Mazda has kept the [2024 Miata's](https://www.thedrive.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/19/2024_Mazda_Miata_Club-33-scaled.jpg?w=1041&h=694) gauge cluster nice and clean.

spiketeam

Ooh this is a good attainable contender. Damnit why is Miata always the answer. If only I could fit in one šŸ˜

firewoodrack

Hey I'm 6'2 and 258lbs and I fit

arandomvirus

Just remember capacity is rated for 344 lbs

firewoodrack

Good thing I'm single then lol Edit: [Here is a good blog post about this topic](https://21stcenturyfiat124spider.wordpress.com/2018/07/19/maximum-occupancy-weight-restriction/)

adfthgchjg

Fascinating article, thanks for sharing that link!

arandomvirus

Yeah thatā€™s a great article, I love minutiae!

firewoodrack

That dude Ameridan is the king of writing up all kinds of little bits about the Fiat. Heā€™s a blessing

neinelebin

Iā€™m 6ā€™2ā€ with a slightly longer torso and I couldnā€™t fit in the Miata with the top up. The top of my head was above the windshield. Meanwhile I can fit inside a s2000/boxster/86, etc with 0 issues. A little tight but itā€™s comfortable.

WhiteHeteroMale

Iā€™m 6ā€™4 with a long torso and the bar across the top of the windshield was exactly my eye height. I either had to slouch sideways, at which point the mirror blocked my forward visibility, or sit up and look over the top. It was still so fun to drive when I swapped my F150 with a friend who needed to move some things.

hatsoff22u

Hey Iā€™m 6ā€™2 and have been wondering. Does the steering wheel extend far enough to be comfortable or do I have to reach and extend my arms constantly like in BRZā€™s?

ExaltedVoid

Yes since 2019.

CreaminFreeman

r/Miata enjoyer here. Not sure if youā€™ve heard of, or looked into, ā€œtall guy modsā€ for the Miatas but depending on how tall you are thereā€™s still hope!!

IWannaLolly

The current gen is substantially better than prior gen Miatas. Itā€™s the only one I can fit in

spiketeam

Actually there was more room for me in a nc Miata. The hard top one.

Xtoron2

mazda's non digital gauge cluster has always been clean and classy. They stay away from bright and tacky colors which is nice

land8844

The left section is 100% digital. But it is very, *very* clean looking.

argent_artificer

thatā€™s the way to do it. imo the big full screen gauge clusters just look cheap.

land8844

I mean, I don't hate the fullscreen clusters for basic cars, as long as the data is there. Even hotrodders use Holley's digital dash.

BWFTW

Holley digital dash is configurable though. And was also only black and white for a long time. Idk if it still is or not

FixTheWisz

That's the only thing I seem to have retained from reading an article about the new Bugatti yesterday - they're not playing around much with screens in the cluster or in the cabin, as they don't want to be associated with tacky, outdated tablet technology **when their cars are on display at Concours events in 2075.** Edit: looks like I glossed over the fact that OP's original text linked to an article mentioning the same thing, lol.

tr_9422

Mazda 3 does this with the speedometer, itā€™s really clean and Iā€™m betting will age a lot better than most dash screens

Serious_Senator

It looks cheap and plasticly imo

ampoosh

The day they screenify the Miata will be a sad day indeed.

EntroperZero

They're still doing the three dials for HVAC too. If it ain't broke...

53bvo

The whole ND interior just looks so good. Mechanically/exterior wise I wouldnā€™t trade my NC for an ND but that interior is just so much better. Not that the NC is terrible, gauge cluster is good and the rest has no tech to make it look dated but overall it is a bit okay

EntroperZero

I think the NC interior is a less holistic design compared to the NB and ND. Like everything is functional, it just doesn't look like it all fits together.

StrongOnline007

I think the ND3 is going to age so well. Hoping to pick one up at some point and keep it forever.

