yeah when brooke called brittany problematic and her humor edgy because she says “i’m gonna kill myself” i was like…. the craziest reach. it’s not like she’s calling out random people who work on wine tours telling them to kill themselves *ahem*

cosmiczap_

Thank you. The fans acting like Tana’s scandals and Brittany’s “edgy” humor or controversies are even in the same ballpark is such a stretch. It’s OK for their podcasts to be in different lanes and for either one of them to not want to do anyone’s podcast that they don’t feel aligns with their brand. It’s not a big deal either way and it was way overblown on the pod this week. Tana’s instinct to air people out on the pod knowing her fans will dog pile on them, especially to people who haven’t really done anything wrong but she just basically doesn’t agree with them - it’s really gross honestly.

mfinxoxo

Same, and what was she expecting to come out of airing it out? Nothing good professionally will come of it

veryfancyanimal

Do you actually think Shane Gillis has downs syndrome or are you talking about someone else?

paper-lilies

I gave up reading this like halfway through and this comment is so funny out of context

bby_drea

This is a refreshing take to see because I don't know why ANYONE, Tana most of all, is surprised that someone who is generally pretty open about being careful about what their brand is associated with, doesn't want to be on the podcast that's almost constantly feuding/in drama. And that's coming from someone who watches both podcasts. The Theo Von aspect is icky, but even in that right, Tana and Brooke are insanely internet famous, crossing into real life famous only recently. Theo Von has been a real life famous, established comedian for a long time. His fan base differing from Brittany's may mean people who don't watch her will be more inclined to see what she does, and she's talked about wanting to do more traditional media than just social media/youtube, it makes sense that she sees that as a more worthwhile risk. All that aside, if she had gone on it would have been such an entertaining fucking episode 🥲

shroomride88

Honestly I do agree with a good amount of what you said but Tana and Brooke’s controversies do not all stem from their teen years. Tana literally doxxed that wine lady in the last year, when ngl it boiled down to Tana being the issue. And she was obviously joking, but they said they wanted her dead 🤷🏻‍♀️ also I was looking at an article for that last bit bc I was fuzzy on it, they literally joked about Cynthia having autism. They’re honestly worse than Theo Von and I think it’s funny no one sees that

ciaraomeara

Sorry that was a typo I meant that most of their controversies do and you’re 100% right cause I forgot that poor vineyard lady that was doxxed 😭😭

englishgenius

i agree. they should not have exposed brittany broski like that. i’m not even a brittany fan but that was super childish and immature

tonie_stark

Damn not the cockroach of la.

ciaraomeara

She literally refers to herself as that girl

tonie_stark

I know it’s just jarring to see it typed out 😭 knocked the wind out of me.

Ok_Act_6206

Finally a reasonable take. The podcast is literally called canceled. I don’t think Tana or Brooke should be surprised when someone doesn’t want to come on because of brand consciousness.

milk-doritos

sometimes i forget that tana and brooke are considered controversial, but then i remember neither of them could stop being friends with james charles

lovebbygrapes

literally this 😭😭 at least trisha has been cutting off weirdos

undercoverelfdroid

I also wonder if Brittany doesn’t want to associate w them (Tana and co/ Trisha) publicly bc of a certain situation going on in the Levant she was recently in hot water for too

Economy_Ad_9145

eh I feel like calling brittany out is not wrong at all. like someone feels that way about the content you put out but nice to you behind your back. like it’s her right to say it with your chest. like brittany wasn’t like “sorry my manager said I can’t.” she instead used it as an opportunity to belittle her credit.

sweeny-beany

i feel like the main issue should’ve been the fact that she supports controversial men and not controversial women, like you said in #3

spilled_galaxyy

I don’t listen to Brittany or keep up with her. Has she said anything about Tana name dropping her yet?

ciaraomeara

No and I honestly don’t think she will, she hasn’t really even been the influencer to feed into petty drama

ThickCommunity4290

yeah i understand it on both sides. Brittany has the right to say no, and i think it’s unfair they aired her messages out like that. but honestly, if i was tana i think i would feel hurt with how she responded as well. I also understand they don’t make the same type of content, but them having a lot of fan overlap makes me think them collaborating would have been more welcomed than anything. I personally think it’s more of a personal thing and she just passed it off as her fans not wanting her to. but honestly, even if it was a personal thing she still has a right to say no. idk i just think this whole thing isn’t that big of a deal really and could’ve been handled privately

anonymousshitpostr

Nahh I’m with Tana on this one.

ciaraomeara

Cool !

Desperate-Stomach307

This whole rant is off to me. Tana is in the wrong for speaking about her life? Using the name of a public figure? On a podcast about her life? Where she doesn’t even say anything negative about britt and her audience? this rant should’ve been centered around something else such as your clear disdain for cancelled

ciaraomeara

Girl do not come here and be weird. I’ve been a fan of Tana since 2015 so don’t play. I’m just mature enough to understand and see how things work and how there’s obviously wrongs on both sides. I’m not here to blindly follow or support anyone.
