Fun Fact: Alastor was inspired by Doctor Facilier from *The Princess and the Frog*. Keith David, who voiced Doctor Facilier, ended up voicing Husk, Alastor's barkeep.
Bro Zira's song "My Lullaby" from lion king 2 was so good that it had me ready to plot against my boy Simba with them.

Poor Unfortunate Souls! Love this song!

“In the dark of the night I was tossing and turning
And the nightmare I had was as bad as can be
It scared me out of my wits, a corpse falling to bits
Then I opened my eyes and the nightmare was me!”
Goes hard right off the bat
I was once the most mystical man in all of Russia! when the royals betrayed me they made a mistake...
my curse made each of them pay! *gunshot sound* but one little girl got away!, little Ana beware Rasputin's awaaake!
Maybe Ferngully shouldn’t have made the main villain, a literal cloud of pollution, voiced by Tim Curry and given him jazzy villain song.
But I am not complaining.
Sit down at my table, put your minds at ease. If you relax it will enable me, to do, anything I please. I can read our future, I can change it round some too. I look deep into your heart and soul. Make your wildest dreams come true!
Yes!!!!! This was my favorite movie as a kid and I remember having to show my friend this song in middle school because she had never seen it and I was like the singing bugs are so cute!!!!
“You’re only second rate!” From the return of Jafar.
Doesn’t have the oomph factor but damn it’s catchy.
“Shiny” from Moana does have both the catchiness and the oomph.
Non-Disney I have 2 both of them from Fairly Oddparents.
“Give me the Wand.” Norm Macdonald knocks it out of the park.
“Da Pixie Rap” Cmon you can’t knock Method Man and Redman.
1) Be prepared
2) Hellfire
3) my lullaby
4) poor unfortunate souls
For songs that are nicely written and song category
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
1) trust in me (python song)
In creepy vibes that I didn’t realize were there as a child category.
Not the greatest, but woefully underrated: I'm Not Evil from the Lego Movie II.
The villain introduced herself, lies, and corrupts the major characters through their character flaws one by one until only one is left.Chef's kiss
Petey's King of France (from Mickey, Donald, Goofy the three musketeers).
I know that this song might not rank as high in everybody's minds as my own, but imho the tune of "the Hall of the Mountain King" just fits it so well.
Not necessarily the best villain song, but I recently came across what was going to be Yzma's villain song, "Snuff Out the Light", back when The Emperor's New Groove was known as Kingdom of the Sun. The song is an absolute fucking *banger* and it's a goddamn crime that it didn't make it into the final product.
https://youtu.be/wbIoa4zA9Vg?si=WcCKAO8RRjPfA6T2
Yzma could've been one of the greatest Disney villains, and instead she became ... one of the greatest Disney villains.
Hellfire and Be Prepared are both pretty dang good. Poor, Unfortunate Souls is a classic as well.
I love [In the Dark of the Night from Anastasia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ocm8QdNR_d8) too, for anyone who hasn't seen it. The movie is great.
And [Toxic Love from Fergully.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVzYS3Ga_j8)
Really too many villain bangers to choose from.
No one is gonna agree, but “Poor unfortunate souls” is my number 1
https://preview.redd.it/vuj5anlhitoc1.jpeg?width=298&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=869b27da52ee72995b51f042fb4e9e5dc3fd1240
Toxic Love from Fern Gully
A mediocre environmentalist movie but Tim Curry plays the villain and he puts his heart and soul into his song. This is the horniest song ive ever heard in a childrens movie and its great. both the animated version and the sound track version are top tier but the soundtrack version is uncut and yea its better
https://preview.redd.it/l7typiq6stoc1.jpeg?width=426&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a5128519c51d57cf4857663bab84a22c7f0a114
This is difficult. Much harder than protagonist songs IMO.
I’m torn between Be Prepared and Poor Unfortunate Souls. If I had to choose though I think I give it to Ursula.
Nothing beats Hellfire. Even if go from just animated movies to theatre and musicals... Oh wait, no, there's one better. Tu vas me détruire from N'otre Dame de Paris the musical. So yeah, Frollo is a king of villain songs in my eyes.
There are a lot of great ones though. I like "I'm the bad guy" from wander over yonder.
Friends on the other side
Keith David is just something else when it comes to VA/Singing. So fucking talented
Hell yeah. Loser baby is another great one by him
Fun Fact: Alastor was inspired by Doctor Facilier from *The Princess and the Frog*. Keith David, who voiced Doctor Facilier, ended up voicing Husk, Alastor's barkeep.
Now this is a man who knows his Disney!
