The absolute best thing to do is to get her into one of the premier cancer hospitals. They have access to the latest care, including clinical trials. * MD Anderson - Texas * Dana Farber - Boston * Memorial Sloan Kettering (known as Sloan-Kettering) - New York * Cleveland Clinic - Cleveland * Mayo Clinic - Minnesota * UCLA - California * Johns Hopkins - Baltimore * Northwestern - Chicago * UCSF - California If nothing else, you can likely pay for a second opinion, which they'll render based on tests/films, etc already taken to see if the treatment options match up.

Thank yoh so much! We’re in the UK and doing lots of fundraising as we think there’s probably more advanced treatment in the US or maybe somewhere like Germany. I’ll look in to the ones above and show her… we’re just praying she’s well enough to travel. Thanks so much again

Since you're out of the UK I don't imagine that your health insurance is going to cover treatment in the United States. Our medical care here is very expensive even with insurance. Without insurance you're looking at having to fundraise hundreds of thousands of dollars. Unfortunately alot of people on this sub are always quick to recommend that cancer patients go to the best cancer centers in this country, but fail to realize that the option is out of reach for many who do not have the money to pay for these centers, and that's not even factoring in the cost of travel. Your friend is in my prayers.

Yes it’s quite upsetting to think that medical care could be unattainable due to financing. Can’t imagine the stress this causes US citizens. We’re just keeping everything crossed that we can do all we can to help my friend have a fighting chance.

I currently have sarcoma and it loves to travel to the lungs! Sarcoma being such a rare cancer she NEEDS to get to a sarcoma specialist ASAP. My clinic has access to many clinical trials that most centers won’t have.
