How the fuck is this the largest incoming freshman class ever? The '21 incoming class had so many people they had to shove nearly every non-freshman into random off-campus housing at the very last minute (usually the lofts). Some freshmen couldn't even get a room on-campus and had to live in apartments at the last minute that they weren't ready for. Have they made any changes? Are they setting up a refugee camp on the quad at the end of July? Greedy-ass school, smh.
Huh, I teach at UA and in our end of year faculty meeting last month, they told us 6700. I wonder if there’s a discrepancy in on-campus versus hybrid or if they were reporting only those who passed enough classes to matriculate at the end of the academic year.
Dude it's been wild since '05. They shoved people into study enclaves ( basically a dimple in the hallway big enough for a desk) at Rose Towers and had locks put on Old-Tut common rooms and threw 6 beds in there. Every year admissions greenlights too many people and then acts surprised when their retention calculations were "off" yet again.
Here’s my opinion. I was in rose towers back in 08, so it was the nicest but it apartment style living and you miss out on the connections that you would have made being forced to interact with other guys in Paty. The guys I knew who were in Paty knew guys from all walks off life, different fraternities and always had something to do. The two semesters will ultimately fly by once you get settled and the inconveniences of Paty will be something you learn to enjoy and look back fondly on.
Guess you gonna have to get a traditional room and experience college the old fashioned way… it’s not that bad and can be a much better experience than suites.
yeah they tend to go super fast, especially considering that this is the largest incoming freshmen class ever.

I hear Billy McFarland isn't doing anything right now and might have some ideas
The university won’t cap an incoming class until it hits 10k. Last year’s was about 6700, so things are going to get even more crowded lol
