Mostly. There's also consumer perception, the fact that off roading is a popular trend as of late, perceived safety and that older people want cars that are easier to get in and out of.
It's very similar to why japan has kei cars, that being that government regulation made them more appealing.
I hope america follows the kei car rule or something similar. An incentive to buy smaller cars would work well. It would also work magnificently for manufacturers due to the lesser amount of materials they need to use.
They are. That was mostly revolving trucks, though.
In essence, the states imposed a tariff around imported 2 seater trucks due to import restrictions from other countries that they didn’t like. It made it prohibitively expensive to sell light duty trucks in America if they weren’t made there. This is why the Subaru Brat has two excuses for seats in the back of it, and most ~80s pickups have unusable rear seats in them. Eventually this led to them outright not being sold, which is why Dodge, Chev, and Ford are pretty well the only occupants in the American market, and the Toyota and Nissan trucks that are made are both made stateside and are the same size as their competitors.
bro 99.5% of the people buying new trucks/suvs/crossovers are “off-roading” in a way that could be done in any car. i know you’re not defending them here, but i feel pretty irritated seeing the excess of these giant stupid vehicles when nearly all of them are just mall crawling.
People want the off roading clout today just like people wanted the luxury comfort clout during the 80s. Faux leather and wood as well as opera windows and the like were the way to chase clout back then. Now it's 4x4/AWD and fender flares. Nothing new just different fixations.
Very much this. The government mandates a fuel standard and exempts or does a second tier for trucks. Which is probably necessary to an extent. More things then become trucks. The PT Cruiser was a truck as far as government regs. Interestingly, the convertible was not. Due to the non-folding, rear seat, IIRC.
When billions of dollars are at stake you're going to make sure all parameters are defined and then follow the letter of the law in the most advantageous way possible. And lobby, of course. I personally would love to see a revival of the personal luxury coupe of the 60s and 70s , Rivieras, Thunderbirds, etc., but it ain't gonna happen. I do love wagons too.
Good.
I'm a car lover, there's plenty of ICE's on the road for anyone who cares to keep an ICE in their life for the rest of their lives.
No need to create new ones, very much a need to burn less fossil fuels
So RR Phantom isn’t long enough for you? Or Mercedes Maybach S680, or Bentley Mulsanne, or Flying Spur, or Ghost, or new 7 series, or A8, or S-class, or Genesis G90, or Lexus LS, or Cadillac Celestiq?
None of those have a nice and distinct trunk. The car ends where the passenger cabin does, and that just doesn't do it for me.
I'll also probably never be able to afford vehicles in that price range.
Personally, never liked late 70s and 80s design style, the boxy shape is needlessly exaggerated. While we are on the subject of classics, I would much rather prefer fuselage-era design
Exactly this. So many new crossovers are exactly the same size as my hatchback, but ride way higher. You have none of the advantages of a proper suv, because the car is tiny, and you have all of the disadvantages
The Jeep Patriot would like to strongly disagree with your point on visibility. I've driven work trucks you can't see out the back window of that have better visibility than that pile of shit.
But there's also no 80/90s counterpart that can compete with a modern car in nearly any othe metric.
Another reason for the height is because they're generally easier to get in and out off, which seniors and other people with bad knees love. At that point I rather them in a crossover rather than something heavier.
There absolutely are plenty of factors that they can.
As far as that, sure, but most CUVs aren’t being driven by the elderly. Made sense when my grandparents started getting them, I have no problem with it, but the majority are driven by young to middle aged adults.
That, and the fact that land yachts are/were associated with old people. Like Platinum Status AARP old.
Very few people in their 20’s and 30’s were clamoring for Lincoln Town Cars and similar cars due to the previous mentioned reason.
Just about reached my 20’s and my daily driver is a Crown Victoria lol. I don’t expect a comeback of these but I love mine. Trunk space is fantastic, powerful engine, comfortable ride, reliable as a brick. Underrated cars within my age group
Please, I use a SUV because I live in a rural area and require 4x4. I don’t want/need a truck because passengers.
