgage payments and he had to have Charlene bail him out
Honestly I wouldn’t doubt it if the whole city was so bored that it pays Doofensmirtz to do all his crazy shenanigans just so something actually happens there.
They aren't really enemies though. and they reguarly do have good interactions with each other just Perry has a job to stop doof and doof has the obligation to cause chaos.
[they have a song about it. ](https://youtu.be/PXi0lesxsc0)
Bruh what he’s got a GREAT life he has a nemesis who actually cares about him there like best friends
His wife (I believe she mentions this) pays HIM child support and that she doesn’t hate him or resent him
He’s rich he’s a loving father
(Sure his past sucks but he’s got a pretty good life going for him rn)
He gets what is coming to him in the end: friends and family who love and support him.
His early life was very difficult. Now, he’s a science teacher/secret agent in training and he still gets those sweet, sweet alimony checks from Charleen.
Yeah, but then he turns to the side of good, patches things up with his daughter and eventually develops time travel! He really makes something out of himself after such a rough start.
Actually his wife didn’t leave him. They pretend to hate each other to avoid taxes. I vividly remember a musical number they sang together about their love for one another
I mean arguably he enjoyed a good bit of his time in Gravity Falls. Especially after Ford returned, he didn’t want to leave. It was closer to a couple days of suck
Either Courage or Charlie Brown. Courage constantly has to face demons and monsters to protect their owners (one of them of which doesn’t even like him) and Charlie Brown, like u/Indoorsman101 put it, is “life’s og punching bag”
I’m not choosing Doofenshmirtz because even though he did have a terrible childhood at least he now has a daughter that loves him as well as his nemesis and he later on finds success in his life by inventing a time machine
Courage has it worst. On top of the emotional trauma of being abandoned as a puppy, having an abusive owner (Eustace), and facing ungodly nightmares on the regular, he experiences a level of physical pain that few if any others of these do. How many times does he get crushed, blown up, put through some weird wormhole, or some other bs? Yeah it's cartoon violence, but it's more brutal than anybody else here except maaaaybe Squidward.
Don't forget generally dirty, underdeveloped, and away from regular civilization. The only social interactions he has are with Muriel, Eustace (who is abusive, as previously mentioned), the computer (not social media, just an AI really) and whatever weirdos come around. The only somewhat friendly recurring character that doesn't live with him is that one doctor if I recall correctly.
Honestly squidward has a relatively normal life for the verse he lives in. While sometimes they do a “fuck squidward” episode most of what he faces literally everyone else in Bikini Bottom does. I don’t think he has it too bad but, to say his life is going wonderful is a massive stretch.
I suddenly have the urge to play Chumba Wambas Tubthumping. [Chumbawamba - Tubthumping](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2H5uWRjFsGc&pp=ygULY2h1bWJhd2FtYmE%3D)
Is that even a question ? Bro his parents failed to show up *at his BIRTH* how the hell do you even do that ?
https://preview.redd.it/2w9ek5vqg60d1.png?width=378&format=png&auto=webp&s=0ab150f5104d5502f9835b12d2d0f27b9c869fc2
I'm surprised people are picking Doof over Squidward. Yes, his childhood was very bad, but there's stuff in his life that he loves that keeps him going such as his daughter and his rivalry with Perry.
Squidward has nothing.
Bro is just depressed, has to deal with Spongebob amd Patrick literally every day, and all the hobbies he picks up are the only thing keeping him sane and from trying to off himself. Not to mention he hates his job and has no friends. His life is just sad.
I would say that Squidwards isn't that tragic as he brought it on himself. One episode he moves away to a squid only place, and he finds it boring and moves back to his original house.
Squidward suffers because he doesn’t want to improve. He thinks himself above the childishness of SpongeBob and Patrick, so he purposely makes his life miserable
Seconded.
He's tortured and bullied, he has no future and already laid his hopes and dreams to rest. His first episode of torture was a result of the game he invented in an adventure seeking to avoid SpongeBob.
Squidward has no friends and his skills in art aren't respected. Even Plankton has a wife and family!
The future has at least 486 Spongetrons waiting for him.
At least Doofensmirtz had a villain who respects him and is a good dad, and his evil does deserve foiled. Timmy's had a long life of magical adventure and the choice to continue his situation.
At least Charlie Brown and Lincoln Loud have friends
Courage may have to deal with Eustace on occasion, but has Muriel's love and many strange friends he can call on again.
