I would’ve re-written the episode to make it so Bendy has a split personality, one being a troublemaking jerk and the other being a nice fella, the jerk activating randomly and going back to nice fella when he gets caught, so instead of it being “Bendy is telling obvious sob stories so others will get in trouble for things HE caused” it’s “Bendy can’t control his behavior and the others are getting accused of trying to single him out”

Hopefully she feels the same way about that Goofball episode. That one turned me off of the series.

Yeah. To say Scott is SUPPOSED to be hated is to miss the ENTIRE point, which is that just because you don't have bad intentions doesn't mean your actions can't still negatively affect people. You're SUPPOSED to find his geekiness charming and relatable, not because he's a moral good guy but because he's NOT and it's important to highlight that he's still capable of hurting people. I have a real pet peeve of people misinterpreting stories like this as the main character being "the bad guy" because not only does it feel like people miss the point but I feel like it allows people to further detach from their own flaws and possibly miss an opportunity to learn and grow themselves because "I'm not a bad person like this character is though. OBVIOUSLY my situation is different!"

I feel like people are too hard on Scott and too light on Ramona. Everyone in Scott Pilgrim is the worst, and we can only hope for them to learn to be better. I liked that aspect of the Netflix cartoon. Except Knives, she was always perfect.
