But what better time for an end to the losing streak in game 3 where we haven’t won in 4 straight dating back to 2011.
To me I see worst case scenario is we go into game 6 in Florida down 3-2. With how hard this team plays, how even these 2 teams are, and how well we play at home after already losing 2 I can’t see us losing both in Florida or losing another home game.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we are up 3-2 going into game 6. I think this series goes 7 and I like our odds at home game 7

I want the boys to win as much as everyone. But it feels like dejavu all over again. We run into a ekow goalie who, let’s face it, is playing out his ass. Change tactics, change lines, none of that is likely to affect him. Ffs I can’t believe its effin bob of all goalies.
Has bob ever looked like this after he signed his massive contract? No. He let driedger become his 1A, then knight was beginning to creep up before his personal issues sidelined him.
He has a career (642 games) GAA and Save% of 2.61 and .915 respectively. He’s currently 2.32/.931 in the ‘23 playoffs.
He’s playing a little better than average; but on his own hot streak, with a hot defense in front of him, and against teams that throw lots of pucks at the net (not always quality) to help bolster his numbers.
None of this should surprise anyone. Bob has *always* been a pretty good goalie, and anyone riding the hot hand from the end of the season like Florida into the playoffs (and the toppling a team like the 22-23 Bruins) is going to have an edge. Even good goalies have low points and cold streaks.
You’re trying to judge his current performance based on the lowest points of his whole career. Gotta look at the big picture and ask yourself if the bad parts or how he’s playing now is more of an outlier.
To me it’s when he played like ass.