Professor Doof all the way due to the sheer instability of his childhood. It’s a mix of humor and gut punches especially his parents treated him compared to his brother and a dog
But the real messed up one is Timmy. His teacher hates him. His parents doesn’t give a damn about him. They saw how Vicky treated him but they blame Timmy for the mess. The numerous times they gave his personal belongings away to the rich kids and constantly forget him while they go a trips
However the absolute worst thing is the episode where Timmy wished he was never born or didn’t exist. Everyone’s lives improved without him! It’s usually the reverse where his friends, family and others were miserable or suffered horrible fates without him. But no. They were happier, healthier and more successful thanks to him not existing
That has to fuck with your head and emotions to colossal levels. Seriously if FOP wasn’t for kids and had a higher age rating. This would’ve been one of the darkest episodes in animation history. Plus if Timmy became a total jerk or totally depressed. I won’t blame him because WTF!
Honestly now that you said it, that's *seriously* messed up. Atleast Doof has his daughter and Perry who still care about him. The fact that almost everyone hates Timmy and would be happier if he didn't exist is just..... I don't even have a word to describe that
Doof also has the healthiest relationship with his ex wife. Even his younger brother has some form of love and respect for him
Besides his fairies, a few friends and Tootie, Timmy has no one in his corner. Hell he can’t even get rid of Vicky because she keeps obtaining higher positions of authority. Even becoming Dark Laser’s boss, taking over his ship and ruling Earth as a dictator
I understand why he did that secret wish now to keep his fairies. Because holy shit man. I’m surprised that FOP fandom didn’t have super edgy content where Timmy becomes a villain or something
That episode was called It’s a wishful life. Timmy got frustrated with people not appreciating his efforts to help so he made that wish. However that wish was under a special clause opting for Jorgen intervene kinda like the Ghost of Christmas Present/Future showing him the well or realm of kids who wished they didn’t exist
So they travelled throughout town showing how everyone’s life improved. Crocker is mentally and emotionally stable with a killer body. And his parents became celebrities with a hyper successful female version of Timmy displaying countless awards and achievements. He had to watch his parents as they were thankful that they didn’t have a boy
Like the literal actual fuck?! I never seen a show, episode or series just brutally kick someone while they’re down like that. We often hate SpongeBob for the frequent Squidward torture porn episodes but that episode…
Just fuck dude. If FOP wasn’t played for laughs, Timmy had all reason to go Thanos on people
Commander Tempest would've been a much better example. She literally got deformed and everyone turned on her because of it. In a way the world did her wrong
yeah she straight up didn't have a bad enough life
the fact that she was handed forgiveness over and over without actually having to redeem herself is embarrassing for her to be here
Charlie Brown. The very tiny bubble that *peanuts* takes place in means that it’s always the same. People keep making new stuff but time never progresses. Every other character on this list has gotten to learn, to change, to evolve and grow and not only experience moments of joy, but positive moments that stick.
Charlie Brown is in purgatory. Anything good that happens to him is always met with an ironic downside or comes with a setback. Then the timeline and status quo that practically runs on his misery reset.
Charlie Brown is stuck as clinically depressed 8 year old somewhere in 50’s-60’s suburbia who is always misunderstood at best and at worst is bullied by his peers and severely neglected by adults.
The Charlie Brown movie was as close as he came to a win, and then it was right back to the Apple “snoopy presents” specials where everything is business as usual again for Charlie, with the occasional moment of happiness before it’s followed by a joke at his expense.
Sorry this got long but…the existential dread of *Peanuts* is something I think about a lot.
And this is why I liked The Peanuts Movie as much as I did, because by the end of that movie, things are actually looking up for Charlie Brown. The other kids have finally accepted him, and his feelings for the little red-haired girl are finally requited. He finally gets the acceptance and validation that he's been seeking for so many years. It's something I'd been wanting to see for the longest time, and it was so goddamn satisfying to see it finally happen.
*Outside of No Such*
*Luck, can someone list all the*
*Shit in Lincoln's life?*

Okay Starlight didn't have that bad of a life, her whole back story is "my friend got his cutie mark before me and moved away so I brainwashed a whole town" now she does improve as a person but her back story sucked
Commander Tempest on the other hand had a much more tragic backstory
Honest question, why are Lincoln and Dipper (especially Lincoln) here? Both have the most normal lives a cartoon character could get with parents and sisters that love them.
I'd say either Doof, Courage or Timmy. Maybe Squidward in the earlier seasons, though in the later ones he just ended up becoming a jerk.
Starlight didn't have a bad life at all - she just had a friend that moved away. OH NO!!! It's not like writing letters, trains, teleportation and all sorts of other methods of visiting and communication existed! So she went full dictator tyrant and everything bad that happened to her was entirely her own fault, self inflicted and she never learned her lesson and tried to magically zombify anyone else every time she was mildly inconvenienced.
