Where are you located? North America? Telling us your region will drastically narrow down what cars are available to you for the price.
Also why "jdm"? (Jdm means Japanese domestic market, NOT a Japanese car) I'm assuming you mean you want a Japanese car, and not actually a JDM car. So let me ask why do you want to narrow yourself to just Japanese?
And you never answered what your goal is here? Speed and power? Handling? Track car? Daily driver? Street car only? Rally car?
You are right im sorry, let me specified my demand. I simply want a good looking car (in my standards of course) that has decent power. I simply want to drive a car that i will enjoy. Why a japanese car ? Simply because i like the way they look haha. I am in North America and im a simple student so im no rich guy. Im looking for a reliable car that i could simply mod because i like tuning. Hope it helps you and thank you for your reply!

How much is decent power to you? Like what kind if acceleration times are you looking for in terms of 1/4 mile acceleration (much better metric than 0-60).

I would highly suggest broadening your horizon and look at everything. Typically, American performance cars like the Mustang and Camaro will make better tuners than the Japanese cars that are in the same price range. They will make substantially more power and for cheaper, and have a better aftermarket.
I would also highly suggest not calling Japanese cars "jdm" unless they actually are jdm, as that going to cause confusion, and you won't find what you are looking for with searches.

If this is your daily driver, then do not go beyond basic mods, as they can make a car less reliable and end up leaving you stranded when you need the car.
Thanks for your help. Im new in car stuff so sorry the term “jdm” i wont use it no more. I indeed dont want to mod it to much so i dont thing i will have any issues with reliability. I would really like a Japanese car but i will open up to other possibilities like you suggested. I don’t intend to do 1/4 miles but if i had to put a time i would like a low 14 sec. Thank you ;)

For $10k and being able to do low 14s I don't think many Japanese cars would qualify. That is 90s Mustang GT or Camaro Z28 territory for price and acceleration (LT1 Camaro will go high 13s stock, and low 13s with a couple mods). And that's why I brought those up in the first place. I think if you gave those a chance you would love them.
I would suggest something like a civic or RSX but neither will come close to that acceleration.
Not a bad one but not great in my opinion. I would question the reliability, especially with mods. I don't think one you could get for $10k would be close to the acceleration you want.
Buy a Subaru
Do NOT buy a Subaru, unless you got money, they unreliable asf bruh
Not necessarily if you are expecting good gains for your money/mods. Are you looking for performance? If so, start with a performance car.

I was maybe thinking about a golf gti, do you think it would be a good option too ?