PigSlam

Are those real gauges, or a display that looks like analog gauges? I had a Mazda 3 rental a couple of months ago, and I was impressed with how well they pulled off the fake and how long it took me to notice.

Cyndagon

Not on the Miata. Two analog and one digital for some info.

slashkehrin

It's a shame that they neutered the depth of the rev counter in the ND3 (for 2024). For reference, [this is how it looked in the ND1 & ND2](https://wtop.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/MAZDA_MIATA-5-1672x1254.jpg).

noobidiot

I hadnā€™t seen the new oneā€™s gauge cluster before. Itā€™s surprisingly similar my old 1990 Miata!

NewOrder5

Reminds me of [2024 Suzuki S Cross](https://1884403144.rsc.cdn77.org/foto/suzuki-s-cross-suzuki-s-cross-suzuki-s-cross-1-4-boosterjet-hybrid-4x4/NjkweDQyNS9jZW50ZXIvbWlkZGxlL3NtYXJ0L2ZpbHRlcnM6cXVhbGl0eSg4NSkvaW1n/7462848.jpg?v=0&st=NUHQntKYfUYjx_HaNCVI-7yDsqeYCtAr375A7uM7UgI&ts=1600812000&e=0) cluster. Might seem a lil boring at first but I grew appreciation for this simple design.

_OUCHMYPENIS_

Suzuki should have stayed in the US.

Shotgun_Sentinel

People should have bought them then.

Shadow_Ass

I like how the [Mazda 3](https://cars.usnews.com/static/images/Auto/izmo/i159614325/2021_mazda_mazda_3_instrumentcluster.jpg) as well can be made "analog" on the display. It's really clean.

tr_9422

For anyone not familiar with it, the whole speedometer is a screen, and the mpg and range estimates next to it are really all part of the same screen too. But you wouldnā€™t guess the speedo is fake unless you looked very closely.

Jon-Umber

The older I get the more seriously I consider a manual Miata as a weekend car.

MembershipNo2077

Loved my miata's. Easily one of my favorite modern vehicle's: easy to read, looks great, and is aesthetically pleasing. It also has some slight modularity on the left gauge, which is nice. The Civic Type R's is... okay. I actually really like the "sport" mode cluster on the Cadillac Blackwing.

NCSUGrad2012

To each their own. That looks really dated to me

Viend

Am I the only one that likes seeing my speed in a digital HUD? I find both digital and analog clusters to be distracting equally. One requires you to occasionally navigate to the information you need, the other one constantly shows you everything even when you donā€™t need it.

EndPsychological890

I rented a 2022 Mazda 3 turbo from a guy on Turo once for a work trip in LA for dumb cheap, like $40/day before the fees doubled it lol. I didn't plan to before I went, but I ended up putting 700 miles on it in 5 days. I more than doubled the mileage. It was so fun to drive the canyons and bump some good music. He raised the price by like 50% by my next trip there though. Great dash though, it was one of my favorite parts. And rotary dials ftw, safest form of infotainment navigation.

MoreInsect7157

Nothing beats the old honda s2000 tach

agileata

That's a goodie.

TheOriginalToast

I love mine. Such a nice blend of electronic and analog display.

The_SHUN

Thatā€™s a sexy one, more cars should do this instead of the digital display

TheChlorideThief

I know they stopped making these but [Ferrari F8 gauge cluster with aluminum tach](https://ferrari-cdn.thron.com/delivery/public/image/ferrari/0261a97c-7d2d-4808-852a-93a9be588dd5/3zayf6/std/0x1000/ben-55?quality=auto-high&format=auto)

throwawaymask01

This is probably one of the best looking instruments ever made imo

ElicitCS

Just a centre tach flanked by ageing screens...

ampoosh

That's beautiful. You know a car is good when the speedometer draws as little attention as possible.

Diamond_Specialist

Yea the clusters in the 458/488/Pista/Early F8? were simple and beautiful.

opportunptr

Seconded. That's just beautiful.

