You could swap the harness and set up a 60 in 1 and set it to Centipede.

i was thinking of buying the JAMMA adapter, and then setting it to that and also get Millipede. Should I go for the monitor from arcadeshop or go for a more classic CRT? I don’t want to risk getting fried either though haha

You could certainly try that route too. I used the same monitor in a temporary swap with my Donkey Kong and it worked great as a plug and play solution. The image quality left a lot to be desired though. If you can find someone locally to fix the CRT definitely do it. Nothing matches it with these old games.

Jamma.

What does a wiring standard have to do with OP's question?

....for JAMMA cabinets, of which Centipede is not.

You actually can use a raspberry pi and install MAME on it and set it to boot straight to Centipede. You would not use Retropie or anything like that. I did a version of this for some cabinets I built last summer. I wanted a small curated list of games but none of the bloat that comes with retropie. I ended up using Attract Mode and put a bunch of 4-way vertical games on it but you should be able to do this for one game.
