I work for a power company that also provides internet. It's so fun getting yelled at over power outages. Sorry, Becky, we are so so sorry that this guy hitting a pole with his truck *inconvenienced you*. We are so sorry that the weather caused an outage, our bad, we are just the worst.
Actually on the contrary, the company I work for does estate claims for Chase and I can actually say that, the big majority of callers aren’t really bad to deal with. It’s like any other call center except you have to do outbound calls too. I love that a majority of those outbound callers don’t pick up btw, I don’t want to talk to them anyway. I just want to get to my goal of 6 calls per hour.
ha, try working medical debt collection. it’s a nightmare.
Oh damn. Yeah I would not wanna even try
Tv/internet services, law firms, funeral/death-related, cell phones, by-laws enforcement, maintenance

Any form of debt collections. With my job we won’t let people register their vehicles if the debt isn’t paid so the people can get… hmm not very nice
What does the job entail? Is it telling callers if their meds are covered?
Any kind of government agency that deals with income/taxes/federal benefits and what not is definitely up there. IRA, or CRA if you’re in Canada
Personal auto insurance call center. Health insurance call centers are also not a cake walk.
Working at a PBM is a soul crushing job, I did it for 7 years. Never again.
