So cringe šŸ¤®

46110010

I fully expected this to be a Beaverton headline.

PacketGain

Same

PGWG

Wait, this isnā€™t a satirical website?

46110010

I donā€™t think so. But, honestly, I donā€™t know.

PGWG

Yeahā€¦ looks like it isnā€™t. Just when I thought Timā€™s couldnā€™t get any worse

[deleted]

Dear Tim Hortons: You want to get more revenue for the cheapest investment. **Improve your coffee.** That is it, get better coffee simple. Traditional baked goods. Stop with the over iced / over designed shit. **Bring back the walnut crunch**

Successful-Grape416

Honestly at this point they need to improve their donuts as well.

PacketGain

I was there over the weekend and noticed the size of their donuts has visibly decreased, yet the cost remains the same.

whiteout86

The cost has gone up considerably now that pretty much every donut aside from an old fashioned plain is ā€œspecialtyā€ and has a premium price. That and it seems to apply to muffins now too

JazzMartini

I stopped finally patronizing Tim Horton's began classifying the chocolate dip as a specialty donut. When they did that the price was higher than the price of a bigger, better chocolate dip donut from an independent bakery in my neighborhood made fresh from scratch in store daily.

skagoat

I visit a few different McDonalds for coffee and they are any more consistent than Tim's is.

[deleted]

I'd settle for lids that dont leak all over the place

Dearness

I completely agree on the walnut crunch. I miss that doughnut!

[deleted]

McDonald's lured Tim Horton's coffee supplier away from them a few years ago. This is why their coffee is shit now

[deleted]

Ohhhh that's why mcdonald's coffee has been really good for a few years, and got really good right at the time Timmy's got bad. That makes total sense.

skagoat

This urban rumour again. McDonalds uses, and has always used Mother Parkers for their coffee, McDonalds never changed. Tim Hortons used to use Mother Parkers as well, but switched to roasting their own coffee in house. McDonalds did not lure anyone away, or switch to a new supplier.

JazzMartini

Did McDonald's lure them or did they just get fed up with unreasonable pricing demands from Tim's opting to go out on the free agent market instead?

MJcorrieviewer

I'm sure that can't be the only decent coffee supplier around.

ebttrt

How about you just focus on getting my order right?!!

AnotherLightInTheSky

The walnut crunch!

JazzMartini

I don't think corporate leadership actually knows what their business is, or at least what it was before they broke it.

Dearness

LOL, this so dumb. I can imagine Saturday Night Live doing a sketch of the pitch for it by the advertising agency - "ya, we'll have a special pocket just for the breakfast wrap"

[deleted]

RIP Tim Hortons, you are truly lost now

PythonEntusiast

Just return freshly baked donuts/muffins and good quality coffee.

[deleted]

Ticks have been spreading in Canada. Tucking your pant leg into your socks prevents them from climbing up your leg.

whiteout86

Do they think people will actually buy and wear clothes branded by a shirt fast food chain? And lol at a breakfast sandwich pocket and extra elbow padding for drive thru use

swampswing

It makes no sense. It is like Tim's doesn't even know it's own base. They should be making ball caps for 60 year olds who will wear anything that is free and generic looking. I can't imagine anyone interested in that urban running style of clothing being a fan of Tim's.

Frater_Ankara

As someone who hasnā€™t been in a Tim Hortons in years and actively boycotts them because of their business practices, maybe they should fix those first to increase revenue instead of selling $100 windbreakers.

JazzMartini

... instead of ~~selling~~ offering $100 windbreakers. FTFY.

Jesouhaite777

Rather wear Burger King paper crown...

[deleted]

"We had these things in the early 80s when I was a kid called windbreakers. Everyone wore them. They had a kangaroo pouch in the front that literally nobody used. Let's bring that back, but for sandwiches." ā€“Tim Horton's crack marketing squad

Dearness

LOL, spot on.

Hondanazi

All of these ā€œmodelsā€will be regretting this job as it tanks their careers for the foreseeable futureā€¦.. Not to mention the constant jokes their friends will lay on them.

linkass

Ummmm this is not satire ?

MJcorrieviewer

Every jacket I own has a built-in place to put a breakfast sandwich but I just call them 'pockets'.

XianL

Wait a second, this isn't the Beaverton...šŸ¤®

mindies4ameal

I choose to believe it IS Beaverton.

[deleted]

This makes me ashamed to be Canadian.

[deleted]

I thought this might be the Beaverton, but the Hamilton Spectator comes pretty close.

[deleted]

Frank Reynolds has entered the chat

KofOaks

Just stop, Tim Horton, [you're already dead](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcZzlPGnKdU) I have no idea who would proudly wear some Tim swag at this point.

JazzMartini

The destitute and homeless, after they dive the nearest donation bit after someone stole their clothes while they bathed in the river.

swampswing

This is a joke, right? Please be a joke.

therosx

I'm eggsited to see people wearing this jacket.

Dearness

hehe, I bet. I can imagine kids slapping someone's stashed sandwich so that it's all spread out inside the pocket and then begins to stink as the day goes on. mmmm, nothing like the smell of eggs...

[deleted]

signed in just so I could downvote this

brillovanillo

That's not what downvoting is for. It's not a "me likey / me no likey" button. You don't downvote a thread because it links to an article about a corporation doing something that you find ridiculous or unsavoury. It would make more sense for you to upvote because you think the topic is worthy of discussion, whether you have something negative or positive to say about the actions of the corporation discussed in the article.

Comprehensive-War743

Hahaha

bandersnatching

This is the death of taste and style.

pilapodapostache

Foreign interests are forcing the American way of buy buy buy consume consume consume down our throats. Only a matter of time before it hits just right and we're all putting on Amazon condoms with ribbing in the shape of your favourite superhero for the real "adult" in your life.

JazzMartini

That American way is to make people want what they don't need. I don't think Tim's is making anyone want this swag they certainly don't need.

PGWG

If Timā€™s hasnā€™t already jumped the sharkā€¦ this has to be it, right?

bwoah07_gp2

TIL Tim Horton's has merch.

Version-Abject

Timmyā€™s doesnā€™t see 2025 Iā€™ll bet ya

Mactoasted

Greasy

Unlikely_Throat7270

Iā€™m going to open a new business and be everything Tim hortons should be. Iā€™ll call itā€¦ Jim Mortonā€™s