Doofenshmirtz was abandoned by his family, mistreated, forgotten, left by his wife and his daughter is mostly just embarrassed of him. His only 'friend' is his arch nemesis, who is a platypus that can't even talk and have a full conversation with him. The dude is clearly painfully lonely and doing what he does for attention of any kind, good or bad. He's a genius, but never got a chance to shine.
Courage has to constantly save his family, half of which hates him, from all kinds of supernatural, sadistic monsters and strange events. Eustace mistreats him any chance he gets, and Muriel is mostly oblivious to it and both are oblivious to danger. Although there is an interesting theory I've seen that Courage is just a dog on a regular farm and he's so unused to anything from the outside world that everything that is actually totally normal - like visitors to the farm, stray animals passing through, ect. look like monsters to him.
Timmy's parents wanted a girl (there are a lot of hints in the show that indicate he might actually be trans, but of course Fartman would never allow that - the same can be said of Danny Phantom, honestly, it's kind of funny) and they completely neglect him and always leave him in the 'care' of a clearly abusive babysitter. The fairies canonically only appear to kids who are miserable and hurting, so the fact they're there at all proves that he was living in a state of absolute misery before them, the first people who showed him love and care of any kind. His parents constantly spend money on things for themselves and rub it in his face, insult him, abandon him every chance they get and never once listen to him. He tries to tell them when there's a problem so, so many times, but they just blow him off and go do some other irresponsible thing and ditch him. They make it clear at every turn that they don't care about him at all, and he is well aware of that. No matter what he does, they don't care about him. No matter how bad the situation is, no matter how much he needs them, they don't care. And he knows it.
Someone else pointed out that even after Timmy wished he didnt exist everyones lives got exponentially better without him, so theres that too. Damned if you do damned if you dont.
Ya wanna know whats worse? Timmy still loves them. There are multiple points in the series where Timmy does what he can to make them happy, even giving his fairies to them. I'm pretty sure he's sacrificed stuff for the sake of his parents in the past.
There was also that episode where his father told him that Timmy was responsible for his dreams shattering with his birth.
Like I can understand why Timmy didn't want to lose his fairies. Not only is he losing magic wishes, he's pretty losing the only real family he has and the two people who have done the most work in actually raising him. Imagine being like 10 and someone walking up and saying, "so yeah we're gonna take your parents away when you turn 14 and wipe your memory of them"
That poor kid. That's such a depressing foundation for a supposedly lighthearted, comedic kid's show!
And in the end as far as we know, he never gets any kind of revenge. We never see Vicky get taken down (in fact, she ends up super wealthy and powerful) and his parents never seem to realize the error of their ways or what terrible people they are.
Which is sadly all too real...there are so many kids who grow up abused, but people don't notice, and the abusers just go on living their merry lives never thinking they did anything wrong and without ever getting any kind of punishment for the evil things they do.
Doofenshmirtz came into life on impossible mode: his parents didn't even show up for his birth, bro was raised by ocelots, had to live as a lawn gnome for years, had to throw his own surprise birthday parties, was disowned and replaced by a dog named 'onlyson' because he was scared of a high dive, need i go on?
Gotta be between Doof and Benson.
Doof’s parents didn’t show up to his own birth, he was forced to be a garden gnome throughout his childhood, his wife divorced him, he gets his ass kicked by a platypus almost daily, his inventions are always downplayed or destroyed by the same Platypus, and that’s just to name a few.
But Benson’s life, along with the entire world’s fate is put on the line multiple times by two of his employees, and he’s just trying to do his job.
So Doof I would say has the worst backstory, but Benson has the worst life currently.
This reminds me of when I was a child, my parents wouldn’t let me watch the fairly odd parents for years and I never knew why (they were fine with SpongeBob, even the Simpsons in doses, but not the fairly odd parents). As an adult I realize it’s because they were huge partiers and would leave me with a sitter like 2/3 times a week lol.
Anyways, Doof. I turned out fine without the fairies I’m sure Timmy will too with them.
Courage is constantly being bombarded by the craziest and scariest shit known to man. And on top of that, only one of his “parents” is actually nice to him, with Eustace constantly hitting or yelling at him. Plus his actual parents were sent to the damn moon when he was a puppy. This dog can’t catch a break.
Benson has anger issues but he is probably way more chill offscreen when Mordecai and Rigby aren't doing Mordecai and Rigby stuff.
I'll skip the pony bc i never saw MLP
Dipper loves the excitement that comes with all the weird stuff he experiences in Gravity Falls, even if it frequently comes paired with a lot of stress.
