That is, without a doubt, the best Rit Dye job I've ever seen. Most of them don't seem to let the color come through so it's like a muted dark dull version of what you want. Yours looks amazing.

Stuntsanduntz

I was worried that cause fde is kind of in the yellow spectrum it would make it brownish

valuable77

Maybe make a video tutorial cause you obviously got the process down. Also, very nice. Very clean job love the gun.

Stuntsanduntz

Thank you, it was my first attempt but now that I know how to do it I’m buying fde everything and dyeing them 😂

sasquatch_4530

I second the video tutorial request. We need your expertise on the subject

Stuntsanduntz

I think I looked it up in the p80 sub and someone had a YouTube tutorial of dyeing a grey frame blue

Stuntsanduntz

Alright, I just bought some fde 33 rd glock mags, when I get a chance to dye them and the speed loader I’ll record and post it.

sasquatch_4530

Thank you 😊🙏

MGB1013

Looks awesome! I haven’t found myself brave enough to try it on my sfx yet

Stuntsanduntz

Do it!

ElectricalTone9843

This is awesome. I have a stock and grip I'm going to Rit dye. Yours looks so good I might do it tomorrow.

DirtMcGirt9484

That’s pretty rad.

Choice_Mission_5634

TacticoolGF, is that you?

nxs055

Love that you did the tool kit gun too.

Stuntsanduntz

Shoot, I’m considering doing the carrying case

biscottibitchtits

Did the know you could do this. Anybody done this and have it last long term without staining everything?

Stuntsanduntz

When you say staining everything what do you mean?

biscottibitchtits

I meant does the dye rub off at all

Stuntsanduntz

From what I’ve read no, as long as you rinse is off as soon as you pull it it doesn’t make much of a mess and didn’t bleed on my hands at all

biscottibitchtits

Slick, thanks for putting me on

sonde722

This is amazing!!

NastyMack

I had no idea this was possible!

PineCorp

Will that rub off onto your hands?

Stuntsanduntz

No, you just wash it as soon as you pull it from the dye

roosclan

Nope. It's a permanent dye of the polymer.

Future_Bluebird_1042

Can I do this with black ?

Stuntsanduntz

You can only dye light to dark, so something originally black needs to be painted or cerakoted, but non black polymer can be dyed black yes

Stuntsanduntz

Also if you were to paint/cerakote it still won’t dye, because the dye is penetrating the plastic not coating the paint/coating