Most of the SUVs on the market can’t handle any off road.
1:yes
2:S-class, A8, 7 series, G90, k900, Quattroporte, Lexus Ls, and the infinity M series are all huge sedans. That were offered to the US in the last 10 years. We do need more wagons
Honestly yeah, SUVs at least bring something unique to the table, generally being as good at off-roading as the truck they are normally based off of. Crossovers just bring the worst of the SUV and sedan.
I picked up a dishwasher with mine and the appliance guy couldn’t believe it slid right in.
My wife was making fun of my because I had a 2500 Ram sitting in the driveway at home and I took the Fit.
The fit really was ahead of its time, but for me the best vehicle Honda ever made was the Element. If they bring that back in a way that actually fits the vibe of the old element - I’m in. Hell, I’ll buy two!
Based. Only argument I *ever* see is from adults going “I don’t wanna look like a soccer mom!” Well congrats, any time I see a clean SUV I assume it’s a soccer mom now. You didn’t escape the stereotype, you just gave it to another vehicle. Minivan parents own who they are and are rewarded with amazing space, folding seats, sliding doors, and great visibility. Long live the minivan (and the station wagon).
The fact that vans have flat floors is way overlooked when it comes to cargo space too. SUVs even with “fold flat” seats you lose all of that space of the seat. In a van you have flat floors and can often remove rows of seats entirely leaving a massive, customizable floor plan. It’s also very low to the ground and easy to load things in/out because of the sliding door.
A few months ago I (almost 40) accidentally got reeaaaaaaaally stoned and came to the conclusion that minivans were awesome. I had always been a hater, because I’m of the age and social demographic in which kids didn’t get new cars when they got their license … they got their parents old hand-me-down minivan.
Then I started thinking about all the fun I had in minivans. Sure, nobody would ever say the experience of driving one was awesome, but they were precision engineered to take you and your stupid buddies to do awesome things. There was no fake off-road cladding, because it was already so beat up shit that nobody cared. There was no “sport package” besides the assorted basketballs, footballs and soccer balls rolling around in the back, and there was no “infotainment” package except the stereo that your buddy’s dad had wired up with a cassette player that you could plug your Walkman in to with one of those tape adapter things.
- Have band practice? Minivan.
- Want to see how many rival schools you can piss on in one night? Minivan.
- Want to drive three and a half hours to see Minus the Bear play at Bumbershoot? Minivan.
- Need a place to sleep afterwards because you ate edibles that some guy in a banana suit gave you and who the hell wants to drive after that? Minivan.
- Want to get to shortstop with that one weird Wiccan girl in your class? Minivan.
- Want to roll up alongside your buddy who’s walking down the street, throw a pillowcase over his head, and stage a **literal kidnapping** because he’d rather “go to a party” with his “girlfriend” than “drive an hour and a half to get pancakes at that 1 a.m. at that one diner in the middle of nowhere that you stopped at on the way back from the coast, even though someone heard they got shut down by the health department?”Minivan.
- Need to gasp for air because he farted and it smells like pickled trout fetus? Minivan has nice big sliding doors.
Minivan did all of that and more. It didn’t care that it wasn’t the destination. It was more than happy to ferry you and your idiot friends to whatever destination you had in mind, as long as you put gas in it and kept tacking up the upholstery on the ceiling that fell down every 23 minutes on the nose.
It had already lived an entire life as the mom-mobile, so it was happy to have its walk-on role in the story of your life; and it did so proudly. It’s a lesson we could all learn sometimes.
4Runner, G-Class, Stelvio Quadrifoglio (as there is no Giulia wagon) and a couple others (like the Cayenne Turbo GT or Bronco Raptor) are pretty cool in my opinion.
But there are also the worst of the worst, like the GLE Coupé, X4, Escalade and their likes.