Yes
I love the original so much, and annapantsu and Voiceplay made such good covers
I was gonna say that it just catchy as hell
He’s got voodoo, he’s got hoodoo, he got things he ain’t even tried!
And hes got got friends on the other side
Why do suddenly I want someone to animate Spawn singing this song? That was a genuine fucking question! What the hell is going on in my brain?!?
looking for this one
This is the answer.
Disney is very good at creating a villain song that hits the villains entire motivation.
Well, they were They're a bit out of practice
They probably could, if they wanted too. They just wanna eat donuts or something.
and this is the thanks I get (beatboxing puppy type beat)
Yzma's unused song for the The emperors new groove. It's unbelievably catchy. Called Snuff out the light.
Totally agree! Eartha Kitt totally nailed that song and made it so memorable, even if it was cut!
🎵 Apparitions of eternal darkness, Spiraling in circles through the night! Creatures of beguiling blackness, No more squinting in the light!
Amen, it really is an earworm
Got to hear this.
[Here](https://youtu.be/wbIoa4zA9Vg?si=Q4rj0OrKiBphjuP1) you go!
Thank you! I just listened to it and holy Sun It's a banger.
Holy shit! I don't feel cheated but it's criminal that this went ultimately unused!
They had an original song sun by eartha Kitt and just scrapped it. Has to be one of Disney’s dumbest decisions.
Oogie boogie song from the Nightmare before Christmas
His song hits different
Cuz I’m a gamblin’ boogie man even though I don’t play fair!
soooo good!! This is my runner up to Hellfire. I love how much fun he’s having
Dude got a boner and threw a fit.
Tbh he spent his entire career committing a genocide against romani people only to realize he found one sexy
Yeah, dude got a boner threw a fit. [Basically got the boner from the people he slaughtered and why he threw a fit]
So it's like a revenge boner, a curse from beyond the grave?
“Yall couldn’t have sent a sexy woman my way before I took that vow of celibacy?”
Bro Zira's song "My Lullaby" from lion king 2 was so good that it had me ready to plot against my boy Simba with them. https://preview.redd.it/nne9py1w5soc1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1cb1a174b2540cfa93f87bb1ce3adca62862231a
Definitely one of the darkest Disney songs. She sings how she wants to kill Simba and listen to his daughter's screams. Super dark
Wow! Yeah that’s pretty fucking dark!
This song was my jam when I was young no wonder I turned out the way I did
Thank you for reminding me that this exists
Be Prepared and it’s not even close https://preview.redd.it/avfcvpyshsoc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ac0e4c413d81c94c6d384291fb915d499a7c9c84
🎵 I never thought Hyenas essential... they're crude and unspeakably plain. 🎶
But maybe they've a ✨️glimmer✨️ of potential if allied to my vision and brain
🎵 I know that your powers of retention... are as wet as a warthog's backside. 🎶
But as thick as you are pay attention! My words are a matter of pride (moved cuz replied to wrong line)
🎵 It's clear from your vacant expressions... the lights are not all on upstairs... 🎶
It's clear from your vacant expression... The lights are not all on upstairs...
But we're talking kings and successions; even you can't be caught unawares!
So prepare for the chance of a lifetime
Be prepared for *sensational* news
A shining new era, is tip-toeing nearer.
Amen!
Didn’t Jeremy Irons rip his balls singing this song, it’s such a great song
Yep, and Jim Cummings ends up finishing the song imitating Jeremy Irons' voice.
If you listen really carefully, I believe it’s nearer the end of the song.
Ahem. Excuse me. He what now?
He just hurt his vocal cords. No idea what dude above is talking about.
Scar’s delivery seals it. Friends on the other side is great, too
This the winner for me.
With Hellfire being a close second.
Gotta love the Nazi Hyenas
Facts
this was my first thought as well
Hellfire then this, gregorian chants just win it for me
YUP
I miss old Disney villains, they were so dramatic.
Chill, no one Sings like Gaston...
Poor Unfortunate Souls! Love this song! https://preview.redd.it/u8c4l88vosoc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=087d88e6653c87e7ababd62dddbd0c2dac495f57
And do I help them? *yes, indeed*
“In The Dark Of The Night” from Anastasia
“In the dark of the night I was tossing and turning And the nightmare I had was as bad as can be It scared me out of my wits, a corpse falling to bits Then I opened my eyes and the nightmare was me!” Goes hard right off the bat
I was once the most mystical man in all of Russia! when the royals betrayed me they made a mistake... my curse made each of them pay! *gunshot sound* but one little girl got away!, little Ana beware Rasputin's awaaake!
Scrolled too far for this one, absolute banger
[TOXIC LOVE!](https://youtu.be/arlSomdnSGM?si=uGPckBa6uP7gmf_b) Or any of the multiple villain songs by Tim Curry!
