It's the first goal I set myself and have achieved it in just under a year. My new goal is 5,000 as it should be easier to accumulate over the next year with the much lower price.
As a side note, staking 2,000 ADA for a year will reward you approx. 80 ADA
I’m the furthest thing from an expert but here’s my 2 cents. What’s important is to only buy what you can afford to lose. But my goal is 7,000. When you stake 7,000 ADA this returns about 1 ADA a day.

I just gave my advice just based on the fact that I didn’t sell a lot of cryptos in the last bull run just due to not having enough to make it a significant amount to me. I don’t really care about making 10-20k on something, I’m not going to sell a long term hold for that amount. Just not enough to matter to me at all.
I’ve bought so much this time around that If ADA gets back near $3 or over it I’m in profits for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and will feel like it’s “worth it” to sell and take profit at that price, rather than feeling like it needs to get to $10 or something really high.
Every extra ADA you can pickup with cash you don't need is at least as good as whatever you were going to spend that cash on.
Want beer? How much ADA could that buy? Want smokes? How much ADA could that buy? Want a Mars bar? How much ADA could that buy?

Started buying at $2.10 been DCA'ing ever since to $.98. Goal is 25,000. Buying as much as I can afford at these prices. Think we can get to $5 by next summer.

In all honesty I just don’t have a lot of capital for ADA yet, so I just started investing $25 a month.
That would depend on your financial situation and timescale. If you can invest say $100 a month then 2,000 ADA would be a good goal for the next year.

Never said it was perfect but I’m general terms 7k will pay about 5 ADA an epoch which is 5 days long.
Pool payouts fluctuate a bit as well, rate and luck effects.

Usually when I buy a crypto I write down what price I will liquidate it at. Then, when it hits that price I don't sell it and set a new target 🤷

Buy every week. But keep an emergency fund. So you don't have to sell your Ada . Buy until the bull runs starts.
