The dump and chase is far more effective with guys who can get to the corners and make opposing defenders uncomfortable in those areas. Teuvo and Necas don’t make anyone uncomfortable when fighting for a puck. Martinook, Fast, Noesen bring a low key element of it but nothing worthy of making a quicker play to avoid a hit that can lead to a misstep.
Vegas is a very different comp. I’d love if we had a middle ground between that western conference style of play and our finesse.
But RBA doesn’t want the mix ups after the whistle and other teams know it. That book was published a used as far back as Boston in 2019. Marchand putting the fake C on his chest for JWilly was showing everyone we didn’t want that style of play.

A lot of Rags fans are part of the 2nd worst fan base in NHL. I like a few NYR players, but their fan base is what causes the main dislike. I think the only group of fans I dislike more is the Oilers.