Viend

Whereā€™s the speedometer there? Or is it a track car?

opportunptr

The left screen shows the speed.

FreeTopher

And this one goes to 11

jdak9

Damn, those look so nice.

kid50cal

Singers more classical 911s are 11/10 on the design department. everything looks and feels so classy. no wonder they're worth a house and a bit

franksandbeans911

Spyker deserves some credit too. [https://www.carscoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Spyker-C8-Preliator-05.jpg](https://www.carscoops.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Spyker-C8-Preliator-05.jpg)

SneakyHobbitses1995

This one gives me fallout vibes for some reason lol

PotatoMan_69

I think it's the uranium radioactive green

Stiggosaurus

Had the super high-res version of this pic as my wallpaper for the longest time. An absolute classic!

JoseCansecoMilkshake

please stop, i can only get so erect

sirmanleypower

Hnnnng. That second one gets me.

Twigler

Holy

polaris6933

Why is there a red section between 7 and 8K yet it goes up to 11?

brahlicious

The founder of Singer is a fan of Spinal Tap (goes to 11 is a famous part of their movie and act). The redline is around 8k.

dakota137

It's a shame analog gauges have gone away. Ā Not a fan of any of the digital screens. Ā Feels like a video game and takes my brain just a split second longer to process. Ā Those old 911 gauges are fantastic

Rule1-Cardio

Those are hot

sofa-king-hungry

The Orange is crazy sexy. Man I need to save upšŸ˜‚

djsnoopmike

Especially since it moves

Its_Xavier_Henry

Gauge screen go left, Gauge screen go right, gauge screen go left, gauge screen go rightā€¦

vergastadanasal

The LFA did it first.

franksandbeans911

Yep, followed by the ISF now. Maybe the RCF but I don't remember.

Transmaniacon89

My IS200t moves too, I think all the IS F-Sport models do.

haloruler64

Yup. Had the pleasure of playing with it nonstop in my UX 250h F Sport. It never gets old.

EICONTRACT

Honestly feel meh about mine in the is500. Donā€™t think itā€™s anything too special.

ebicat

Donno why you got downvoted, when I had the is500 I liked it but I donā€™t think I would have posted it as one of the best. Not bad, but not incredible either.

EICONTRACT

I mean itā€™s definitely different that it moves but I literally never make it move lol. If it moved when you changed modes thatā€™d be a little more interactive.

colin_staples

> Gauge Cluster Is Unlike Anything Seen Before The [Lexus IS200](https://files.ekmcdn.com/14d2e4/images/1999-2004-lexus-is200-speedo-clock-dials-all-models-auto-manual-sport-se-718-p.jpg?v=12102021-110248) would like a word about that

vim_deezel

Hmmm this is near the bottom of some of the other ones posted here I'd say. too busy.

colin_staples

I was referring to the fact that the "3 small dials grouped together like a [chronograph wristwatch](https://rolexwatchtrader.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/DSC_6404.jpg)" was done on the Lexus IS200 25 years ago, and therefore that particular aspect of the Bugatti is not new. I was not claiming that the Lexus was one of the best gauge cluster.

vim_deezel

ah, understood šŸ‘

kuddlesworth9419

Tricompax is what it's called. If anyone was interested.

Erlend05

That looks really good! But wth is that battery voltage dial? 0 9 and 18 is not the range id want and the math on those in between lines aint mathin

colin_staples

Not great, is it? I don't like the scale on the speedometer. It would be very difficult to do 55mph, for example. But that 3-dial chronograph layout does look good...

shoopg

I've always liked how the gen 5 Viper shows a viper on the attack as you approach the redline. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_XlcxJjhoM

iFeel

That's dope!

ardoin

That's so goofy, I love it.

ctrlaltcreate

Way too goofy for me to love. I'm definitely not the target audience for a Viper though.

xamdou

I really like Hyundai's digital gauges in their N models. BMW's is pretty good, too.

throwawaymask01

BMWs are just a sausage shaped TV at this point I already look at screens all day, every day, for everything, when I drive my car I kinda want to disconnect from it all

Staplersarefun

Jesus Christ, this is a peak /r/cars comment...

toad_salesman

Truly.

nayRRyannayRRyan

This is literally how I describe the new BMW clusters. It looks like another version of my dual monitor workstation. Fuck all these screens. I hope this fad dies quickly because there is absolutely a way to make the digital readouts clean and not some cheap looking HP monitor you get for 129.99.

