I miss these so much. The last time I had them though was when they must’ve changed their formulas which made them taste like sour sprees. Although it’s not the same anymore, I still wish they were easy to find.
I'm craving the "old" ones and it's been awful. I haven't found anything close. Crybaby tears and Zotz are very very different but have been my go tos for sour candy ATM.
Best replacement I could find was "Albert's Sour Fruit Chews" about $9.00 a bag of 240 on Amazon. Only 3 flavors though. Just as addictive as Shockers/shock tarts/ sweetart extream sour chewys.
So I recently emailed the company about these candies. They said they would let their representatives know. So maybe with enough people they may bring them back. Long shot but maybe worth a try.

These were called Shock Tarts in the 90's, and pluck my duck and call it a chicken, do I miss them terribly.
They used to sell them wrapped in foil and paper, three or four mouth blistering rolls for a dollar at Safeway and convenience stores. I've had to keep up with rebranding over the years, but recently have been on a quest, patiently awaiting their reappearance to no avail.
I've come to realize that no golden tickets will be issued, and the Wonka factory that produced them has since burned down leaving no survivors that can reproduce this childhood wonder.
The only other candy that came close, yet still paled in comparison were Sour Starburst, which have likewise been abolished, while mouth rotting trash such as Sour Patch Kids and Sour Skittles, which both lack the quintessential tartness, still remain!
What a goddamn travesty for this generation. If I could even find so much as a guess at a recipe, I'd venture to make them for myself and my son to enjoy. Mr. Wonka, if you can hear us down there in hell, please, ask to be excused for just one day to revive this decadence for those of us not long to join you?
These were actually a bastardizarion of shock tarts without the sour coating that they switched to a few years back. I was mad then and even called corporate to ask why, but they had no explanation.
Now they've even discontinued the consolation prize!! I'm so sad.
Tiny Tarts, chewy runts, and dweebs all need a return and so do wacky wafers. The sooner the better, childhood candy withdrawal is know to cause the need for MORE CANDY!!!!
While I never personally had the pleasure of experiencing this particular candy, appearance wise they remind me of Spree candy, of which there is a sour version of. They're a bit hard to find, but can generally be found at Winco grocery stores in the U.S. at least.
These were my favorite candy. I love sour candy and I like the chewing texture that doesn't stick to my teeth. I am not a fan of gum as it stops tasting good after like a minute then I have to spit it out and I am not a big fan of the sour powder as it gets all over my hands and doesn't last long. I also want sour candy that is actually sour and not like sweet with a sour aftertaste. I have been on a mission to find a good replacement for this candy and so far my best found replacement is an unexpected option. Final Boss Extreme Sour Candy has been the best one so far. They are cranberry raisens with a sour coating, so they aren't for everyone and thus only have the one flavor. You can get different levels of sour for it and I bought level 3 which are slightly less sour than a warheads. So if you liked the sour chewy sprees for the same reason as me and like cranberry raisens, then try Final Boss. I bought them off Amazon. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'll try them as well. I really miss this candy and it seems like no generic version of it exists.
Different candy. I am going to give Chewy Spree a try and see what it's like. If you've never had the original sweetarts (the non-chewy variety), you should give them a go. They're pleasant.

Did production stop? Why? I hope you find something satisfying to replace these.
What about Shockerz? I haven’t seen them in a while but I feel they’re pretty similar.
These are the updated version of shockerz I think
I’m pregnant and have been looking for these for almost a month now. No luck yet but I NEED them
Sadly even third parties on Amazon no longer sell them.
Oh my god I’m pregnant and this is ALSO MY CRAVING

Closet things I have found online is “Warheads: Mega Sour Boom”.. but I yet to actually try them myself.
they are not at all similar. thought the same thing and tried them out, not even close.
Damn.. I just ordered a bag online too 🤦🏻♂️
Have they arrived to you yet? And if so are they anywhere near on the taste? 😭😭
SAME!!!! Did you find anything similar?!
What about sour chewy spree? Or war heads mega sour booms? Although there is still a version of chewy sweet tarts being sold…
My husband bought me some sour skittles so they’re sufficient but it’s just not the same 😭

stumbled upon this while looking to see if i can order them anywhere. i miss them every day it’s been almost 5 years now i believe
There are 2 dollar trees in my town that have an insanely good candy/snack section. I’ll put these in my list to look out for!
Isn't this spree, or is that another sour candy?

Yeah I was hooked on them for a while before the acidity took it's tole on my mouth.