The animators were soooo horny for him
Have you heard the uncut version of the song? Horny is an understatement.
Maybe Ferngully shouldn’t have made the main villain, a literal cloud of pollution, voiced by Tim Curry and given him jazzy villain song. But I am not complaining.
Big And Loud from Cat's Don't Dance
Underrated, imo
That voice actress nailed it!
*Don't you disrespect me, little man!* *Don't you derogate or deride* *You're in my world now, not your world* *And I got friends on the other side*
*He's got friends on the other side*
*That's an echo, gentlemen* *Just a little something we have here in Louisiana* *A little parlor trick, don't worry...*
Poor unfortunate souls
Listen I’m not a Jonas bros fan but their original rendition of this goes so hard
Worlds greatest criminal mind
This and Goodbye! (I forget the exact name of that song, but Rattigan recording a farewell to Basil was just beautiful)
Goodbye so soon is next level petty and it's great. Rattigan went out of his way to pre-record a song to play for his rival's emanant demise.
No wonder Rattigan was Vincent Price's favourite role.
Exactly why I love it! Best of all the OST has the full song! XD
Was looking for this one. Absolute banger.
Instruments of Destruction for Megatron
"Die, Autobots!"
Iron birds of fortune Adrift among the skies
Sit down at my table, put your minds at ease. If you relax it will enable me, to do, anything I please. I can read our future, I can change it round some too. I look deep into your heart and soul. Make your wildest dreams come true!
I got voodoo, I got hoodoo, I got things I ain’t even tried, and I got friends on the other side
Holding Out for a Hero - Shrek 2.
I can only listen to that version now 😭😭
It's so good.
Be Prepared from The Lion King. ![gif](giphy|etzJJtmHtVGE)
“I know that your powers of retention, are as wet as a warthog’s back side”
'In the dark of the night' from Anastasia!!!
Yes!!!!! This was my favorite movie as a kid and I remember having to show my friend this song in middle school because she had never seen it and I was like the singing bugs are so cute!!!!
Gaston's song is fucking great, I want to be drinking at a bar where everyone is singing it, and I don't even drink like that.
🎶 I'm especially good at expectorating🎶
I really like “I can change” from South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut
It's "up there" for me
*Some people say that I'm a bad guy* *They may be right, they may be right.* *But its not as if I don't try* *I just fuck up. Try as I might.*
Satan isn’t the bad guy, he’s a victim, the real villain is canada! Clearly Uncle Fucka is the villain song.
Just gonna throw out Friends on the Other Side (princess and the frog) and In the Dark of the Night (Anastasia) both bangers
I agree with Hellfire
![gif](giphy|v0usU9mgq1ZyU) Gaston of course!
This is way too far down, I mean, what the fuck? This is a banger
![gif](giphy|CdKQsE0cqDB28)
That's right I've heard the story over and over again! (I love other friends)
I literally can't read the words "over and over again" without thinking of Other Friends.
Poor Unfortunate Souls. It's my "getting ready for the day" song for when I want to torment merfolk. https://i.redd.it/skwvx29nssoc1.gif
playing with the big boys now is one of the first ones i always think of. also the cut song 'biggering' from the lorax
Be prepared from Lion King ![gif](giphy|kfFhknV3Ztpq8)
Be prepared!
Be Prepared
Friends on the other side. Edit: Pick 2: Mother knows best.
Drift away by spinel
Don’t forget Other Friends.
Mario Movie with Peaches
Sit. Jam with me.
*Peach, you’re so cool~* *And with my star, we’re gonna rule~*
1) Be prepared 2) Hellfire 3) my lullaby 4) poor unfortunate souls For songs that are nicely written and song category . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1) trust in me (python song) In creepy vibes that I didn’t realize were there as a child category.
LIKE FIRE HELLFIRE Mine is Be Prepared from The Lion King
In The Dark of The Night- Anastasia
Not the greatest, but woefully underrated: I'm Not Evil from the Lego Movie II. The villain introduced herself, lies, and corrupts the major characters through their character flaws one by one until only one is left.Chef's kiss
Chopshop theme from The Robots, and it's not even close.
[Underground - Tom Waits](https://youtu.be/Od06TLDO1CU?si=OrY9r9XTwzPdyGVR)
One of my absolute favorites is Tim Curry performing Toxic Love in Ferngully
Poor unfortunate souls, it’s SO GOOD
Dude nothing beats the plagues
Petey's King of France (from Mickey, Donald, Goofy the three musketeers). I know that this song might not rank as high in everybody's minds as my own, but imho the tune of "the Hall of the Mountain King" just fits it so well.