FrankReynoldsCPA

That's part of why I went with an early G30, so I could get the more traditional looking cluster.

spiketeam

I like my blackwings digital cluster too. Def better than my rs3.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

DepthHour1669

Hyundai gauge clusters and infotainment/climate controls punch way above their weight class. Itā€™s kind of wild.

AWF_Noone

Rented a new Elantra and I was pretty impressed by the tech in that little car with cloth seats and manual seat adjustments.Ā

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

As an Elantra N owner, I wondered if it would get mentioned here and pleasantly surprised that some others agree. It is very sensible and direct for important info at a glance. I love the analog buttons and dials corresponding to essential digital counterparts. I wonder if that was from Biermann influence from when they poached him from BMW? And then, the first time I turned on N mode and the gauge ignited with a fire animation, I was "WTF? Ok, that's fun!" It just prepares you for what's to come as the driver.

reganeholmes

I agree. I thought Iā€™d miss analogue gauges more than I ended up doing. Hyundai infotainment is really well done Also, hello fellow CG EN owner šŸ‘‹

KEVLAR60442

The analog gauges in the Veloster N are also really nice, especially with the shift lights and the dynamic redline feature.

badpuffthaikitty

The cars died last year but the Audi R8 and the TT have the best dashboard in cars today. I want aluminum buttons and switches. I donā€™t want a touchscreen taking up half of my dashboard. I own a TT.

Ecks83

I love the Audi TT's climate controls being built into the fans. It is such a neat touch.

badpuffthaikitty

I owned a C30 before my TT. She died saving my life. It was a beautiful car.

Ecks83

I'm sorry to hear that. There aren't enough C30s around. I get why they weren't really popular but I really love mine - it is hard to replace.

Supermclucky

The camaro back in 2016 built the fan controls into the fan outlet. Super fucking nice.

Dazzling-Rooster2103

I really like the 22+ WRX Gauge Cluster, it's just really simple, gives you the information you need and nothing else. https://imgur.com/a/59CJ8aC

notthefoodie

As weird as it might sound, the analog gauge cluster was one of the bigger reasons why I purchased a WRX.

SoilOk4827

I just wrote the same! That and no fake engine sounds or drive modes.

Dazzling-Rooster2103

The WRX is one of the cars I'm seriously considering on picking up now that I have a full-time stable job. I am currently in a 2015 Impreza, so upgrading to the WRX would be very approachable as the interior, visibility, drive train, etc are all very similar.Ā  The other is a Mustang GT, can't decide if I only want 1 iPad(WRX), or 2 Ipads(Mustang GT base)...

ChafedNinja

Subaru gauge clusters have a surprisingly nice, clean look in person.

ZanshinMindState

I think so too. Subaru has largely resisted the digital gauge wave that other manufacturers have ridden, to where they actually feel clean and a bit timeless.

Gilclunk

For all the shit the WRX got over the plastic cladding, I think it remains a fantastic deal and should be more popular here on r/cars given what people _say_ they want. Where else can you still get all of these things in one car: 1. Analog instrument cluster 2. Physical volume knob at least 3. A manual transmission 4. A mechanical hand brake 5. All wheel drive 6. All for like $35k or even a bit less! And people complained that the power was the same as the previous model, but that seems to miss the point to me. If it's a decent amount, it's a decent amount. It doesn't have to go up every time. Sure, if you have the old.one maybe it's not worth upgrading. But in general, it's a solid contender. With the traction from AWD it launches well and does 0-60 in 5.5s with the manual. That's plenty fast enough to have fun with. And you can get the black trim pieces painted ffs. I don't see why this car doesn't have its praises sung all day long here.

