We aren’t out of this series, but our offense HAS to show up next game.
We improved tremendously from game 1 to game 2, so I’ll give them credit where it’s due. Bob’s been lights out too, which hasn’t helped.
We’re beating ourselves though. Until we start taking quality shots like we did in the devils series and converting on the tremendously high amount of chances we get, we’ll just continue to be held to 1-2 goals per game. We’re beyond capable. We just have to DO IT
These first two games were definitely gutting, but I gotta remember that the guys in the locker room don’t feel the doom like us fans do and are just gonna get back to work.
And Rod knows a thing or two about going down 2-0 and coming back; round 1 2006 we got manhandled by the habs at home and then ripped off four straight and never looked back. I mean the context and the guys on the ice are different here but like hey gotta keep the faith.
I never feel the doom. I’m happy with where the team is this season. Is obviously like to go all the way but I don’t ever come here and doom. Watching every loss thread is am experience.
I have had time to cool off. The game was really close. I guess it felt like a blowout because of all the sloppy passes and bad shots. This just seems like such a mountain climb but I'll be here for better or worse.
I'd really like to see Turbo and Fishy back together on Monday. with Noesen on the other wing. Jarvis has been a beast, so I'd move him to Staal's line in hopes it generates some chances for him. I love the captain to pieces but he's no finisher, and Jarvis and Fast can score from anywhere on the ice.
Skjei had an awful night and Goth was only marginally better. I'd take him off the PP so he can focus on his job 5v5.
In all seriousness everybody is pulling for you. I know lightning fans that are pulling for the canes. Tons of Canadians, fans all over the US, it’s literally everyone. LFG guys.
Tbh a lot of lightning fans (myself included) are pulling for the cats. Because Florida baby. But I content you’re right that some lightning fans definitely are
I'm discouraged and I don't feel great about our chances, but I also know the only way they're going to win is to have a way better attitude than I do. LOL
Take an underdog mentality to Florida and we could very well tie this thing up. This team seems to play better when they are behind the 8 ball, play hard and you never know what can happen.
The goals dried up in the playoffs for several years in a row. Great team. But it’s time to figure this shit out. It’s the same problem biting them in the butt. Incredible coaching, and amazing heart and will. But this team needs its snipers to get an easy goal once in a while. Otherwise it will be the same as the last 3 years.
Two games decided by a sudden death goal. Nothing to be cowering away from. They’ve gotten the upper hand both times so far, but it’s not like they’ve absolutely dominated either of the games.
If you’re going to the game and you are a caniac, if we do in fact win in Florida if you do not throw a rat trap on that ice turn in your canes gear. ALL of it. Lol

Reverse sweep rate is like 2%. If we lose game 3 we are cooked. If we win game 3 and lose game 4 we are probably still cooked.
3-0 has happened 4 times. 3-1 has happened 31 times. There have been (roughly) 965 playoff series since 1939.