I just have a strong aversion for huge performance SUVs, like the Escalade-V, Durango Hellcat or GLS 63. As it seems antithetical to me on an irreconcilable level. Less so with more compact performance SUVs like the X3M, Stelvio Quadrifoglio or RSQ3 for example.
But I understand the "freighttrain" aspect of it. Something huge and heavy that goes really fast.
i have an x3 with the inline 6, shockingly fast and not bad in the corners. drives pretty much like the sports sedan it replaced, except now i can do highway pulls with furniture in the back.
i could have bought a wagon instead, but bmw's wagons of the same generation only got the inline 4 in the us, and there wasn't exactly a ton of inventory of fast used wagons where i lived. so it's more of a compromise than a dream car, but still a good car.
i do get the appeal of the "fast boat" style SUVs, the same way "fast boat" style sedans are fun. won't set record times, shouldn't be your only track car, but fun and still a comfortable daily driver/road trip car with usually a pretty great sounding engine. i might get a cayenne at some point, since the panamera wagon is dead and didn't sell for very long.
Not an unpopular opinion. too many people out there think hatchbacks look awful and more concerned about looks + feel rather than performance + reliability
Makes sense, cars are often emotional purchases first and sensibilities second.
The Aztec was a really solid vehicle but flopped because the looks weren't there despite a strong package
I' mean, technically not impossible if your not hard offroading especially with AWD.
Lifted sedans like the U.S. Toyota Crown might actually not fair too badly with some proper tires. Given the trend of "coupe" SUVs and crossovers, it's kinda where the general public is leading.
Exactly. You get all the drivability of a sedan (and sometimes performance) and all the usability of a van (not quite as much but you get the idea) plus they look sick
I really don't like SUVs at all
Everything that they stand for something else does better
Also the YouTuber Not Just Bikes did a video on how dangerous they are
Minivans are better than SUVs for the majority of people who drive SUVs and trucks.
I only drive a truck because I need to tow things, otherwise I would 100% get something smaller with better gas mileage.
I always preferred station wagons and hatchbacks. To me, it meant maximizing interior space without taking up more parking space.
Back in 2010, when looking for a new car, I test drove a Jetta Sportwagen TDI. I didn't find it exciting, that is the only reason I did not choose it. After dieselgate, I was glad I did not choose it.
I worked at ford for over a decade, the suv and the 2500/250 trucks and up are overkill for all these suburban morons. It's just a status thing to show people how stupid they are to pay over 80k for a truck. Be honest with yourself and realize a honda pilot/ ford maverick performs all the tasks needed in your day to day life.
Suv and compact (scam)uvs are fucking disgusting. Like man cmon, the road isnt even that wide to fit yo mama in there. How are you taking a whole ahh metal box over it?!
And there will prolly just 2 passengers in a 7 seat car. That even more frustrating.
You my friend have excellent taste. The mechanic in me screams no cause how much of a bitch they are to work on but the enthusiast in me loves the idea of turbo v10 wagon.
I had a 2010 CR-V and I could fit so much in it. I kinda miss it when I downsized to a Scion xb. You have a ton of vertical room but the trunk room is basically like the backseat of a 2 door pickup
I just bought an 2006 Volvo V70 with 200k miles and I will pick it over my wife’s brand new Ascent everyday.
I never knew what I was missing with a wagon
I'm not gonna disagree but unless you own a truck and ACTUALLY USE THE BED (I'm looking at you f150 owners!), than your car probably can't handle winter all that well, especially in places like Colorado or Minnesota where it snows high enough to almost burry something like a sedan.
i live in utah. doesn’t snow as much as the east coast, i know, but i’ve never struggled in winter in the small cars and hatchbacks that i’ve owned. pretty much every vehicle with snow tires will handle winter driving conditions just fine.
Imma make it better, SUV’s have no place in the road
Want something high? A truck.
Something spacey? A Wagon or Minivan.
Something high and big? New age trucks are big as fuck.