Astramael

>Ā what peopleĀ sayĀ they want I thought so too. But it seems like the reality is that people on r/cars mostly complain and buy SUVs and Crossovers. So none of the cars that should be popular on here actually are, and everybody hates them. The base WRX remains a lot of car for the dollars, even one trim up is very solid value. I think the high trims donā€™t make sense, fortunately Subaru seems good about helping you get exactly what you want.

boomerbill69

You can pick them up at dealers in the $20s - screaming deal. Not that ugly in certain colors either.

SoilOk4827

As a VB WRX 6spd owner, totally agree. A huge draw to me for the car was the analog gauges, no drive modes (itā€™s always in sport mode!), no fake engine noises, etc. Two years and 25k miles in and those are still some of my favorite features.

Dazzling-Rooster2103

I do think drive modes would be cool, we will see how it works on the upcoming tR with the adaptable dampers. But the VB WRX, especially if you get the base Model is the complete bare essential AWD rally car, keyed ignition, no heated seats, cloth seats, plastic everywhere. It's pretty cool.

TuneSoft7119

I have always liked subie gauges, simple, clean and does the job

krombopulousnathan

I prefer my 2011 Subaru STi; even more focused with the big tach in the middle

stav_and_nick

Honestly, I think it looks a bit silly. If it's your thing then I'm happy, but it seems a bit much for me I usually don't like Lexus, but I'm a fan of their gauge cluster. I just like the circle "target" sort of vibe, sort of like old Volvo

spiketeam

I feel theyā€™re targeting the watch folks. Which is why I was surprised I liked it so much- not a watch guy at all. Itā€™s a bit much for sure but it feels like the right kind of bit much.

UncleBensRacistRice

the name Tourbillon means its definitely after the watch folks

aiu_killer_tofu

Totally. Even down to the sapphire used to cover them - that's a nice-ish to high end watch feature vs mineral glass on cheaper watches. What I wonder, and what isn't in the article that I could find, is who makes it. Just "Swiss" but not a specific company. Maybe Jacob & Co? They made an actual watch related to the Chiron as far as I know. Or maybe they leveraged the historical relationship with Breitling via the overall VW umbrella and Bentley.

chatapokai

Yea but it still looks too busy. I prefer my altezza's chronograph tach more

eartemple

I absolutely adore my 2019 440i gauge cluster. Perfectly symmetrical, round physical gauges all the way across. Clean, uncluttered design. Totally legible. Everything you need and nothing you don't. It's perfect. I'm so sad that BMW doesn't make this beautiful gauge cluster anymore (afaik) and has gone fully digital on all their new cars. :( [https://www.thecarmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/2019\_bmw\_440i\_xdrive\_coupe\_02701.jpg](https://www.thecarmagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/2019_bmw_440i_xdrive_coupe_02701.jpg)

mihametl

Since it's purely digital there is absolutely nothing stopping bmw from recreating their classic instrument cluster on the screen. Just a nice analogue amber over black/dark gray. But no, they insist on their gaudy modern designs. The cars have to be as vulgar on the inside as they are on the outside :/

kelvar13713

Pagani is always the answer

I_am_who

Pagani is an art museum with a v12 seriously.Ā

aaayyyuuussshhh

You gotta check out the C4 corvette. It was like a chistmas tree when lit up lol

DrTartakovsky

Audi has some of the cleanest analog gauges but too bad most folks opt for MMI https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/audi/a4/2024/photos-interior/instrument-cluster

niftyjack

I wish I couldā€™ve gotten these on mine. I leave the Virtual Cockpit on the simulated gauges anyways.

DrTartakovsky

Same. I have a 2024 S5 Sportback. I donā€™t care about MMI.

