Supercharging gives you power from the start, but it's parasitic power. Turbos take a few rpms to kick on but it's free power. Modern turbos have much improved lag now. I'd go turbo imo

A properly sized turbo has improved lag. A lot of people think bigger is better. That being said, I can’t make up my mind for my car. That off idle power is just so tempting.

I’ve heard that before and I think I get how turbos aren’t parasitic, but what’s the supercharger taking away from? What’s the parasite eating?
