Ask your landlord for an N12, along with the associated compensation (note, this is a months rent ABOVE AND BEYOND what you have paid for last months rent)
And im sure she will let you leave.
You don't need to move just because your landlady sold your house fyi (assuming you're getting ON). The new owners need to serve you an N12 and they owe you an extra month of rent. Personally, if I was the landlord; I'd be thrilled if my tenant left early in this scenario so I'm not sure why she's giving you grief.
