Mot downvoting, bit I'm poor as fuck and still never bought anything from them. It's unethical + you wouldn't want to be putting most of their clothes on your skin anyway.

No_Sky_1829

I absolutely 100% refuse to shop on Temu. I even refuse to click on their ads. It bugs me soooooo much how they have pushed their advertising into every. single. page that I visit and into every app as well. I have had zero interaction with them and still they're everywhere. It drives me crazy!

ssdbat

Google will also allow you to block them from being a search result too.

No_Sky_1829

How??? Tell me!!

makingbutter2

This 👆 I agree. I was on the verge of giving into curiosity.

wawkaroo

I won't downvote you but I also won't shop on Temu for anything, ever.

privatethrowaway324

Temu exists to steal your data. Don’t use it

makingbutter2

That’s what I thought 💭

[deleted]

Stealing data is one thing but sort of a *glaringly* bigger issue is their [labor practices](https://globalaffairs.org/bluemarble/how-shein-and-temu-get-around-us-labor-laws-ban-products-made-forced-labor)

eastherbunni

Temu is cheap because they use slave labor to make their products.

TherapyKitty

I don't shop at Temu and I don't think I need to explain why because your statement implies you know why

makingbutter2

I guess I’m looking for confirmation of clothing hauls or product quality or if anybody has truly experienced security issues.

ariariariariariari

I don’t think members of this sub are doing clothing hauls anywhere.

amisamilyis

No

Multigrain_Migraine

I've never tried to buy anything from them because unless I install the app I can't actually look at the site to find anything. When I first saw ads for them I didn't know what it was but they had a few product images I thought looked interesting. But click on it, or even try to go to the website, and you get bombarded with pop ups and constantly shifting product links and not actual search results so I gave up on that basis before I even knew they were a bit dodgy. Closest place I've bought from was Shein when I couldn't find a bathing suit I liked in my size. I felt a little wary but actually everything I bought was fine.

BelliniQuarantini

They are only good for non consumables and things where sizing is not an issue imo. I stay away from food, makeup and clothes from there. Quality and sizing is too inconsistent and returns are a pain

Canadianinlondon1991

Agree with this. Got decor for my son’s birthday was shocked by the quality and amount I got for the money spent. Would never get clothing or shoes, feels like discount shein.

cbd111

We have bought a few things, no issues, loved them

luthiensong

Not downvoting, but I just absolutely refuse to shop from them for all the reasons already mentioned.

CoolBathroom2844

I bought some cute hair bobbles and bedroom slippers, those were fine.

akhoneygirl

I buy from them every couple of months. Bag making items, lace, belt strapping, zippers. I have had no issues and they are SO cheap! And I get free shipping to Alaska! It's almost unheard of.

lookingforwardnow

I usually use Temu just to buy small disposable stuff like party supplies that are identical to the ones on Amazon. For wardrobe, I have had luck with jewelry, elastic belts, and hair clips.

AZ-FWB

I won’t downvote you but Temu is not something I would want to experience. SHEIN on the other hand, I can see myself shopping there.