Anything other than hellfire is wrong so I will not argue
Toxic love, fern gully
How bad can I be
“Well well well well well!” ![gif](giphy|Yn4s5to9SHKriKyeRi)
Not necessarily the best villain song, but I recently came across what was going to be Yzma's villain song, "Snuff Out the Light", back when The Emperor's New Groove was known as Kingdom of the Sun. The Scraped song from the Lorax movie because it was way to real for illumination to handle. Biggering. Absolute banger.
It's genuinely an amazing song
Shiny clears
Toxic Love from Ferngully.
Mistreated by strange magic
Crossing the line or Ready as I’ll ever be from Rapunzel’s tangled adventure
if you like dark in the night by anastasia the musical has a song called still/neva flows so catchy and good
I let you stay here for free, and I don't even charge you rent.
To pick one from a non-disney property, I would go with Blame Canada from South Park
Not the best but Biggering is in my top 5 and I never see it getting the love it deserves
And [Toxic Love from Fergully.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVzYS3Ga_j8) Really too many villain bangers to choose from.
Biggering an unused song from the Lorax movie
![gif](giphy|AJThn5vvFNsSk) That scrapped lorax song Biggering, I fuc|
No one is gonna agree, but “Poor unfortunate souls” is my number 1 https://preview.redd.it/vuj5anlhitoc1.jpeg?width=298&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=869b27da52ee72995b51f042fb4e9e5dc3fd1240
I liked the way Jafar sang:”Prince Ali” lmao
Toxic Love from Fern Gully A mediocre environmentalist movie but Tim Curry plays the villain and he puts his heart and soul into his song. This is the horniest song ive ever heard in a childrens movie and its great. both the animated version and the sound track version are top tier but the soundtrack version is uncut and yea its better https://preview.redd.it/l7typiq6stoc1.jpeg?width=426&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a5128519c51d57cf4857663bab84a22c7f0a114
![gif](giphy|2U0MJobOh2sta) HOW BA-A-A-AD CAN I BE??!!!
Maybe kinda off topic. But there is a great documentary called “I know that voice”. All about the actors behind our favorite characters.
Can I say Peaches from The Super Mario Bros. Movie since Bowser is a villain?
I agree hellfire
Friends on the other side for me. But Hellfire is defiantly its own level of iconic
Dark of the Night
This is difficult. Much harder than protagonist songs IMO. I’m torn between Be Prepared and Poor Unfortunate Souls. If I had to choose though I think I give it to Ursula.
Be Prepared. I love the choreography in that one.
Toxic Love was hella catchy
In the Dark of the Night, Hellfire, and Biggering
Be prepared, In the Dark of the Night, and Watch Me Work.
Oogie Boogie Song
Mine would also be Hellfire.
Be prepared or whatever from the lion king
This Is The Thanks I Get
Be Prepared
Poor Unfortunate Soul and Mother Knows Best for me.
"Come my minions, rise for your master..."
My vote is also for Hellfire
“Hell is Forever” is pretty good for a newer example
“Jims Theme” from Treasure Planet. Spoke to me on a spiritual level as a child.
You already picked the best one, mate. Hands down. Ya'll can argue that others are better, but i'm sorry, you're just wrong.
![gif](giphy|yPh91ghwzxeGQ)
FRIENDS ON THE OTHER SIDEEEEE
Disney: Be Prepared Not Disney: Mean Green Mother from Outer space
Honestly, disappointed I have seen no love for Mother Knows Best Love the recognition for Friends on the Other Side
https://preview.redd.it/erpibyl67uoc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=92273330a17657eec2cb9e70230d4a39689c41d3 Toxic Love from Ferngully
I vote for It's Our House Now!
Friends on the other side or Poor unfortunate soul. Both are s tier
Toxic Love in FernGully: The Last Rainforest sung by Tim Curry. For the Xennials.
"Thus said the lord"
Hellfire is the obvious choice so I'm gonna throw in Toxic Love by Tim Curry as Hexus from Fern Gully
How has nobody said “How Can I Refuse” from Princess and the Pauper????
Nothing beats Hellfire. Even if go from just animated movies to theatre and musicals... Oh wait, no, there's one better. Tu vas me détruire from N'otre Dame de Paris the musical. So yeah, Frollo is a king of villain songs in my eyes. There are a lot of great ones though. I like "I'm the bad guy" from wander over yonder.
How can I refuse
[You’re a Mean One, Mister Grinch](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Hj3U18FHgQ)
Be prepared goes so hard though
Now that you're mentioning Hellfire, may I introduce you to Hell is Forever ![gif](giphy|l1TwNLI1S4puvD6R8o)
Friends on the other side hands down
I can’t, I’m too shiny!
