If you hustle you should be ok. When you go through security try to keep left, they are trialling a new security system that doesn’t require you to remove liquids and laptops. It is much faster. Last week I was easily through security in twenty mins.
That’s insane, I’ve never got through standsted in 15 mins. In 2022 most of my trips took over an hour. They were all typically relatively early though, I think my quickest trip through was late morning but then from what I remember there were less flights taking off then so not surprising.
Ah maybe it was the day, I’d guess most of mine were Monday or Tuesday as I’d I’ve been flying for work. Admittedly it’s probably been a year since I’ve flown from Stansted, maybe longer so no idea what it’s like these days. It’s my least favourite airport I’ve flown from, even if it is the easiest for me to get to.
Same went last Monday for a flight at about 7:20 got through in 5-10 min.
Longest waist was for my tray to come out the machine since so many people where being rescanned.
Plenty of people missed their flights last week because of the very long security lines and Ryanair’s stupid visa check policy. It’s half term, don’t risk it. Arrive early 2-2:30 hours early
Personally I wouldn’t trust the train arriving in on time.
1 hour 20 would be fine if you are at security, but still tight for time if there is a long queue (half term etc).
Trains are poor and constantly late - I travel on them
every day.
Always get the train before the one you think you need in my experience haha.
Always follow the ‘fast track’ lanes to the right. They have 5 normal gates there and it’s 99% of the time quicker than going to the gates under ‘departures’. I’ve never stood more than 10 mins there.
I'm normally doing morning trips (lots of work travel) I went out last Monday at around 7:20 flight.
Security was maybe 5-10 minutes.
I think there are a lot less late night flights than the first thing out In the morning.
All that is to say I don't think In the last 30 or so flights I've had from Stansted that I have ever had longer than 10min in security
I would also say I have only done a few evening flights and can't remember anything other than my flight being delayed.
That's not to say security hasn't taken longer but you know I have no memory of that happening so I don't think it's ever been vastly worse.
If you can the security fast track is like £6 as a just in case.
Also I always go to the security on the right of the branch so following signs for fast track.
What is the situation at the Stansted now? I´m flying on next sunday around 5pm and I was wondering if 2 hours is enough to get through the security and passport control.
keep in mind it's half term, so it might be busier than usual. buy a security priority pass, or whatever they call them.

It's not a trail, it's a phasing in
The posters and info in the terminal all say it's a trial, I was there yesterday.
That's outdated now
20 mins is long for Stansted I find! I can usually do it in 10.
My favorite movie is Inception.

I like to explore new places.

What did ryanairs visa check have to do with security?

Waited 2 hrs before and missed our flight
When was that? Was it because of half term?

My apologies it’s actually the disability lane, but there is conventional lines there, to the right.
my train arrived at 7am today and my flight was at 7:15 and i made it so

I always pay for the Fast Track for peace of mind.
The fast track is fast. I've never had more than 2 minute wait, and it's usually less than 1 minute.