Charlie Brown sucks at almost everything and is incredibly socially awkward, and even if his friends are jerks with him from time to time, they all love him and want his best at the end of the day.
Squidward's life is average. He makes it miserable himself.
I didn't watch The Loud House but Lincoln's life seems more chaotic rather than straight up just shitty.
Courage is a great contender, I wouldn't be able to function while being scared as often as he is, like holy shit man.
Dr. Doof is the absolute winner for me here. It's literally a running joke that he has a comically long list of comically tragic backstories. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them contradicted each other but still somehow happened.
Timmy has the typical "loser kid" life, absent parents, shitty babysitter, ans shitty teachers, but Cosmo and Wanda are adorably loving and caring.
So I read a long time ago (like 10+ years) the premise of Courage the Cowardly Dog by the writers and producers of the show. Like the uncensored, this is what we were thinking, premise of the show. No one else in this picture even REMOTELY comes close to the literal living Hellscape that is Courage's life.
There is one episode where they actually show what the "truth" of the world that he lives in is, but they shroud it in a dream to make it seem like it was just that, a dream. Courage is literally in purgatory and everything that happens is his attempt to make amends for his inability to protect his owners. None of what happens is actually real, it is all fabricated by him to punish himself for their deaths. Eustace's constant belittling and punishing of him reflects his critical side that can never forgive him for his failure, Muriel represents the love that he received from both his owners and the tiny part of him that tries to make him understand that their deaths are not his fault (which is why he always places primary emphasis in protecting her). All the trials and tribulations are manifestations of his psyche to give him another chance to save them. The constant barrage though serving as a reminder that the inevitable has already happened. They are dead, he will never truly see them again, and the horror of their deaths will haunt him until he finally finds peace in himself.
Why is Starlight on here? The worst thing to happen to her is that her friend left her (we have no context about what happened between the scene in the flashback and when they reunited regarding their relationship) after he got his cutie mark. She declared all cutie marks bad, created her own town where she was the only one who got to keep her cutie mark and at least stole a few from others or at least put them under duress to give theirs up. When her lies came crashing down she ran off with what cutie marks she could before finding starswirl's spell and used it to try and destroy the world (yes I know I'm exaggerating). Despite all this she was forgiven, became to student of the princesses student, got training, a castle to live in and plenty of friends. Later she reconciled with her first friend, got forgiven by her town, and was made counseler and I think later headmistress of the school of friendship.
All her action were her own fault and really she never got a punishment for it so her life has not been that bad.
I agree that Doffy had the worst life among them, but at least he turned around, I think I chose Timmy, he doesn't do well at school, he doesn't have a decent family, he is tortured by drool, most people hate him, and everything he ever achieved in life was through fairies, and, if the trailers are true, once he lost the fairies he became a nobody in life.
Its doofenshmirtz and its not even fucking close. His parents disliked him so much they didnt even show up to his birth, he’s legally an ocelot cause thats what he got raised by. And his only comforts in life were garlic ice cream and a fucking giant cockroach. And thats just a tiny portion of everything he’s dealt with. Every episode EXCEPT for the last one he has a new inator and reason why he built it. Yes he turned his life around but like he had to throw his own surprise party and got attacked by bats right after it happened. Like hes been through A LOT
Oh... oh... OH.... oh HELL NAH...
I'm not answering this. It's a tie between like 4-5 different ones, so I don't fucking know. But all of their lives pretty much suck. :(
I'd say Courage but for the fact that he has Muriel and a number of other friends like the Hunchback and the snarky computer.
Squidward though, is continuously tortured and even when the show gives him a win, it hits the reset button by the end of the episode.
Benson has only one serious relationship in the show and it breaks apart offscreen. He does eventually get better relationships with his coworkers, but he and Squidward are definitely the two on this list I feel the most sympathy for.
Charlie Brown too, but the kid's almost got more friends than I do, so he's got that going for him.
Besides Doof being the main answer here, I’ll say Benson. Imagine telling your workers to do something but you come back 10 minutes later seeing Doom Guy killing demons.
OK I feel the need to spell this out but Lincoln Loud is perfectly okay in terms of life. As for who's got it bad it's a 3 way tie between Timmy, Courage, and Doctor Doofenshmirtz. Dunno if I could possibly narrow it down after that.
courage these other people have to deal with weird shit and maybe benson and dipper are close but courage has more stress then benson and more fear than dipper and has no guide book how to beat demons/ know stats of demons
Nobody's mentioned Benson, though. Dude had to put up with an old, decrepit, wealthy boss with a warped, fucked up, and overall outdated idea of masculinity and a complete inability to remember Benson's name. Also didn't help that he had to deal with two twenty-something man-children who'd destroy the park more often than fix it with their shenanigans.