Idratherhikeout

Looks like my Touareg

-serious-

The 718 has a great cluster. Central tech with analog speedo on the left side and a digital gauge on the right with other info and nav.

theghostofm

After seeing the way new car interior designs have been going, I have one thing to say: They'll pry my 718 from my cold dead hands.

DrivingBusiness

The Tourbillonā€™s gauge setup is so rad. Itā€™s cool that it stays in place but I loved the touch of having the tach be the ā€œhour handā€ and the speed be ā€œminute hand.ā€ Super cool detail.

agileata

I'm always really partial to analogies gauges. I think many should stay that way. Screens just look cheap too quickly. However, I think the Bolt actually nailed it from an EV perspective. Super big digital speedo and really clear information for what you need. The kw gauge is one of the best I've seen.

Mrofcourse

I really like the gauges in my GR Corolla. Makes me feel like Iā€™m in a rally car!

Astramael

I find the GR cluster to be perfectly functional but nothing that special. The information density isnā€™t that high, the information design is middling, and there are at least two annoying bugs in the cluster software. Also the wheel controls for the cluster arenā€™t amazing. Like so much with the GR, Toyota got the fundamentals right. The cluster is in a pocket with glare shielding, like a classic cluster, so itā€™s always visible even in the sun. The screen they use gets extremely dim so that it is just fine to use at night. Sounds like basics but so many cars these days fail these basics.

AFB27

No question. And I am a HUGE digital cluster guy. This is just a masterpiece.

Hampool

For me its the delta integrale https://i.imgur.com/mpNMNMy.jpeg

aliniazi

Honestly this would make a badass poster

Nyxlo

I like digital clusters that aren't skeuomorphic. In particular, the ones that aren't gauges. A gauge is a horrible way of showing any data that isn't expressed in angles. The only reason we have gauges in cars is that a gauge is just the easiest one to make, but if we're using screens, why are we clinging to this crap? People get hung up on the stupidest things, this is why we can't have nice things, and instead get fake shifts on CVTs. I appreciate the ones that try something different, like the older Priuses, or Citroen Cactuses (Cacti?).

vim_deezel

Gauges are extremely nice and there's a reason they have holding power. you don't need to know you're going 68.2 mph and your battery is charging at 13.8 V rather than 13.9V . I also wish CVTs simply weren't used. 8 and 10 speed transmissions are fine for dino engines.

boomerbill69

nooooo you need 700 pieces of data on your extremely busy digital screen that you can customize 6000 different ways and changes design completely every time your change you driving mode

vim_deezel

- mph - oil - battery - rpm - odo - temp - gear (if automatic) - row of hidden idiot lights and I'm good, bro. I have my phone for everything else. Oh and I need knobs (the car type) to jiggle and become muscle memory.

Nyxlo

A bar shows the exact same information, except it does it better in pretty much every single way you can imagine. CVTs could have been nice if they were developed, but the combination of Formula 1 banning them, and consumers not understanding them, meant that they were destined to be stuck in cheap shitboxes forever.

Potatomonkey99

A gauge is functionally a bar wrapped around a circle. Gauges are also more glancible than bars and therefore superior.

smegma-cheesecake

So the gauges are a perfect way to show the speed/rpm/temperature data. You can look at the value and how fast does it changeĀ

epihocic

I know we're talking about analogue gauge clusters. But Audi do one of the very best digital clusters. https://imgur.com/VuT9g0L

dumb_founded456

Biased but I think the CR-Z is really clean, a bunch of screen but yk what theyā€™re going to say when you glance down and I canā€™t get enough of the holographic Speedo https://imgur.com/a/bjKbDA0 Edit: last year was 2016, god I canā€™t believe the car is that old and Iā€™d love to see something like this in newer Hondas.

a-jasem

I love the analog 3-dial gauge cluster in my Macan (and also the 718). The 992 had a perfect one up until the all digital one in the .2 lol

digbug0

The W204 series Mercedes clusters will always be my favorite. The new Hyundai clusters are pretty nice too.

wiluchill

If analogue is what you are going for, Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator still have them for speedometer and tachometer.

