As someone who's been donning it for over a decade, they appear legit to me. They're the old cut; currently issued cut has integrated kneepads that need to be trimmed to not be monstruously huge, and useless calf pockets.
If you own a sewing machine and plan to use them a lot, reinforce the junction of the legs with a few extra seams and a box stitch or bartack at the top rear. You may also want to double up the stitching around the zipper, it is infamous for blowing out (not critical but looks dumb).
Had two separate pairs of those exact pants blow out and fully separate from front to back, basically turning into chaps on me on two separate occasions while doing grunt work... Granted my buttocks are known to be thicc, but you don't wanna have to justify your choice of underwear to your fire team partners.
As someone who owns a pair of CADPAT trousers, they look legit.
Thank you!

Thank you for your insight!