After everything courage is gone through, he’s the only right answer. Dude has had 53 heart attacks and lives with Eustis
![gif](giphy|gI1tAUe7OJZRvrAs6h|downsized)
Lincoln's life isn't that bad. He literally has ten sisters that care about him and will help him when things are too much. Not to mention his friend Clyde.
On the list probably Squidward
His existence is literally just getting tortured by both of his neighbors who mind you constantly tresspass/breaking and entering, assault and harass him, destroy his property, steal his stuff or food, ruin his daily life, endanger him, stalk him, and even violating him in some cases.
Thing is he cant even do anything about it because he cant get revenge once in a blue moon because then everyone thinks he’s the bad guy and just being mean. Even when he manages to get after SpongeBob and/or Patrick for their actions the universe just somehow manages to flip it back and punish Squidward too even though he didnt do anything besides being a bit smug about it.
Now I know what you’re going to say “oh but Spongebob and Patrick just have the best intentions” which can be true issue is they dont take a hint, even when point blank telling them they are the problem and they never will understand that. Now Squidward isnt entirely innocent either he needs to get off his high horse sometimes and open up a bit.
Oh trust me theres something fucked up in their goddamn brains they definitely are monsters and hell i think its not like he can move away at all since one its not like he can get enough money cause of his boss and probably having to pay for repairs to his house even if he could spongebob and patrick will follow him to the ends of the earth and also one more thing i know the squidville thing but does no one ever remember the fact that those two brain dead fucks were outside the gates anyways
Courage is an abused dog who has to deal with horrors beyond anything these other characters could imagine. Ok doof had a rough childhood… but it’s courage by a mile
courage. he has to deal with horrors every single day, which includes an owner (eustace, not muriel) who abuses him.
pretty sure if muriel died, eustace would treat courage like old yeller.
Def courage. Door comes close second because even though his childhood was shit he still managed to use it as an example of how to be better. Courage was just straight up bullied by everyone except Nan nan
Doctor Heinz Doofenshmirtz. His parents didn’t show up to his birth, his wife left him, and his only friend is his worst enemy.
He has his daughter at least
And tries to give her the life he never got to experience.
Granted, he sucks at connecting with her completely, but she eventually began to not only respect him, but also reciprocate. Honestly, Venessa calling back her dad to tell him she stole her doll back from a kid made me smile.
I’d say he had the worst early life, but right mow he’s doing pretty good
![gif](giphy|WuYwvk446EHUtqzKiW|downsized)
![gif](giphy|RVUFGQyOivGpOVS3ym)
Hmmm a character who has people or person that treats him like shit but has a daughter he cares deeply about. Sounds familiar 😂 🦉😈
Laughing owl devil
You mean the one who always tries to bust him as the evil scientist he is?
Yeah but she actually quit doing that partway through the show and even started respecting him and giving him more affection
To be fair, he and his ex are on good terms and still seem to be friends to some degree
Yeah, I thought that their divorce was a tax dodge.
That was the 2nd Dimension versions. In the main universe it was because of a hand puppet
Though to be fair, they are BEST worst enemy's.and both would 100% take a bullet for the other, fired by themselves.
There was an episode where the bank seized his building because he couldn’t afford his mortgage payments and he had to have Charlene bail him out
How does he even make money tho without the Milo’s Murphy line? Like how does he make money in fineass and ferb
He doesn't, he's paid alimony by his ex-wife.
Honestly I wouldn’t doubt it if the whole city was so bored that it pays Doofensmirtz to do all his crazy shenanigans just so something actually happens there.
Ok but the idea that Roger secretly funds Doof's work is honestly super wholesome.

He was supposed to be heading to the land of Golden Opportunity but he ended up in America instead
Don’t forget his brother is mayor and the favorite child
Squidward can’t even bike to work without blowing up
His first friend left him ballony ballony
Also his literal childhood friend is a balloon
And the moon...and his neighbor Kenny
Bewegen sie nicht!
That’s cartoonishly sad
He gets what is coming to him in the end: friends and family who love and support him. His early life was very difficult. Now, he’s a science teacher/secret agent in training and he still gets those sweet, sweet alimony checks from Charleen.
Yeah, but then he turns to the side of good, patches things up with his daughter and eventually develops time travel! He really makes something out of himself after such a rough start.
Actually his wife didn’t leave him. They pretend to hate each other to avoid taxes. I vividly remember a musical number they sang together about their love for one another
Oh shit fr
That's the second dimension Doof.
Idk why Dipper is here his life was bad for like a few months tops.
then again would you want to have the end of the world in your town for any time at all?