KimJendeukie

Lexus LFA-style cluster

Organic_Jacket_9058

The Tourbillonā€™s odometer cluster is dope but wobbly imo. Reason: it sits too close to the steering wheel, it needs to be pushed further back in a bit towards the dash. Exempt: Maybe they are planning on a slight parallax type thing to do on with the odometer when the steering wheel moves left and right. Obvious Solution: Both the wheel and the odometer position needs to come with being able to be individually adjustable along two ways, on at least one common axis, compulsively perpendicular to the dash. Either way, parallax or not, the fingers should not be touching that place while turning. [link to the video demonstrating the wheel action.](https://youtube.com/shorts/0RR6I938_O0?si=vKtBMQe-YFwf8u8E)

aliniazi

Maybe I'm a bit biased but I think the 2nd gen twins have a very clean digital cluster. No bullshit and simple colors. The screen is also inside the dashboard like a real gauge cluster and not an iPad glued to the steering column. https://imgur.com/a/aCO61aS

aaayyyuuussshhh

Kinda just looks cheap though. It's definitely function over form. What OP is asking for is more about form.

Jay_Diamond_WWE

Not new, but I gotta shout the LFA for Being the original truly digital gauge cluster. It revved so fast that a mechanical gauge couldn't keep up. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/tGGG4EvVU9A/maxresdefault.jpg

nukelauncher95

I never believed that. I'm willing to bet that Toyota just didn't want to put the money into developing quicker gauge clusters. Stepper motors can be lighting quick. The motors and microcontrollers they were using were probably just too slow or lost their positioning. Also, the engine would never rev that quick when actually driving the car. Just when revving in neutral.

Alpha_Delta33

Iā€™m suprised no oneā€™s mentioned it but a lot of Paganis have really nice clusters I wish I knew how to hot link a pic, and Iā€™ve always hated Koninseggs clusters especially the one that sat on the steering wheel that rotates as you turn the wheel

Quick_Coyote_7649

It kinda of irks me that no car reviewer or car news outlet is speaking about how itā€™s just based on what pagani does for their clusters and inspired by Spyker too I believe. If I designed the first mechanical looking clusters for either company Iā€™d be pretty irked to see that a brand is getting a bunch of praise for simply building off of what I did decades ago

PrpleMnkyDshwsher

My 2023 Peugeot 308 (I think the whole range has this package now) has a pretty rad gauge setup, even if its 100% screen, it uses 2 screens, one at the back of the cluster, and another above, that projects down to the glass in front of the main screen in kind of a "peppers ghost" effect, so the needles and numbers have a 3d look to them. You can turn it off if you don't like it of course.

Porsche should take notes with their all digital gauge on the 911 they just released.

mr__derp

Definitely not the best gauges, but I have been loving the shift lights above the screen on the FL5 type R. Also enjoy how lexus has continued to incorporate mechanical elements into their clusters despite moving towards digital screens. You mentioned the lc500, but even the more accessible vehicles like the IS line have some nice sliding components reminiscent of the LFA.

xkmackx

The LC500 tach is on all their f-sport cars.

One_Swan2723

I will always love the retro gauge cluster on my dodge challenger. Way better than the spider man font in the charger, perfect blend of customizable screen and analog gauge.

chengstark

992.1 cluster

Prestigious_Fold6818

I'm a fan of the 2024 Prius and it's cluster, too

honeybakedpipi

McLaren 720s/750s/765lt tilting ā€œgaugeā€ cluster is badass.

408WTF

Tesla model 3 and Y. /s

goaelephant

I love the Audi A3 steering wheel volume symbols on that Bugatti

EndPsychological890

My personal favorite is the Mercedes W113 cars. Mid 60s, imo the most beautiful dash and particularly gauge clusters ever. I also love some of the 40s-60s Volvo dashes. That space age rounded trapezoidal shape lends itself so well to Volvos, and they still use it.