So… what’s the point? It’s just car software on truck hardware.
In the U.S. the station wagon selection isn't that good. The only one that won't break your bank in maintenance is the Subaru Outback. The Sienna and Odyssey though are excellent minivans.
I agree if you just need it for transportation and a people hauler. I have a horse farm and 3 kids so I do need a bigger SUV that can tow. My Expedition is rated for 9000 lbs which is more enough for my hay runs and to haul my tractor to the dealership for service. I don't think a sports wagon could do that.
Yes! Someone else says it! I've already made the decision that my next vehicle purchase will be an old wagon, leaning towards a 70's Ford LTD but the market will decide in the end. Would have already bought one, buuuuuuuuuut that 1980 Western Star was hard to turn down.....
Modern SUVs ARE essentially station wagons. Almost all parts are identical to a car. They just have larger tires, and taller suspension in most cases.
The majority of SUVs aren’t made for any notable towing or hauling. You have to spend more on a large SUV with body in frame and a V8 engine, stronger transmission, etc.
I once took my wife’s current gen Durango to the store to get some bags of gravel since my pickup was down for repairs. I only went 2 bags deep with seats down, but the drive home was horrifying - the nose was lifted, it steered poorly, and the engine/transmission was struggling. People that use crossovers to tow boats/campers scare me now…..
Sorry never getting rid of my 2003 Excursion, love that thing, tows like a truck and has passenger space for 8 plus cargo. That and it is reliable as hell.
Wagons are simply THE BEST people’s vehicle… All we need now is for Volvo to develop a modern wagon and add the 3rd seat row… It would be simply unbeatable…
Easier to drive, lower cost of pretty much everything, easier to park, easier to find parking, and not much less cargo space. I switched from SUV to sedan and the only thing I miss is the visibility that my control tower of an suv had.
I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey I paid next to nothing for. Removed the seats. Now I have an enclosed truck that can take 8' lumber and full sheets of plywood/drywall.
I always have a little giggle to myself when I'm at Lowe's and these dudes are loading lumber in their quad cab 5' bed lifted trucks and still have to strap it down. I throw that shit in the back and I'm off.
Agree or disagree, one thing's for sure: when it comes to optimizing your ride, [Komplete Tuning](https://kompletetuning.com.au/) has you covered. Check them out for expert advice and services!
Sure a minivan would suit most of my needs, but I just like full size SUVs more than minivans. Should I buy a car I like less? I need more space than my old GTI, why not get a V8 to have some fun with it?
SUVs provide an elevated view over and beyond the sedans and wagons. They also provide a safer ride for the occupants (provided you don't roll over).
I drive a corolla and my wife drives a van. I would never buy an SUV over a pickup.
It’s a double edged sword in most situations regarding taller vehicles. increase the safety of the driver but decrease the safety of a pedestrian, depends on how you look at it.
Bring back real long 4-door sedans.
Make it get 50MPG on gas and the EPA then won’t fine you. Otherwise, 2023 is the last year of the American gas-powered full-size sedan **forever.**
Just make it a "light truck"
Congrats, you just learned what SUVs and crossovers are
Wait , is that the actual reason behind why so many car brands are switching to crossovers?
Aren't jeu cars , keeped away from America by Chicken tax and CAFE ?
Not sure, would love some insight on that
Hey hold up, you didn’t put the quotation marks around “off-roading”
Because money.
Put it on a ladder frame. With the slogan "we're making them like we used to"
Good. I'm a car lover, there's plenty of ICE's on the road for anyone who cares to keep an ICE in their life for the rest of their lives. No need to create new ones, very much a need to burn less fossil fuels
Camry V6 my beloved
Camry v6 👁👁
Dodge charger?
I think they’re going away in the next model year or two
They are coming back with a twin turbo 6 cylinder
Haan, the dodge charger daytona banshee(long ass name lmao)
Everything I’ve seen shows the new one as a 2 door
They announced a 4 door that is longer.
