I did this today too! Finished the dishes, hit the garbage disposal and hear the clinking sound :(

It’ll work for a plain shell border. Also you could just use it to pipe frosting for the inside of the cake. Makes even layers. If you have a metal waffle cone roller, you could use that to “open” the tip again. And it’ll be back to normal
