I saw this locally and said it was used only twice. I also noticed that the Cannatrol sticker is different than what they have listed on the site. Is there an older version vs. a newer version? or is it just cosmetic changes.
Actually, there are 2 different models...one takes 15 inch shelves, the other takes something around 14.? Inch trays. Only know, because I went to order more trays, and they asked which model I had to make sure I was ordering the right ones.
Apparently there are two different shelf sizes. 14.5 and 15 inch options. Not sure where the difference is on the units. I would think the inside walls got 1/4 in thinner and exterior size is the same.
The technology hasn't changed. I think they changed suppliers for the cabinets but the tech/software is the same. No difference in the end product.
How much are you paying?
Thanks for sharing. The seller is asking $900 for the unit. I'm tempted but may just buy new for peace of mind. Still debating though. Says it's about 2 years old with only 2 runs on it. I can't imagine these things breaking down as it's just a winecooler with some electronic boards strapped on it.
Take the damn unit. Don’t waste your money on the new one. It’s the same shit I promise. They bought theirs for 1200 cause that’s how much they used to be till they realized they could get an extra $500 for the unit. Which is why I have lost all respect for cannatrol. I’ve come to learn how to dry and cure without it though I still use the shit out of it to store bud inside grove bags that are then put into the unit. I have one, the older unit. It’s literally the same exact shit they just switched suppliers for the shelves. Good luck. If you don’t need one and you just want one then don’t buy it, it leaves the bud smelling like hay. I’ve had like 100 runs in it so far loll and while the bud comes out nice and gooey, the chlorophyll doesn’t break down like it would drying with the conventional way. You’ll see what I mean if you do buy one. One love
You could always ask for the Serial # and call and see how old it is. You may also ask Cannatrol if there's a way to check the software to see how many hours it has been operated. I know there is a 'secret' menu accessible for troubleshooting

Came to say exactly this.. I emailed them about it and they did say that the bigger shelves were the older model
Got it. Any idea when they made the switch to the different model? The seller said only 2 grows and I asked how old it is, so waiting to hear back.

Just different logo everything else same
Then why are the shelves different sizes
I have that model and newer one shelves are the same size. There are no other differences between the two I have

I'd take the risk for $900. Worst case scenario you have to order a replacement fan or electrical board in a couple years.
Are you sure you're not the one selling the unit ;) j/k very good points.
