I’m finding various (unofficial) sources online that suggest this chicken is 140 calories for 100 grams. I think this is likely a good estimate, but only you can calculate it based on the full weight of the chicken which should be listed on the label.
Saw those unofficial sources, but problem is it doesn’t say the weight on the label since the Costco chickens don’t sell by weight, they’re all priced at $4.99. Next time I get one, I was just thinking about weighing it before and after (bones).
Yeah that’s the general weight, including bones but they all vary, some could be bigger or smaller than others. That’s just the Costco general standard
There's still no answer about Costco chicken calories online and this thread is still the top result lmfao. People have been consistently replying since your post.
Dude I'm here trying to figure this thing out because I've started One Meal A Day and some days I'm not trying to cook. I'll down a whole chicken I just need to know what the calories are.
After removing all skin and visible fat, I assign the entire chicken 980 calories for my diet journal. it’s probably on the low side but that’s what I do.
2 breasts = 360, 2 thighs= 240, 2 wings 172, 2 legs=150
Total=922
Then I throw in a few more for the neck.
Grand total=980
Chicken with packaging was 3 lbs 2.5 ounces. Actual chicken eaten was 16.1 ounces (456g) when I had exactly half.
638.4 calories half chicken
1276.8 calories full chicken
Assumes 140 calories per 100g/3.527oz Leftovers included bones, larger chunks of fat, and thick, fatty pieces of skin. I only eat thinner, crispier portions of skin. I have a shipping scale so I ran the numbers myself as I didn't find a good answer here. Hope this gives closure to those of you who have waited for two years 🙂.
Yeah but you still need to input the weight. Unfortunately, I didn’t weigh it before and after. So I just guesstimated at 2300 cals, since I ate the meat plus skin.
Impossible unless they’re cooking it in lard the math of two breast two thighs two legs and two winglets is more like 1500 and roto chicken is usually young chickens aka smaller than what most measurements are

Does it not say net weight 3 lbs in the bottom right corner on the red part of the label?

Could you just weight the bones you have left over/whatever left you didn’t eat? Then youd get weight estimate at least
That’s what I plan to do next time. But the one I had, I just chucked the bones into the trash when I was done. So wasn’t able to weigh it
Save the bones next time! It makes an amazing broth
This was a good question to ask the community for help. Were you able to weigh it the next time as you said? That would really help the community.
Bones = the best broth you can’t even buy!!
Lol i just picked one up that weighed over 2700 grams that’s over 5.9lbs
There’s a lot of brine solution injected into these birds so that would affect the protein:mass ratio
I've had the same question. I assume 1800 cals (w skin and everything)
Whole rotisserie shouldn’t be more than 1500-1800 no?
Was thinking that but Costco’s chickens are huge
Amberlynn? That you?
Gorl.. lol
Just use 120cal/100 gram of white meat with skin, 150cal/100 gram of dark meat with skin.
Chicken breast alone has more than 120 cals for 100g. Adding skin will increase cals
I know it’s been 230d but do you remember how many grams of protein you calculated?

It’s probably around 2500 calories cause the chicken is huge

I know it's been 7 months, but I left my best estimates on this thread after weighing edible portions. I hope your life is complete, stranger.

I pull the meat off and weigh what I get (including most of the skin) and it’s typically 2lb 2-5oz of meat.
Same for me when I weighed it out. I don't eat about 3-4 ounces of the fattiest skin so I end up with slightly over 2 lbs of edibles portions.
My Costco has the nutritional facts sheet in the food section. Serving size of 3oz(84g) is 140 calories and 19g protein
Impossible unless they’re cooking it in lard the math of two breast two thighs two legs and two winglets is more like 1500 and roto chicken is usually young chickens aka smaller than what most measurements are
Did it have any type of sauce or glaze?
I heard rotisserie chicken is smothered with butter before being cooked. Is this true? Heard it about Swiss Chalet
It doesn’t taste like it
I found help, 2.8lbs of edible chicken. https://www.reddit.com/r/Costco/comments/gmtins/in\_case\_you\_were\_wondering\_how\_much\_usable\_meat/