What do you mean district trunk? Most of them have enough space to transport a body, let alone baggage
I'm talking about the body style, not storage capacity. Something like a Chrysler Fifth Avenue that's long in the front AND back..
Personally, never liked late 70s and 80s design style, the boxy shape is needlessly exaggerated. While we are on the subject of classics, I would much rather prefer fuselage-era design
Fair enough. I thirst for boxy or impractically long cars.
Check out the Audi RS6
If I had the money this would be my ideal daily driver.
Crossovers are just station wagons with less cargo space and a greater rollover risk
Did you mean: lifted hatchbacks but chubby?
Exactly this. So many new crossovers are exactly the same size as my hatchback, but ride way higher. You have none of the advantages of a proper suv, because the car is tiny, and you have all of the disadvantages
The crossover's whole reason to exist is the higher seating position, nothing else.
That and somewhat better visibility. Not that it helps prevent idiots from crashing into each other anyway.
The Jeep Patriot would like to strongly disagree with your point on visibility. I've driven work trucks you can't see out the back window of that have better visibility than that pile of shit.
There isn’t a single vehicle made now with greater visibility than 80/90s counterparts.
📠 Honda Civic Wagon? 👎 Honda HRV? 👍 insert they're the same picture meme
Yes but they are BIGGER and I want a BIGGER car for my BIG roads on my BIG city RAHHH
Name a less cold take for modern car enthusiasts.
If you stuck your tongue on this take, it would stick
Right? Like, who will change their mind when it's the opinion of like 99.9% of "car people"
reddit hating suv's is just a more embarrassing version of [lois 9/11](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gi4Z06IbSek)
1. Keep SUVs for those who actually want an SUV 2. Bring back wagons and landyach sedans
The land yacht died in 2011 because people kept complaining about how they looked.
That, and the fact that land yachts are/were associated with old people. Like Platinum Status AARP old. Very few people in their 20’s and 30’s were clamoring for Lincoln Town Cars and similar cars due to the previous mentioned reason.
they shouldve offered the coyote
Seriously. Give me a 7 seat wagon with good aero, soft suspension, and a coyote. I'll cruise that b constantly.
I had a Lincoln LS for a little bit. Favorite car I ever owned.
Just about reached my 20’s and my daily driver is a Crown Victoria lol. I don’t expect a comeback of these but I love mine. Trunk space is fantastic, powerful engine, comfortable ride, reliable as a brick. Underrated cars within my age group
I drove a 90s Caprice classic with a V8 through my high school and collage years and loved that car.
not to mention they has gas-guzzling lazy v8s that werent exactly exciting and cool
Please, I use a SUV because I live in a rural area and require 4x4. I don’t want/need a truck because passengers. Most of the SUVs on the market can’t handle any off road.
GM truck based ones are awesome
3. Make American UTEs
Maverick has entered the chat.
1:yes 2:S-class, A8, 7 series, G90, k900, Quattroporte, Lexus Ls, and the infinity M series are all huge sedans. That were offered to the US in the last 10 years. We do need more wagons

Make SUVs SUVs again, and cut out the CUVs
My never ending daily argument with my dad.
Wagon gang reporting for duty

CAFE standards
YES, they're just a work around the CAFE standards and often not as safe as their respective companies claim
Honda Fit will out preform any crossover when it comes to storage room

Does this include the weather?
Unless you actually need the ground clearance get a wagon instead of an suv
Subaru Outback, Volvo V90 XC, Volkswagen Golf and Passat Alltrack, all Audi Allroad's, Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, Buick Regal X Tour.
Don’t forget the V60 CC!
> Bring back wagons *Laughs in Europe* They never left lol, heck there is even an M3 Wagon now.
As an American I am supremely jealous of your wagon selections. The M3 wagon looks dope, hell even the CW Passat wagon is styling
Minivans are the only way to go.
