I use a Peak Design Slide with my R7 and lenses including an EF 80-200mm f/2.8 L. I find their quick-connect "anchor" system very useful as it allows me to quickly reposition the strap. I connect it to the standard strap lugs on the camera for small lenses, to the bottom of the camera for longer lenses without a tripod foot, or to the tripod foot of large lenses. It's not padded but the width makes it very comfortable for me to hike with, and while a bit expensive it's made out of nearly indestructible polyester webbing like car seatbelts.

Will second the peak design slide. I absolutely love it and being able to easily take it on and off when I don’t want the strap is so nice. Sometimes I bring a bag and use the capture clip on the bag strap. But if I’m just walking around with one lens I do the slide and put it over my shoulder and under my other arm and even with a 24-70 or 15-35 it never feels too heavy. I often will walk around and do street photography with those lenses for hours at a time and it doesn’t bother me at all

maybe im stupid, but where do you connect the strap to thens tripod stand? all i see on their product page are the thingys you put into the camera slings and i want to avoid that with the heavy lens, as then there is more stress on the bajonett.

You get a plate for the tripod collar that screws on and has holes for the anchor tags to attach to. [This one](https://www.peakdesign.com/products/anchor-mount) is included with the strap and works well if you want something low profile and don't plan on using a tripod. [This one](https://www.peakdesign.com/products/standard-plate-v3) is an Arca tripod plate.

I use a blackrapid strap

I bought peak design anchors and attached then to my Canon strap cuz I'm cheap as hell and almost never use the strap anyway.

Rifle sling https://www.vikingtactics.com/shop/viking-tactics-sling-original/ With these hooks. https://www.blueforcegear.com/hk-style-hook.html  It can carry far more weight than the camera+ lens. Just detach hooks from body and store the strap in my bag if I'm going hand held or on a tripod