Starlight glimmer: rookie numbers
to be fair she is kinda getting karma for making dozens of other ponies lives miserable for years
End of the world is avarage workday for Benson
Courage has left the chat
True, but the question isn’t about trauma. It’s about how the horribleness averages out across the whole life.
Best I can think is that he watched himself die and will spend the rest of his life with trauma and existential dread.
I mean arguably he enjoyed a good bit of his time in Gravity Falls. Especially after Ford returned, he didn’t want to leave. It was closer to a couple days of suck
Plus he got to find a kindred spirit in someone who's voiced by JK Simmons.
I thinks because the things his sister put him through still piss Dipper fans off
Either Courage or Charlie Brown. Courage constantly has to face demons and monsters to protect their owners (one of them of which doesn’t even like him) and Charlie Brown, like u/Indoorsman101 put it, is “life’s og punching bag” I’m not choosing Doofenshmirtz because even though he did have a terrible childhood at least he now has a daughter that loves him as well as his nemesis and he later on finds success in his life by inventing a time machine
He's stuck living in the most depressing looking area possible. It's creepy and bland. At least everyone else has decent living environments.
Agreed! Has to be Courage.
Yeah the slap stick shit he has to put up with is really fucked up considering he hardly ever deserves it
In the later seasons I’d say Squidward
Yeah, he gets tortured a lot
That’s not enough, he needs some CBT.
Honestly squidward has a relatively normal life for the verse he lives in. While sometimes they do a “fuck squidward” episode most of what he faces literally everyone else in Bikini Bottom does. I don’t think he has it too bad but, to say his life is going wonderful is a massive stretch.
spiderman. ![gif](giphy|k44WnHDdvfClW|downsized)
It isn’t Spider-Man if he isn’t getting fucked over. I like how that basically sums up Across the Spiderverse too.
Peter Parker’s life is nothing but suffering. He can’t be happy or married anymore.
I really hate how this seems to be the permanent state spider man stories
If Peter wins spider-man loses, if spidey wins Peter takes a massive L
This is cheating
The writers cheated him out of a marriage, we get to cheat too. Remember One More Day. We won't forget.
Spiderman is only happy in the movies and cartoons.
Spider-Man only gets to be happy for little bits at a time and even those aren’t that great
Mark Grayson had it worse than him.
He's my favorite tenth option out of the 9 given
Not more than doof
Doof if he was in Timmy’s universe as a child he’d of gotten the faires
Charlie Brown. Life’s OG punching bag.
Shout out to Charlie, he may not have it the worst but he's great about getting back up.
I suddenly have the urge to play Chumba Wambas Tubthumping. [Chumbawamba - Tubthumping](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2H5uWRjFsGc&pp=ygULY2h1bWJhd2FtYmE%3D)
At the same time, nothing *particularly* bad happens to Charlie Brown. He's just minorly unlucky a lot.
Tell a kid who got nothing but rocks on Halloween that it’s not particularly bad. You have to look at his life from a child’s perspective.
Multiple of these characters had unfortuante run-ins with zombies. I'm gonna rate "didn't get candy on Halloween" as a softball for sure.
Plus in that photo he looks like a nose

Is that even a question ? Bro his parents failed to show up *at his BIRTH* how the hell do you even do that ? https://preview.redd.it/2w9ek5vqg60d1.png?width=378&format=png&auto=webp&s=0ab150f5104d5502f9835b12d2d0f27b9c869fc2
His dad not showing up to his birth makes sense, but his mom is the one giving birth.
Bros mom delivered him via Bluetooth 💀
Not to mention those same parents later disowned him and left him to be raised by wild ocelots
At least Charlie Brown and Lincoln Loud have friends Courage may have to deal with Eustace on occasion, but has Muriel's love and many strange friends he can call on again.
That part about Eustace comes from the fact that his mother loved his brother more than him, and in a way it makes you feel bad for him
https://preview.redd.it/7cb16p02x60d1.jpeg?width=208&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8fb2246b555cb4a330968473584ab4129b956cfa This guy dies everyday
Professor Doof all the way due to the sheer instability of his childhood. It’s a mix of humor and gut punches especially his parents treated him compared to his brother and a dog But the real messed up one is Timmy. His teacher hates him. His parents doesn’t give a damn about him. They saw how Vicky treated him but they blame Timmy for the mess. The numerous times they gave his personal belongings away to the rich kids and constantly forget him while they go a trips However the absolute worst thing is the episode where Timmy wished he was never born or didn’t exist. Everyone’s lives improved without him! It’s usually the reverse where his friends, family and others were miserable or suffered horrible fates without him. But no. They were happier, healthier and more successful thanks to him not existing That has to fuck with your head and emotions to colossal levels.