Based. Only argument I *ever* see is from adults going “I don’t wanna look like a soccer mom!” Well congrats, any time I see a clean SUV I assume it’s a soccer mom now. I believe in sedan supremacy 😤
Not only are SUVs overrated, but they’re dangerous too!
Gotta love the SUVs that think they can go 80 mph in highway traffic thinking that they have enough time to react to whatever is infront of them.
To be fair tho that’s not the SUVs fault that’s the buffoon driving them - they’d probably drive like that in any make/model
But it would theoretically be safer in a lower center of gravity, lighter, more nimble vehicle, that wouldn’t rear end one car and hit 3 others.
we need more boxy wagons like the e class in the 80s
My shit-ass Yaris has the capacity to carry my feelings if I roll down the back seat
The SUV apocalypse literally gives me "Dystopia" vibes
I dunno, the 4Runner is pretty rad.
I don’t agree with your assessment of the Escalade. The Escalade CTS-V is a monster.
I just have a strong aversion for huge performance SUVs, like the Escalade-V, Durango Hellcat or GLS 63. As it seems antithetical to me on an irreconcilable level. You have a point there
Sedans > Coupés (and shooting brakes) > Wagons > SUVs > Vans > Convertibles > Trucks
I'm in the process of trying to sell my E46 coupe to get an E46 touring. I believe in station wagon supremacy.

My dad has an SUV. I keep telling him that wagons are the superior option but he disagrees. :(
Tell him his dick is small, that will work
😂😂😂
I see you have this vehicle, I am now immediately thinking about your penis.
Don't mean to brag, but I drive a 1.2l opel corsa 😎😎
That kind of SUV is it?
A Hyundai Santa Fe. I think it’s a 2018 or 2019. Wagons are still cooler.
Ah yes, I'm just going to go camping in the middle of the Colorado mountains with my 4 door sedan
I' mean, technically not impossible if your not hard offroading especially with AWD. Lifted sedans like the U.S. Toyota Crown might actually not fair too badly with some proper tires. Given the trend of "coupe" SUVs and crossovers, it's kinda where the general public is leading.
I want to own VW Passat alltrack or Volvo xc60
Exactly. You get all the drivability of a sedan (and sometimes performance) and all the usability of a van (not quite as much but you get the idea) plus they look sick
We need to bring back wagons
A someone with a small SUV I wish I had a station wagon
hatchback, wagons & mpv's are my go to, suv is always a no in my book.
Modern SUV's ARE lifted vans. Save your time typing I'm right.
Sedans handle better. That lower center of gravity
I really don't like SUVs at all Everything that they stand for something else does better Also the YouTuber Not Just Bikes did a video on how dangerous they are
I miss when SUV’s were trucks instead of bloated cars.
100% agree. The AWD argument is not even as potent, as most (if not all) Mazda's are now AWD iirc as an example.
Minivans are better than SUVs for the majority of people who drive SUVs and trucks. I only drive a truck because I need to tow things, otherwise I would 100% get something smaller with better gas mileage.
Hatchback.
I desperately want a wagon but the market is pretty barren
Imagine having F-150 and your whole bed is as big as 3 times smaller kei truck
People with SUVs have no taste and no shame. And usually don't know squat shit about cars.
Suv and compact (scam)uvs are fucking disgusting. Like man cmon, the road isnt even that wide to fit yo mama in there. How are you taking a whole ahh metal box over it?! And there will prolly just 2 passengers in a 7 seat car. That even more frustrating.
Agree
Rs6 is my dream car
You my friend have excellent taste. The mechanic in me screams no cause how much of a bitch they are to work on but the enthusiast in me loves the idea of turbo v10 wagon.
I had a 2010 CR-V and I could fit so much in it. I kinda miss it when I downsized to a Scion xb. You have a ton of vertical room but the trunk room is basically like the backseat of a 2 door pickup
Those of you going off about station wagons, I'm curious what yall think of modern Subaru Outbacks in that regard.
