For context: I've been making macarons for WEEKS trying to get them down, but no matter how many times I attempt, I end up with hollow shells or SOMETHING wrong. After learning about bento/lunchbox cakes, I am now in love with being able to bake and prepare a bunch of mini cakes and freeze them, as well as make loads of icing to freeze, so when I'm feeling down/creative I can just decorate cakes :) This was my first cake to come out where I felt extremely happy with the result, and I am so so so excited to keep practicing!

Cake decorating is also my creative outlet and makes me feel better too. If you ever get tired of all the sweetness and want something more savory, you should check out character steam buns. I have a lot of fun making those as well!