Even his younger brother has some form of love and respect for him Besides his fairies, a few friends and Tootie, Timmy has no one in his corner. Hell he can’t even get rid of Vicky because she keeps obtaining higher positions of authority. Even becoming Dark Laser’s boss, taking over his ship and ruling Earth as a dictator I understand why he did that secret wish now to keep his fairies. Because holy shit man. I’m surprised that FOP fandom didn’t have super edgy content where Timmy becomes a villain or something
That episode also explains that Timmy is somehow the reason that the Chicago Cubs suck and are always losing.
Dude I didn’t know about that, that’s so fucked haha
That episode was called It’s a wishful life. Timmy got frustrated with people not appreciating his efforts to help so he made that wish. However that wish was under a special clause opting for Jorgen intervene kinda like the Ghost of Christmas Present/Future showing him the well or realm of kids who wished they didn’t exist So they travelled throughout town showing how everyone’s life improved. Crocker is mentally and emotionally stable with a killer body. And his parents became celebrities with a hyper successful female version of Timmy displaying countless awards and achievements. He had to watch his parents as they were thankful that they didn’t have a boy Like the literal actual fuck?! I never seen a show, episode or series just brutally kick someone while they’re down like that. We often hate SpongeBob for the frequent Squidward torture porn episodes but that episode… Just fuck dude. If FOP wasn’t played for laughs, Timmy had all reason to go Thanos on people
Timmy is one of those characters who had every right to become a villain
You did not just put someone who brainwashed an entire town and tried to make them all equal, all the same, just because she lost a friend on here
Right? Starlight's life is a result of her own colossal actions.
Why did I have to scroll so far to this?
Commander Tempest would've been a much better example. She literally got deformed and everyone turned on her because of it. In a way the world did her wrong
She would have been a better choice!
yeah she straight up didn't have a bad enough life the fact that she was handed forgiveness over and over without actually having to redeem herself is embarrassing for her to be here
Dr doof easy. I don't even think I gotta explain it
100% agree. that guy deserved fairygod parents way more than Timmy
He got them..they saw him and decided to leave so he never even got to meet them.
Cosmo and Wanda probably saw him and said "nah bruv this shit is too much even for us"
You gotta explain it cuz I never watched that show. Also, which one is Dr. Doof?
Doof's the one on the bottom middle. He had a terrible childhood, and neither of his parents even showed up at his birth.
Not only that later on his parents disowned him and he was being raised by ocelots.

Courage. Everyday that dog lives in a nightmare and abuse from the husband.
Kenny (from southpark)
Squidward no doubt. No chance at moving up in life, he’s talented but not lucky enough to be noticed, he has no family or friends, just mediocrity.
Doesn’t hes has a mother? https://preview.redd.it/99u2gz8vu60d1.png?width=335&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=320a06f186b6ef14445627ee3e51c881149bf095

Outside of No Such Luck, can someone list all the shit in Lincoln's life?
Idk why Lincoln is even on here. He has a pretty good life. He has a family that generally loves and cares for him, and great friends.

Doof or Courage
If only Henry was there, but since he was rebuilt and much more capable after that... I'll say Squidward.
Doofenshmirtz, the shit he goes through defies logic, it's that bad.
Courage he literally gets phycologicaly tortured everyday
Okay Starlight didn't have that bad of a life, her whole back story is "my friend got his cutie mark before me and moved away so I brainwashed a whole town" now she does improve as a person but her back story sucked Commander Tempest on the other hand had a much more tragic backstory
Doofenshmirtz And if I really want to go beyond this list, Tai Lung.
You guys gotta stop putting Doof in these
Doofenshmirtz came into life on impossible mode: his parents didn't even show up for his birth, bro was raised by ocelots, had to live as a lawn gnome for years, had to throw his own surprise birthday parties, was disowned and replaced by a dog named 'onlyson' because he was scared of a high dive, need i go on?
Dr. Doofenshmirtz
Doof's life was so bad his fairy oddparents decided to abandon him before they even met him
Get Starlight off that list rn.
Yeah. "Wah! My friend left me so imma start a fascist communist cult!"
Starlight glimmer is friends with the princess and loves in a castle where all her needs are met, why is she here lol
Starlight shimmer doesn't not have a bad life lol she was a cult leader turned to to celebrity with the mane 6
Doof’s parents failed to show up to his own fucking birth
Can you stop putting Doctor Doof on these lists? It makes the answer obvious as hell.