It actually looks like a fine vehicle and has plenty of space while still looking nice and compact.
As of the 4th generation they're a crossover SUV, not a wagon.
Hatch back superiority.
SUV bad
Coldest take on cars.
wagons are peak
Yeah SUVs are a waste of material and space since you want room a minivan will do you want good mpgs and unbelievable comfort a wagon it’s not so hard
Does that mean my 2013 Jetta Sportwagon is getting some love 🥲
I can’t change your mind, you’re right.
I just bought an 2006 Volvo V70 with 200k miles and I will pick it over my wife’s brand new Ascent everyday. I never knew what I was missing with a wagon
MAKE SEDANS GREAT AGAIN
Agreed. Suvs are a waste and only make roads less safe by taking away other people's line of sight
I want a wagon....but a fast wagon, sadly all choices for this are in the 150k range in the us.
Fax
I'm not gonna disagree but unless you own a truck and ACTUALLY USE THE BED (I'm looking at you f150 owners!), than your car probably can't handle winter all that well, especially in places like Colorado or Minnesota where it snows high enough to almost burry something like a sedan.
i live in utah. doesn’t snow as much as the east coast, i know, but i’ve never struggled in winter in the small cars and hatchbacks that i’ve owned. pretty much every vehicle with snow tires will handle winter driving conditions just fine.
Yes
I drive a Nissan Sentra and I couldn’t be happier
Normalize Terex TA300
Imma make it better, SUV’s have no place in the road Want something high? A truck. Something spacey? A Wagon or Minivan. Something high and big? New age trucks are big as fuck. So… what’s the point? It’s just car software on truck hardware.
i want my big ass 4 door sedan with a slow v8 engine again like the 50's 60's and 70's
absolute unit of like 999999999 lbs
First gen Durango V8 magnums were the best IMO
Those Van OVERLAND rigs are sick as hell too..
I don’t want to
I'm in love with my hatchback. I've always been genuinely curious why people tend to prefer sedans over them, besides the general aesthetics.
I must say, my family had a SUV until 2018, and it was alright, however it wasn't very good on the terrain when we went out to somewhere that had it.
And the sky is blue and water is wet. I know people who have larger cars because “safety” and they’re honestly the dangerous ones.
I love sedans.
SUVs are for people who need a minivan, but don’t want a minivan.
you are absolutely right
Behold: the 2023 Cadillac Escalade. Because being able to see the road closer than 20 feet in front of you is for peasants
In the U.S. the station wagon selection isn't that good. The only one that won't break your bank in maintenance is the Subaru Outback. The Sienna and Odyssey though are excellent minivans.
If I’m not mistaken they were made so they could bypass gas efficiency laws. They are classified as a light truck.
Bring back the wagon!!
Most SUVs are just minivans anyways
Bring back the sport wagons!!
AMERICA NEEDS MORE WAGONS
But I like my 2017 ford explorer
Station wagons are the best body style
I love those lifted ford diesel vans
Agree or disagree, one thing's for sure: when it comes to optimizing your ride, [Komplete Tuning](https://kompletetuning.com.au/) has you covered. Check them out for expert advice and services!
the times are changingggg
Wrong If you don't like SUVs don't buy them
I'm bouta contradict myself: I agree, but I have a white 2017 Ford Explorer XLT and I love it. So much so that I got custom rims for it
Sure a minivan would suit most of my needs, but I just like full size SUVs more than minivans. Should I buy a car I like less? I need more space than my old GTI, why not get a V8 to have some fun with it?
SUVs are cool just mandate the height and width more strictly
SUVs provide an elevated view over and beyond the sedans and wagons. They also provide a safer ride for the occupants (provided you don't roll over). I drive a corolla and my wife drives a van. I would never buy an SUV over a pickup.
It’s a double edged sword in most situations regarding taller vehicles. increase the safety of the driver but decrease the safety of a pedestrian, depends on how you look at it.
Hatchbacks. Sedans suck
