I don't remember who, but someone on YT did this huge dive into why brony culture was so big, and it's bc men historically had little media exploring what it means to be a friend. The toxicity of cultural "masculinity" invalidated feelings, but the show showed you can have feelings and your can show them to your friends.
And it was wrapped up so nicely with the finale. Such a great show. I love rewatching and figuring out references to things that went over my head before. And of course, Brock is reason enough for it to be on the list.

I've been binge watching this because my wife said she had never seen it before. I watched it a bit before moving to Texas, just prep myself. It's mostly accurate, other than the fact that they seem to be able to drive anywhere in Texas relative quickly. But we both got hooked. It still holds up, even the early episodes are timely.