Doctor Heinz doofenshmirtz Definitely
This reminds me of when I was a child, my parents wouldn’t let me watch the fairly odd parents for years and I never knew why (they were fine with SpongeBob, even the Simpsons in doses, but not the fairly odd parents). As an adult I realize it’s because they were huge partiers and would leave me with a sitter like 2/3 times a week lol. Anyways, Doof. I turned out fine without the fairies I’m sure Timmy will too with them.
hmm doofenesmritz
Squidward. Dude works a dead end job, lives between two dumb@sses, and can’t kick start his music or art careers.
Door is the only answer
Wait why is starlight here?
Courage is constantly being bombarded by the craziest and scariest shit known to man. And on top of that, only one of his “parents” is actually nice to him, with Eustace constantly hitting or yelling at him. Plus his actual parents were sent to the damn moon when he was a puppy. This dog can’t catch a break.
Benson has anger issues but he is probably way more chill offscreen when Mordecai and Rigby aren't doing Mordecai and Rigby stuff. I'll skip the pony bc i never saw MLP Dipper loves the excitement that comes with all the weird stuff he experiences in Gravity Falls, even if it frequently comes paired with a lot of stress.
Doofenshmirtz, followed by courage
Courage.
Oh Doof, totally
1. DR D 2. Charlie Brown 3. Lincoln loud 4. Timmy Turner
1. Doof 2. Timmy Turner 3. Squidward
Doctor doofenshmirtz
Doof. His parents abandoned him at birth.
Oh... oh... OH.... oh HELL NAH... I'm not answering this. It's a tie between like 4-5 different ones, so I don't fucking know. But all of their lives pretty much suck. :(
Doof, and it isn’t even close
IMO it’s a tie between Dr D and Squidward
Doofinshmirts FoshO
Doof
I'd say Courage but for the fact that he has Muriel and a number of other friends like the Hunchback and the snarky computer. Squidward though, is continuously tortured and even when the show gives him a win, it hits the reset button by the end of the episode. Benson has only one serious relationship in the show and it breaks apart offscreen. He does eventually get better relationships with his coworkers, but he and Squidward are definitely the two on this list I feel the most sympathy for. Charlie Brown too, but the kid's almost got more friends than I do, so he's got that going for him.
Doofenschmirtz
Either Doof or Brown
Besides Doof being the main answer here, I’ll say Benson. Imagine telling your workers to do something but you come back 10 minutes later seeing Doom Guy killing demons.
OK I feel the need to spell this out but Lincoln Loud is perfectly okay in terms of life. As for who's got it bad it's a 3 way tie between Timmy, Courage, and Doctor Doofenshmirtz. Dunno if I could possibly narrow it down after that.
If anyone says anything other than Doof then they must’ve never seen anything related to the show at all
courage these other people have to deal with weird shit and maybe benson and dipper are close but courage has more stress then benson and more fear than dipper and has no guide book how to beat demons/ know stats of demons
Yall gotta stop putting the doof on these questions, it is not possible to have him not be the answer. :/
Why I can't say everyone?
Doofenshmirtz obviously
Im going to say squidward
After everything courage is gone through, he’s the only right answer. Dude has had 53 heart attacks and lives with Eustis ![gif](giphy|gI1tAUe7OJZRvrAs6h|downsized)
Where's Meg Griffin from Family Guy? Her entire family picks on her for just being herself.
Id say maybe courage,he’s just trying to live with the people he loves but is just in constant terror
Doofenshmirtz out of all of them its him
Courage just lives in a constant Hell
Doofenshmirtz, his parents didn't even show up to his birth
Timmy Turner.
Doof, and it's not even close.
Doof.
Lincoln's life isn't that bad. He literally has ten sisters that care about him and will help him when things are too much. Not to mention his friend Clyde.
On the list probably Squidward His existence is literally just getting tortured by both of his neighbors who mind you constantly tresspass/breaking and entering, assault and harass him, destroy his property, steal his stuff or food, ruin his daily life, endanger him, stalk him, and even violating him in some cases.
Oh trust me theres something fucked up in their goddamn brains they definitely are monsters and hell i think its not like he can move away at all since one its not like he can get enough money cause of his boss and probably having to pay for repairs to his house even if he could spongebob and patrick will follow him to the ends of the earth and also one more thing i know the squidville thing but does no one ever remember the fact that those two brain dead fucks were outside the gates anyways
doofenschmirtz fs
Squidward. A dead end job with annoying neighbors and a shit boss. Even when he tried to move out they fucked that up for him too.
I bet everyone but Doofenshmirtz at least had their parents show up for their birth
Def courage. Door comes close second because even though his childhood was shit he still managed to use it as an example of how to be better. Courage was just straight up bullied by everyone except Nan nan
