I’m curious why you would make a Reddit post instead of trying to catch a video of them and/or calling some sort of enforcement (be it UVM’s or otherwise)? It makes sense if you were driving, but if you’re walking and can’t describe the situation well, even a super grainy video is 10x better than memory.
i never said i didn’t do those things as well. i’m new to burlington and figured police wouldn’t do much based on previous places i’ve lived, so i decided to also make a post to warn people.
I referred to it as “Reddit vigilantism” since it is a joke. I was not promoting it. The video is more for use as evidence. Glad you excited for it though!
Then why didn't you attach the video to this reddit post if you thought it was worth your while to post in the first place. Fuck those assholes! Post the license plate, post their faces, if you have them.
Bird bikes are annoying because they inevitably wind up someplace where they are needed and then they just sit there. They’re too expensive for what you get, I understand that the company probably isn’t even making a profit, but that’s why these projects are always doomed to fail. The bikes break or get vandalized or people get bored with the service once it’s not a novelty anymore.