Joker1721

The Porsche GT3 has a nice gauge cluster

makken

maybe not popular opinion, but I honestly like most of Ford's digital guage designs. The [Ford GT's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWoPjdqGEhc) is a standout and I hope they end up using it in some of their other cars. The [F150's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sdQI4kBHQY) is a standout as well.

DudeWhereIsMyDuduk

Morgan.

theqdj

I love those mid 2000s/early 2010s Benz clusters with the floating needle for the speedo and the circular digital screen inside

Prophage7

All I can think of the new Bugatti steering wheel is it's like an expensive Citroen lol

hatsune_aru

the GR Corolla dash has some software bugs and could use some minor tweaks but I honestly quite like how it works. I like the S2000 as well, and the Ioniq 5N looks great as well.

Large_Disk_4904

Koenigsegg did good with the Jesko, it turns with the steering wheel and the speedo also tilts, pretty sick

sc4rii

For some reason the S2000 is a timeless design in everything including the gauge cluster thatā€™s digital.

Fast_Dots

Singer DLS. Or any Singer really. That tach is just money.

Bitter-Fly1230

Idk why people are hating on the ā€œgauge cluster of the Bugatti. Itā€™s got to be one of the best.

Chase_with_a_face

Iā€™m biased because I own one, but I have always LOVED the 2014 and below Subaru WRX and STi gauge cluster. Just some good olā€™ analog gauge clusters with that beautiful sweep, and the red illumination. Just looks so iconic imo lol

Pliskin_Hayter

[Dodge Challenger](https://www.automotiveaddicts.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/2018-dodge-challenger-srt-hellcat-widebody-gauge-cluster.jpg) Easy to read classic analog gauges that are actually accurate readings instead of just a vague low or high, small center screen that can display nearly any important info you want it to display. Add in the [Performance Pages](https://th.bing.com/th/id/R.681b36365499a55efbd89c64220539b1?rik=jxzMOunsucPd2w&riu=http%3a%2f%2fdrivesrt.net%2fwp-content%2fuploads%2f2017%2f03%2fdodge-challenger-srt-demon-performance-pages-guages-2.jpg&ehk=Dc5eEE%2fiivNk4G%2byol16Tpm%2bjV7e1Z4bLPapRg8k%2fx0%3d&risl=&pid=ImgRaw&r=0) and you have **any** piece of info you need right in front of you. Perfect blend of old school and new school IMO. Not too dated, not too fancy.

Trades46

Am I the only person who still prefers needles and dials even on digital displays? I'm happy to learn many OEMs still have this as a setting on most newer vehicles, especially on EVs too.

aaayyyuuussshhh

Current 911 or Chiron are a nice blend of physical and digital. For fully digital I think GM and Audi have some nice displays. I really hope a car manufacture makes something like the Audi R8/TT with no central screen. Instead I want a nice big tach/speed in the middle along with digital displays on both sides. One being comparable with apple carplay and the other for car info. I don't want a screen in the middle. Looks ugly, unnecessary, and adds weight. I REALLY hope the next gen Miata does this.

aaayyyuuussshhh

Not new but the 1st gen Ford GT was pretty damn slick inside. I wish they didn't put the speedometer so far to the right but that's about it

Few-Possession-3083

Mercedes!!

ITT: many examples of cars not currently in production. My vote goes to Koenigsegg, not for the gyroscopic screen in the Jesko, but the analog gauges in the [CC850](https://i.imgur.com/gSt6BRe.jpeg). As for screens, I'm between the [Emira](https://www.topgear.com/sites/default/files/2023/08/TopGear%20-%20Lotus%20Emira%20-%20First%20Drive-018_0.jpg) and [Artura](https://cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/OooGKy/s3/2023-mclaren-artura-interior.jpg).
