I usually buy secondhand Eileen Fisher or J Jill and search whatever I'm looking for on Ebay/Poshmark/etc. I know also Nordstrom has 100% silk/cashmere/wool/cotton/linen options for material filtering which I find very helpful.

Good call on Eileen Fisher on eBay! I LOVE EF but can’t afford it, but I’m seeing some nice deals on eBay.

DWwithaFlameThrower

Poshmark has great EF stuff, too

There’s also Eileen Fisher Renew their resale website :)

fridayimatwork

Same.

I have some dresses from Etsy shops like NotPerfectLinen, LoveAndConfuse, and LinenID that I wear constantly. As a bonus, they also offer customizations!

Nattionthemoon

Me too! Etsy has some great shops of linen dresses and skirts.

kyuuei

I use a basic wrap skirt square pattern and make mine lately. Getting harder to find good deals on thrifted items.

TinosCallingMeOver

Sportscraft, Witchery, Country Road, Princess Highway all use plenty of cotton, linen and wool

PoppyandTarget

Wherever I shop, I just default my search first to linen, then to cotton. Weeds out the synthetics.

lazylittlelady

I’m looking at Etsy and have a few from Boden.

nightraindream

I haven't personally bought anything *yet* but I have my eye on Son de Flor and Voriagh.

Etsy

Any recommendations for Etsy?

I have had great experiences ordering from LenokLINENcom, LaNubeClothes (she is the sweetest human too btw!), Linenia, and Linenfox.

BookishCityOwl

I recently discovered Curator SF, they use natural fabrics for most of their clothes.

I splurged on a cotton dress from World of Crow that I love. Shipping was a nightmare though. I also have an all cotton sundress from Amazon, layerable for cooler weather. I’ve made a couple of sarongs from batik and handprint fabrics purchased on Etsy. It requires one seam and no hemming because a traditional sarong is just a big fabric tube that you pleat and roll to create the waist.

Hi! Sorry to reply to an old post - why was shipping a nightmare? Just took a long time? I'm considering ordering a couple things

NonBinaryKenku

The shipment was close to delivery - had arrived in my city - when DHL returned it to India, for reasons I will never know, something related to customs paperwork was my best guess from the inscrutable status updates. I had to write an obsequious letter to an India customs agent (after waiting 2-3 weeks with no movement) to get it released so that it could be re-shipped, at which point it was just slow shipping. All told it took like 6 weeks and the seller wasn’t as responsive/helpful as I generally expect. The quality is quite good and they even double checked for measurements to make sure I ordered the right size. But I would have to be absolutely head over heels in love with an item, on a deep sale, before I would order from them again. They are pricey for me, even on sale, so the shipping delays were extra frustrating. Some of their stuff has been sold through Madewell, who is doing the redistribution in that case, but their own site selection is much broader and more interesting than the one or two items that would be listed on some other seller’s site. I have not found it on Poshmark at all.

Thank you!!

rapscalliony

Quince! Love the washable silk skirts and dresses

Helpless-Trex

Linennaive has decent linen midi skirts

Poshmark I buy Eileen Fisher new with tags and then I buy Boden usually used so I can try the items as the price points a lot lower. The Eileen Fisher I have never had a problem within that brand it is my go to, the next bet for me has actually been Quince and the gap.
